2021 -2022 I like this place. Their music selection fit me. Neither TV nor football, but I enjoy brixton beer, good Guinness and good vibes. I recommend the south Indian curry. Also, other dishes are good.

Good place to grab a drink (though I'd recommend a pint or one of their mocktails) after work or just in a random afternoon/evening. The staff were friendly and quick to answer any questions. The place was moderately busy when we arrived (around 5p) with minimal indoor seats available, and if anything seemed busier even we left 2 hours later after food and drinks.

Good pint prices for 2023! Fab service and really respected the server who ran down the road to give me the bag I’d left there! Thank you so much!!

Our experience at The Duke was excellent. I brought a big group of clients here and Dale (our server) certainly helped me to impress them. We were given our own room and outstanding service. Dale couldn’t have been more attentive. The food was also delicious and one my clients loved the homemade tartare sauce! Thanks so much for making our lunch extra special, Dale and the team, we will be back!

A delightful street corner hostelry on St. John's Wood Terrace. Lovely staff and good cold keg beers. Loses a little bit as no cask ales for those that do, please correct me if I am wrong! Light, airy altogether a comfortable place for a beer.

Great food, nice music. Prices for drinks are respectable in this economy. Bar staff were so incredible. Especially to note a bartender named Kervel. Made sure I felt welcome. The food was amazing and kept me satisfied. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Got a few books in the corner for a quiet read with your Guinness. All in all a place I would love to come back to again. Well done Duke of York Team.

Popped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food: Soup of the day was leek and potato and it was delightful. Full of depth and flavor, served with two slices of toasted bread. The Gloucestershire Old Spot sausages were light and flavorful, served with perfectly mashed potatoes and gravy. Beef burger was delicious. Service: Friendly and attentive. Cost: £42 for all the food noted above, a beer and a sparkling water.

A great spot to unwind and have a few drinks… wether a nice cold beer from their various well stocked taps or any other concoction you fancy. Food is very good standard pub grub served hot and plentiful. Always a nice atmosphere to be had by all!

🚇 St John’s Wood 🍺 £7.00 Moretti ❤️ A laidback St John’s Wood pub. . The Duke of York is located at the end of upscale St John’s Wood High Street, this NW8 watering hole is a pleasant five minute amble from St John’s Wood Station. . This pub was established in 1826 and has been a focal point of this local well healed community for some time. . The decor here is contemporary and stylish and the pub feels bright and airy. There are lots of low level seating as well as standing room at the bar. There is also outdoor seating around the front of the pub if you fancy a bit of people watching in the warmer months. . The beer choice was good, there is a line up of familiar brands but I didn’t notice any real ale. I decided on a Moretti, my pint was nice enough but this is the most I’ve ever paid for a Moretti, £7 ouch! This pub also offers an A La Carte food menu. . I visited with my family on the way to see The Hundred cricket final at Lords. The pub was busy with the majority of punters outside lapping up the September sunshine. There was a real buzz around the place, the location of the pub makes for a fantastic environment. . The @dukeofyork_stjohnswood is a lovely boozer in a great location. The ambiance is really appealing and this is an easy pub to settle in to. The price point is at the top end which reflects the area but similar pubs in similar areas charge less. Would I recommend a visit here, absolutely! . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 03/09/22

The Duke of York is a sophisticated pub situated among the shops of St John’s wood, a stone’s throw from the tube station. Having visited before for a drink, I enjoyed the pub’s chilled and classy atmosphere, and decided to return to see if their food menu lived up to my experiences so far.

The short answer is no. The long answer will give you a little more detail as to why.

Had to wait an hour for my mediocre food.. On a normal working day!? Wasn't terribly busy either. Service was on par with the food (lacking everything)

Cosy. During the day it is a cosy place to have lunch, sit by the fireplace and people watch. Wi-fi and lots of interesting regulars make it a great spot for a pub lunch and getting some work done. We had the fishcakes and shepherds pie which were yummy. Service was great and it was nice to chat to interesting locals hanging out reading the paper.
