A very good place with a very beautiful variety of different platters at reasonable prices and prompt and punctual service with the help of a very friendly and professional staff.

The Pearson. Fish pie and the cobb salad are really great from here, too good to have and so delicious really loved them indeed! Loved it indeed!
If there is one thing that Canary Wharf has abundant, then that is glass and the beautiful views that come from those towers made of it. Being more or less an attachment to Reebok Gym (of which I am now a proud member of), it was inevitable that I would end up trying it out. Location: The Pearson Room, Canary Wharf, London
I had only ever been to Canary Wharf once before, about six years ago to see my step-cousin run the London Marathon, but when I was asked to review a restaurant headed up by the people behind Gymkhana, Bubbledogs, and Trishna, I knew I couldn't turn it down. The Pearson Room opened in 2013, and offers contemporary dining in the heart of Canary Wharf overlooking Canada Square. Housed in the Reebok Club, the view at sunset was pretty magical, and the cocktails from the Bombay Sapphire menu were delicious!
Every time I think about The Pearson Room or go there, I’m reminded of Suits. You the Pearson, Harvey and…(I won’t spoil it for you) law firm that we all love! And yes, this place really is full of suits. But hey, don’t let that put you off because amidst all the smell of cologne and the Reebok gym next door, this place isn’t bad. Walking through Waitrose you can hear the loud talking, laughing, chatting, yelling and so on. Located bang in the middle of Canary Wharf (London’s financial district), this is the place where everyone reconvenes after slaving in front of their spreadsheets. Hey, I’m not judging! Just saying it how it is ;) I’m sure anyone who works around here would be well familiar with this place.
So we decided to have dinner here. I love a good steak so had to order it. I mean surrounded by all this testosterone, surely they would do the steak some justice right? And they sure did! Really well cooked and seasoned meat served with salad (and generous amounts of cheese! :D) I was a happy bunny. They’ve updated their menu so it looks even more enticing. I’ve got my eye on that Ribeye with the black truffle butter. Mmmm! Gimme!
Roaming around the financial district of Canary Wharf has never been my playground. So when i made my way deep in to the heart of it all i realised there's actually something quite exciting about it all. Not only the multitude of fine dining restaurants for wooing clients over, but also the tranquil industrial side of Thames mixed with what feels like stumbling around the blocks of New York. With the building so sky-high, judging where you are is barely impossible. Even Google maps seemed to think i was always in the building next door. I was late for my booking, and incredibly lost. Once we finally, and I'd like to exaggerate that word ' finally ' found The Pearson Room , which is located in the Reebok centre - we were glad to just sit and relax. There really is no indicators to this restaurant existing. You have to find a tiny Reebook sign, pass a Waitrose and get in the correct lift. I'm sure passing trade is completely unheard of here. But they can't exactly help that, it's only hu
The Portuguese-style wings were marinated for hours in chilli, soy and spices so that they had a deliciously rich, seasoned taste all the way through. They were garnished Japanese style with pickled ginger, sesame seeds, grilled spring onions and plenty of fresh coriander.
I recently tried this place and had a great time here. The food was excellent, especially cheese burger which was cooked to perfection. The service was just fine but with a few glitches. The ambience was great with comfortable seating. This place is situated in quite a prime location. I would love to visit this place again for it's wonderful food and would recommend others to try it as well.
The place has been much heard about and i have been lured to the various posts and articles posted about this place speaking of various dishes. The burgers, fried chicken have been mentioned for the delicious well cooked western cuisine this place offers. However, this place did not come to same terms with me!
I love having Portuguese food and the ingredients that they are suing are quite rich. The food is very delicious. The dishes were garnished in Japanese Style and I really loved this thing. They had pickled ginger , sesame seeds , grilled onions and fresh coriander which I really loved.
Canary Wharf happens to possess one of the most fine dine-ins in entire London. There have been quite a few restaurants I have been regular to ever since I went there first. From the staff to the service to the decor to the delectable food to the environment to the ambiance, everything is amazing. Cheers.
On my partner's birthday, we decided to try out this newly opened restaurant and cocktail bar. The location of this place is absolutely fantastic, and both of us were quite impressed by the funky yet classy interiors. We were greeted warmly and were directed towards the cocktail bar. The bartender prepared our drinks professionally and the drinks were escorted to our tables. The waiters were impeccable and were very attentive.
We ordered a Rib eye steak and Lamb cutlets, both of which tasted delicious. The Rib eye steak was one of the best I've ever tasted and was cooked according to our specifications.
We just can't wait to visit this place again and try out some new dishes.
I recently visited this place and was completely awestruck with a wide variety of options available in the food as well as drinks menu. There is an extensive wine selection to choose from and the staff is pretty helpful in making you choose the best option for you. The food was excellent, especially maple bacon and pork for the main course and Huevos Rojos was a pretty decent option for starter. The prices were pretty decent as compared with the food quality. I would love to stop by this place again.

There really is no indicators to this restaurant existing. You have to find a tiny Reebook sign, pass a Waitrose and get in the correct lift. I'm sure passing trade is completely unheard of here. But they can't exactly help that, it's only huge buildings in Canary Wharf, no standalone restaurants on the sidewalk. A cheeky Bourbon sour proved to be one of the best I'd had. A Negroni, while excellent really could have done with a little more strength. Olives too, the mammoth kind were incredible and tossed in a little light vinegar.
Service here at The Pearson Room was immaculate. From the moment we sat down our waiter couldn't have done enough for us. Starters shortly arrived and first to come out was a seabass ceviche with ginger, sesame seeds and some sort of tortilla type crackers. The actual flavour of this dish was lovely, but the main problem (of which my photos don't really show) was the portion size. It was like eating a tapa or bar snack. Three fork fulls and it was gone. It barely scraped the sides and for £10 this was asking alot. Eating it slowly is key as to refrain from not sitting with an empty plate in front of you while your other dining partners are still only halfway through their starters.
Deep fried chipirones (tiny squid) were seasoned to perfection, covered in chopped green chillies, sprinkled with lots of coriander and served with a jalapeno mayonnaise. Again it was hard to fault and that heat and seasoning were so unbelievably moreish you couldn't help but shovel them in at the speed of lightning. A problem arose again, portion sizes. The dish itself felt again more like a tapa or bar snack, and not at all like a starter. If this was made the same way with either calamari rings, or just something else on the side i could get it, but as it was i couldn't quite work out what to make of it as a starter.
Main courses came out and to our surprise portion sizes were near perfect. And actually so were the dishes - almost. Rib-eye steak with black truffle butter and a rocket salad with Parmesan was exactly the sort of dish we were craving that evening. Cooked medium rare the meat was as soft as butter, and tender to the fork. Although a little cold in the middle. We were willing to overlook this due to the intense flavour and smokiness from the grill managing to seep its way through every fibre of meat. Rocket was peppery and the truffle butter which could have easily overpowered was subtle and earthy. A lovely dish whose side of buttered mash let it down, as of course did the meat not being completely warm all the way through.
Opting for the special of the day out came the grilled monkfish. Served on a bed of richly flavoured risotto, chopped herbs and pieces of crispy salty bacon. It was a dish which really didn't match the description i was described, but actually its arrival was a much welcomed one. The quantity of monkfish was questionable but with risotto being such a heavy thing it actually worked out for the best. Except I'm sure some people may be a lot hungrier than me and be disappointed with only a few cubes of this gorgeous fish on their plate. I couldn't fault that risotto's flavour, buttery, oozing flavour and with that all important bite.
When the dessert menu came out we were hoping that there may at least be some orderly balance in the dishes this time round. And in fact one of them was very well balanced. A fried apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Not too dissimilar from what we'd normally refer to as a McDonald's Hot Apple Pie (although making the latter sound repulsive). Fried perfectly, covered with sugar and filled with an apple spiced mixture that reminds you far too much of the impending Christmas season just round the corner. Served with good quality ice-cream (home-made i suspect) and dollops of fruit coulis. It lived up to being just as good as it looked.
I'm all for presentation but when my chocolate fondant with caramel ice-cream came out i wasn't sure if i should be taking the hint with my plate cocoa decorated with a Bethlehem Star. That or one of the chefs went a little crazy with the paintbrush. It just looked a messy. All that being said you couldn't deny how good that chocolate fondant was. Soft and firm on the outside, but runny, smooth, decadent and richly flavoured on the inside. Ice cream was good and that little extra helping of sauce and fresh fruits around the plate gave it a sort of black forest gateaux. Gorgeous.
I was slightly baffled by my meal at The Pearson Room. Overall the food was good, and sometimes excellent but what it lacked were the basics. Such as presentation, steak being warm all the way through and most importantly - portion sizes. The strange thing was that at the end of our meal, while deciding on a digestive to wash our food down we turned over our menu, and there were the bar snacks - chipirones and ceviche. There is certainly some talent here in the kitchen and with new Head Chef Tim Tolley on board perhaps it just needs to find its feet. Because if the rest of the food can match those incredible desserts then I'm sure this place could become much more of a destination restaurant - which essentially is what every chefs wants to see their restaurant become.
Really enjoyed my meal at The Pearson Room. The food is amazing! I had the buttermilk chicken burger which was sooo good! The service was great and the view there is amazing. Really reasonable price considering the standard of the food. The Pearson Room has a lovely atmosphere as well. I would recommend to everyone!
Very good restaurant, very good food, good drinks, very friendly staff
Such a gem of a place with delicious food, amazing cocktails and lovely staff. Went for the comedy and live music night and it was such a fun evening, the atmosphere was great! Have been a previous time and had very gramable cocktails too!
Had a fantastic lunch at The Pearson Room this week, far exceeded my expectations having never eaten there and my new favourite place to take clients. Starters were particularly delicious but all the food and drink was on point. One thing I really enjoyed, compared to some other venues in the Wharf where the tables are rammed in close together, is the open and airy feel of the place. It's just a nice place to spend a couple of hours. Staff very attentive. Well deserved 5 stars. Keep it up!
A return visit for us following several great previous visits and our best experience yet. We remain impressed by the outstanding service on offer at this restaurant and the updated menu left us struggling which dish to pick.
We dined on a Thursday evening and had a 3-course meal with cocktails to finish. The service was friendly and welcoming from the outset and we appreciated the recommendations for dessert from the waiting staff.
There was a great ambience without it being too noisy or overwhelming and the surroundings always providing a great setting for a special meal.
An additional mention to Sarah who was fantastic and really made our time at the restaurant special.
My partner and I are looking forward to returning in the near future and we'd like to thank all the staff in The Pearson Room for another 5-star visit.
Well designed restaurant with a great view. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would go again.
The Pearson room is stunning! The view is amazing and the customer service is even better.!
We had such a lovely long lunch! The staff were next level, attending to our every need. Even our toddlers. The food was the best we have had! We especially loved the Chicken, Mackerel & steak for mains and the pork cheek started was really spectacular! Can’t wait to go back! Thanks for such a lovely afternoon:)
Always a pleasure! Cannot repeat this enough - best place to enjoy a relaxing athmosphere along with exquisite food and tasty cocktails. The views over Canary Wharf are breathtaking from here and the service is top. Recommend this place to anyone, whether it's just a quick drink after work, or a special occasion.
One of my favourite places to eat in Canary Wharf. I am always overwhelmingly impressed with the service of all the staff who truly go above and beyond!
I highly recommend the whipped feta to start and the chicken burger as a main course. Portions are just right and leave just enough room for a dessert.
During my most recent visit, the bar manager made recommendations for wine pairings which really was the icing on the cake.
I also recently learned that all the ice-cream and sorbet is made on site which is another reason to go back!!
We had an excellent breakfast in wonderful surroundings up there (at the 2nd floor, keep looking, you'll find it... eventually). The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. The food (we had pancake) seemed at first scarce but was actually sufficient. The plus is definitely the toilets which are a must see if you can beat the maze. It's a good place to treat yourself.
We used a semi private area of the Pearson room to host a company celebration. The venue was spacious, Nina was helpful and always prompt on her responses. On the night the staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough to help and food was delicious.
Thanks for making our event so enjoyable!
Lovely evening, fabulous food and great service. Spectacular view as well. Definitely recommend.
A pleasant surprise! We went on a Tuesday night and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Food, service and wine were all amazing. The only complaint I have is ‘throbbing’ from the gym studio which was quite disturbing at times. Otherwise it was a perfect date night :)
Had a lovely evening, very nice atmosphere with great views. We had the tuna for starter and chicken burger (so yummy) for main and some really nice cocktails! Shared a really lovely desert. Will 100% back as is very convenient location. Thanks for the great service team! Recommend everyone gives the place a try!
This is one of our favourite spots for Thursday drinks. Always a great atmosphere and fantastic views. Whilst we usually go for drinks, we do sometimes treat ourselves to a bite to eat and I must say, as a burger lover, their burgers are up there with the best! Highly recommend
We went here for a very special team lunch- it was a late lunch and a few members were running late, the kitchen was due to close for lunch at 14.30 but the staff and chef were extraordinarily accommodating. They kept food warm for latecomers, make us special starters and even gave the special guest of our party a one off dessert! I would
HIGHLY recommend The Pearson Room, great staff and a wonderful experience!
Great comedy night with live music… looking forward to coming back again
