Very nice place. Unusual for me that the place around the corner of a tourist attraction actually has good food and service. But they do. Very nice staff. Good atmosphere. Nice surroundings. And excellent fish and chips. I recommend!
Place was full on a Tuesday night but the server managed to get us a seat. You need to order from the bar. The food was served promptly and was tasty. Ambience was very nice.
The atmosphere here is just what we needed and loved! The staff was great and the food was delicious. We didn't have reservations, but happened to walk in as soon as they opened.
Not a bad spot to catch a breather if you’re heading to or from The British Museum. Place isn’t large so might not be easy to grab a seat. Went for the Museum Tavern Ale for £5.30 which is a decent price for a pint. Tasted bitter, malty and watery which might be your thing if you’re interested in
Great pub! Amazing interior. Great location, serves fish & chips. Service friendly and quick, food arrived well cooked , fish was tasting great. Good selection on drinks, a lot of cask to choose from. Good atmosphere in the evening. Recommend to visit
Their fish and chips were out of this world! 🐟🍟 The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were so flavorful and addictive. It was a delightful combination that left me wanting more. The service was top-notch too, making it a truly enjoyable dining experienc

I always love brown bar, but the foods here are great. One of the best fish and chips I ever had. And the choc cake is delicious too. Love the battered halloumi!
Decent food and nice staff, a very friendly and inviting pub for a pint or two. A bit out of the way but if you're around the British museum it's a nice one to visit for sure!
Great! Visited on Thursday night. Amazing atmosphere, very cosy and beautiful pub. Had chicken Kiev it was delicious. Gin & tonic - well served , bartender gave me some many recommendations which gin to go for. Very good service and atmosphere, will definitely return.
Friendly and helpful staff. Food and beer quite tasty. Across from entrance to British Museum.
Nestled in the heart of London, just a stone's throw away from the iconic British Museum, the Museum Tavern stands as a testament to the city's rich historical tapestry. The pub's proximity to the British Museum and having a regular a notable regular (Karl Marx) adds an intriguing layer to its alrea
