Meat House London

It was a wet Wednesday and nearing their closing time. I booked 2 minutes before I got there. Yes it may have been a bit quiet but the food was cooked well, recommend the cheesy chips with an 8oz ribeye. Well cooked and well seasoned. The house merlot is also not three bad. Yes I have had better but I have paid a lot more. If it's quiet pounce and get a good steak at a reasonable price.

I have dined here many times before lockdown. As we in King's Cross, the halal options were limited so we decided to grab dinner here as it's the only decent halal option. I can't lie the menu was lacking compared to what it was 3 years ago, no more brunch options either which is a shame! But understandable due to COVID and lack of business. The food isn't terrible but it's not great compared to what it used to be. The owner was working today and she was lovely! The staff are friendly and the place is nice and cosy.

Really liked the steak here, I actually had the tomahawk and shared it. Even with two people sharing there was still enough meat left. There was a lot of flavour to the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The roast vegetables were really nice as well. Service was a little slow as there was only one person serving. Overall, had a good experience and will probably come back again.

I went to this place tonight to celebrate something special with my mum And my little brother, and it just topped the day off with excellence. The food was rich and succulent. The atmosphere was calming and enjoyable with such decor. The service was outstanding also. The man serving us made sure we had the top experience at the place, he was very humble and extraordinarily wholesome, causing me to write this review. If your looking for a chill but rich night, this place is a top spot.

The Meat House lives up to its name. It serves good meat. We had a large party, and all the food came out very quickly. The service was a bit slow, but very attentive. The Justin Bieber blasting in the background was getting old, but it was still bearable. I ordered fish n chips, and it was easily enough to feed two. The portions on the other dishes were also quite large. Very worth the price.

A great halal place to visit if you like meat. We were seated quickly and the staff were very eager to please, which was nice. Food came in good time. The virgin mojito tasted nice and was generous in size. Nachos as the starter were very tasty. Would recommend! Portion size of the steak was excellent. The waiter needed prompting to ask how it should be cooked and also if we wanted any sauce. The Pentonville burger tasted OK but was rather average for the price and portion size was also fairly small. The dirty fries I got with it were nice. The swap from skinny to dirty fries incurred an extra fee which to me didn’t make sense given that they cost the same on the sides menu. We also weren’t warned of this so came as a surprise on the bill. Overall, would recommend but a few small things that needed altering for 5 stars.
