I have dined here many times before lockdown. As we in King's Cross, the halal options were limited so we decided to grab dinner here as it's the only decent halal option.
I can't lie the menu was lacking compared to what it was 3 years ago, no more brunch options either which is a shame! But understandable due to COVID and lack of business.
The food isn't terrible but it's not great compared to what it used to be.
The owner was working today and she was lovely! The staff are friendly and the place is nice and cosy.
Really liked the steak here, I actually had the tomahawk and shared it. Even with two people sharing there was still enough meat left. There was a lot of flavour to the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The roast vegetables were really nice as well. Service was a little slow as there was only one person serving. Overall, had a good experience and will probably come back again.
I liked the feel of the restaurant. Felt a bit more like going to an Uncles house than going out, not in a bad way or anything. Maybe I'm trying to say it was cozy like.
Went to a Meathouse and ordered Fish and Chips. Lol.
I really just wanted really good F&C, and I wasn't disappointed. Well battered and tasty. My partner had a Slow cook short rib ( I think) no complaints from that angle.
Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area, and then update this.
Shop is very nicely decorated and the staff seem very welcoming and friendly. The steak was nice, nothing to blow you away but to be fair the price is reasonable. The peppercorn sauce was very nice.
Lovely place, food was good, disappointed with the skinny fries a bit to crunchy for my liking. Will defo be back.
You gotta try the spicy chicken wings, absolutely loved them
The Meat House lives up to its name. It serves good meat. We had a large party, and all the food came out very quickly. The service was a bit slow, but very attentive. The Justin Bieber blasting in the background was getting old, but it was still bearable. I ordered fish n chips, and it was easily enough to feed two. The portions on the other dishes were also quite large. Very worth the price.

I recently visited Meathouse London, a halal restaurant that unfortunately also serves alcohol.
While the atmosphere was nice, I have to say that the food was just alright. I tried a few dishes including the ribs, sirloin, and mixed kabob, but unfortunately nothing really stood out. It's a shame, as I was hoping for a more memorable experience.
Although the lamb from the mixed grill was pretty good.
Overall, Meathouse London was just average and I probably wouldn't return.

It was a wet Wednesday and nearing their closing time. I booked 2 minutes before I got there. Yes it may have been a bit quiet but the food was cooked well, recommend the cheesy chips with an 8oz ribeye. Well cooked and well seasoned. The house merlot is also not three bad. Yes I have had better but I have paid a lot more. If it's quiet pounce and get a good steak at a reasonable price.
Came here a little later on a Sunday evening and was able to get a table no problem. Staff were nice and attentive and the food was great.
I had a short rib with fries and dry slaw and was really happy with my meal. Plenty of meat on the rib which was really tender and came with a really rich BBQ glaze sauce. The fries were fresh and crispy too.
My partner had the pan fried salmon. A very generously sized portion of salmon that was nicely cooked on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. It came accompanied with pan fried vegetables such as carrot, peppers, courgette and aubergine with a creamy sauce drizzled across the plate.
We also had a generously sized portion of Mac and cheese, which again was really nice, rich and creamy too.
I would fully recommend this to anyone who likes grilled meats and fish, and would return in a flash!
A side note, their draught beers (Peroni in particular) are also quite cheap for central London.
