Just amazing!! We had Saturday brunch here and loved everything about it. Great service, delicious food, nice cocktails and priced well. Highly recommend Kudu and can’t wait to return! Also - they have gluten free bread available and lots of other GF options

After a lot of online hype, I was really looking forward to trying Kudu and booked it for my birthday. The interior is lovely, with a cute outside patio in the back. Absolutely wonderful service, all the staff were welcoming, kind and attentive. The kudu bread with butter was really unique and delicious - very light and fluffy bread with great flavour. The scallops were delicious and fresh too, very well balanced. However, we treated ourselves to the expensive beef dish and I was quite disappointed. It just didn’t have much flavour at all? and the truffle foam was a textural nightmare. The cabbage was too hard and the mustard too strong. Everything other than that dish was delightful, but a shame as it was almost £60 just for that dish! I would come again for everything but the steak.

I would go here weekly if it wasn't so far away from me. A small restaurant near the Peckham overground serving South African cuisine. The sommelier helped guide us through South African wines to pair with our dinner, and he did a great job. Food wise, each dish had a different texture and taste to amuse my tastebuds. We started with their signature bread with two types of butter. I highly recommend getting both butters to try the more meaty savory taste and the fishy taste. The churros were my favorite. I loved how small and crunchy they were along with the little yellow sauce on the side. The tartare and the chicken hearts were nice, but didn't stand a chance against the onglet steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired so well with the mushrooms and veggies. For two people, this was the perfect amount of food. We had no room for dessert.

Great place. The lady who was running front of house was a great host. Food brilliant, Absolutely brilliant. A little bit too much grilled cabbage / lettuce,.But this is very minor, really sensational. Would love to have the recipes. I am attaching photos but they are of poor quality and do not reflect the quality of cooking.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive and friendly staff! It's not cheap, but each dish was well worth it. I was blown away by just how good their bread was!! The cocktails were great too! Thanks to Bridget for being an amazing server :)

One of the best meals I've had in a while. The food was excellent, with strong and interesting flavours but really well balanced. Our favourite dish of the night was the scallop potjie, which was exquisite. Service was also fantastic - shout-out to Fin who explained each dish to us (origins of the dishes and the reason for each ingredient's inclusion) and checking up on us despite being super busy. Great dinner!

I loved this place so much, atmosphere in there is lovely, staff are brilliant. I ordered off the vegetarian menu (the african carrot, the courgette potjie and the kudu bread), and my partner ordered the chicken and prawn ravioli; every single dish was delicious, well presented and flavoured. Really enjoyable experience overall, in good weather, I’d recommend getting a garden table.

Staff are brilliant and atmosphere is lovely , However it's quite expensive for what it is (over £90 pp with drinks). Our medium dishes and desserts were fantastic (and the bread is lovely and fluffy) but a lot of the snacks and small dishes were not worth the money and just weren't super flavoursome (like the ravioli and the parmesan churros, and the seafood butter was more seaweed than seafood). Glad to have visited but maybe be slightly more conscious with what you're ordering (we did just order most of the menu).

Was underwhelmed by the seared tuna and onglet steak. Loved the truffled potato mousse accompanying the steak though. Scallops were delicious.

Kudu and the food was amazing. As a South African I really loved the South African influence on the menu. But I must add that having South African waitresses/ waiters and managers makes the experience an easy 10/10 for me. I unfortunately didn’t get anyone’s name but shoutout to the guy with a beard who was so accommodating. I reserved a table for 2 at 6pm on the Sunday by accident and arrived on Saturday and he so kindly said he would make a plan. We sat at a table that was reserved for 8pm and I’m so grateful for that. I want to give a massive thank you to the bubbly enthusiastic and very South African woman who I overheard had only been working there for 3 days!!! I don’t know her name but know she was living in Cape Town for many years before coming to Kudu. Whoever hired her should get an award because she is a gem. She was like a shining light around the dining room. In London we are used to waiters serving you because it’s their job but you could see with this woman she was genuinely passionate about the food, the restaurant and about meeting people. I could just see how she made an effort at every table and honestly improved everyone’s experience tenfold. Thanks for an amazing dinner!
