Literally drained after a long Christmas shopping haul. Found this pub, and just ordered myself a cold one. Good pub food along with it. Would definitely recommend this pub if you’re walking around oxford street and want to sit back for a bit.
Cozy little pub that happened to be across the street from our hotel. As I was visiting London, I just had to order fish and chips! I opted for the ultimate platter - fish and chips with garden peas, pickled onions (which they seemed to have forgotten to include as per the menu listing), bread/butter along with curry sauce and tarter sauce. The fried, carb-loaded meal hit the spot after a busy day of sightseeing.
Classic English pub at marble arch.
Tried the traditional fish and chips with peas
Pint of beer
Trio of chicken burger
Chocolate pudding with hot custard
The cod was fried perfect and the coating was typically golden with crunch
Good wholesome food without much frills
Worth going
This little pub is tucked away into one of the smaller by lanes behind marble arch. The ambience was cosy and they even had a fireplace running which was super cool. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the food was just average. We ordered a shared plate of burgers, fried fish and wild boar sausages. The meat could have been a little more succulent and the bread a little softer and the dips that came along a little more inventive. If you are looking for typical English bar food, this place should meet your expectations.

Its not just a PUB its a GastroPub and will find that as you enter it . it seem a Classic
After a long walk through Oxford Street this could be a good pitstop to restore your energy.
Have a pint, a glass of wine, a burguer or even an apple pie . everything will be tasteful.
notes .
don't expected a lot from the service . not so nice
This pub looks like a real english pub! The food is good. The perfect pub to go in winter time and sit by the fire.
The staff is ok but not to friendly.
I was a regular visitor s few years ago, they served an excellent platter that had, hot chicken spicy wings, pork spate BBQ ribs, egg fry, french fries! Etc! They don't do this anymore! What a disappointment that I took my son to have this platter and this was unavailable! Great
Good place to go after shopping if you want to get away from the crowds on Oxford Street. There is a beautiful fire place in the middle of the pub, so best time to go is in winter!
Lovely pub in London. We tried 2 of the burgers and fish and chips all were delicious actually. The place was half empty which might have helped with the speed of service which was pretty good. Around 22 pounds food plus a round of drinks
Would give this 6. Great location, wonderful building. The interior is very nice. Food was good and well priced. Beer (Estrella) was very nice and well kept it seemed. Staff was the main reason for 5 stars, very very nice and actively took time out to ask how I was after my long travel down on the coach. Very friendly and service was very speedy. 100% place to go in central London. Loved it.
Best Pub I found in London on our vacation. Gertrude is a very lovely employee. She and her colleagues took very good care of us, recommended drinks and were very friendly! Hard to find these days. Delicious meals and great ambience. Cheers
Classic pub, great vibe, especially on a Thursday evening when the office crowd was out drinking. Cozy, historic interior, great beer on draft and cask (Landlord!), and a friendly, hardworking staff to keep everyone happy.
Steak pie was good. Fast delivery of food to our table. Guy at the bar was great and knew what he was doing. Classic London pub experience, but a bit more on the pricey side
Friendly helpful service
Good quality food everything tasted great 😋and prepared without delay
Interesting interior decor but rather dingy
Toilets rather well hidden as well 😳
Lost a star as cheese 🧀 platter desert was “off”
Awesome pub experience! Food was great, atmosphere was excellent and staff was friendly and made you feel welcome!!
Decent GK pub slightly off the beaten track, near to the gleaming stores of posh west London. Great staff, fairly average beer selection. Reasonable prices for this part of town.
Super little pub with good selection of beers and great food. Had the steak which was done to perfection. Only thing stopping the 5 star rating was......
No garlic bread (boo hiss) but seriously enjoyed so much will be back again to try the squid ir fish and chips which the best table had as they looked well worth a try
Kitchen closes at 9 but you can't order past 8:35pm. They've redeemed themselves the next night thankfully and we've enjoyed the meat pies (steak and ale) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and salmon fish cakes. Yum!!
