Yuuuummm!! Love it, I think that's all I can say. Love it! The pork pibil tacos, blackbean and three cheeses quesadilla and my favorite of all the sweet potato and feta taquitos. I could honestly have this everyday. Also my daughter who is almost 5, and is being going to Wahaca since she was 1, swears by the kids menu with cheese quesadilla.

Was taken by my collegues for a treat here and the moment you see this place you get great vibes by it's cool look and ambiance. The ambiance is very cool and although a bit cramped seating, it gives a great feeling and interiors are very vibrant. It's a whole Mexican fare to offer so a mix of tacos, burritos and qusadillas were ordered. The food was pretty average to good and nothing stand out actually except the dessert. Ordered the churros and they were amazing. The food looked appetising and presentable but tastewise pretty fair. Service was quite slow, it was busy and had waiting queues but took ages to get attention even after seating.

Ambiance - 4.5/5
Service - 2.5/5
Product Quality/Presentation - 4/5
Taste - 3/5
Portion size - 3.5/5
Value for money - 3.5/5

It’s hard to escape the phenomenon that is Wahaca. Well, I did a decent job of trying. Heard good and bad things. But finally, I had the chance for my own taste of their Mexican street food-style dining when my cousin was in town. Turns out Wahaca was one of her London favourites, so now was good as chance as any. And whilst Wahaca’s signature broad-strokes can be polarising, I was pleased with half of my experience. The food is mostly interesting (one major miss). Service however, was a complete shocker.

Extremely spicy food, with a terrific taste.
As a mexican food lover I planned in advance my "foodie moment" to Wahaca when I was still in Portugal, and I was far from disappointed!
We ordered two Margaritas and a menu to share that had a variety of mexican products for people who want to try a bit of everything.
In general all plates were good but the sweet potato with goat cheese was, by far, the best! Believe me, it's a MUST try if you go to Wahaca.

Definitely want to come back when I return to London!

I loved this restaurant! I decided to come here for the first time with my boyfriend, as he loves Mexican food. Firstly, the staff was super nice and helpful. The space inside the restaurant is very creative and engaging, and I loved it.
I was scared that because it was a Mexican restaurant, I wouldn't be able to find any healthy options, but I was happily surprised to find out that their salads are also super healthy and taste amazing and spicy! My boyfriend also loved the quesadillas, and overall it was a great night out.

When you’re in London, everything seems to be expensive. But this place seems to be a little more expensive. However the quality of their food made me love Mexican food. Recommended: Burritos.

Great selection of Mexican dishes. Sweet Potato Salad one of my favourites. Make sure you try their extra hot sauce! Only if you have what it takes!

Visited after our trip to London Eye to unwind in the terrible summer heat. The place is generally crowded and if you want a table with a river view, you will have to wait for an hour or so. From bar menu, we tried Corona Michelada, Pacifico Clara, Mojito, Pinot Gris Jean Bid, seasonal cocktail and finished with shots of Don Julio. Stick to Pacifico, seasonal cocktails and tequilas.
For the nibbles, we ordered guacamole with tortilla, chilli Quesadillas, pork pibil tacos, chicken Tonga tacos, huitlacoche empanadas, sweet potato and feta taquitos. And sweet tooth cravings were satisfied by churos y chocolate and coconut crumbed plantain. All the nibbles except empanadas were good and can be ordered again. Though I will suggest to order the Wahaca feast if you have time in your side.
Benji, our server was warm and friendly and though we were the noisy table on the floor, he made sure we had good time.

Sweet Mexican franchise, open-till-late with awesome burritos. The mojito was tasty but would prefer with less ice. The guacamole is the proper one. Loved the chipotle and habanero sauces.

I could safely say that wahaca initiated my love affair with Mexican food. Whilst I cannot vouch for the authenticity, wahaca managed to wow me with the flavours of Mexican food. The menu is comprehensive with choices for everyone, no matter how huge their appetite is.The tasters allow for more variety and are easy on the pocket. Service is quick and efficient. The location and the design are my favourites; housed in old shipping containers with full length windows overlooking the Thames.

We had booked a Sunday lunchtime table, and were able to sit outdoor with our dog. Very pleasant given the location. Menu is extensive and always has something new to try. I had a salad which was fine although a bit tight on the feta, then taco pork pibil, really delicious. So were the steak tacos and the chicken taquitos. Service was friendly and quick.

It was a lovely cool evening in the weird English summer which made it suitable to request to be seated outside. Nice cocktails also, though I felt the drinks could have been more elaborate. Far too many drinks missing from Mexico.

The food was good. But I felt the servings could have been more, I still felt a bit hungry post meal. The steak was well done to perfection but the fried cheese was a bit off-putting. The bbq sour dip went well with the steak.

The staff was amazing, they give you that extra attention for the menu and drinks.

Went to one of their other stores back in June for my birthday and absolutely loved it. I was very excited to visit their Waterloo branch. I love the style of the shipping containers and fairy lights. Would love to visit here again in the evening. The food itself was fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and just so appetizing! I ordered a gin bramble which is always a favourite. My partner ordered a virgin Maria and it was really unpleasant. There looked like there was too much pepper and it tasted way too strong.
I will visit again to try the rest of the menu. Hopefully I'll get a seat upstairs next time as it looks loads nicer.

Love Wahaca. Although this branch isn't my favourite, they never fail with the food. Built out of 8 recycled shipping containers and nice views over the river Thames, it's a great setting. Simple, fresh and very tasty. On this occasion I went for the sweet potato and feta taquito (which is my ultimate fave and my first choice every time), steak tacos and a black bean and cheese quesadilla. Presentation today was a little lacklustre and they were a bit skimpy on the dressings. Very busy today as its half term so that can be excused as the flavour didn't disappoint. I washed it all down with a Hibiscus Flower, (Ribena without the sugar for all intensive purposes) with a shot of vodka. All in all, a scrumptious, value for money lunch.

Some great places to eat on the south bank but if you're looking for something light then Wahaca is great. Works like a tapas style restaurant so just order as much as you feel. Food and ingredients are always fresh and Wahaca has a great selection for vegetarians

Wahaca was recommended to us by a friend and we decided to go there when we were in London on holidays. It was e great experience for us and we had there a great taste of Mexican street food. You can eat outside at the river or inside of the restaurant.
In Wahaca you can try a lot of different flavours. Our favorite are tacos, quesadilla and taquitos. And to the end we had churros with chocolate sauce. Very, very good :)

The restaurant is a great place and has great location on the South Bank looking out at the water.

When you pay the bill they give out free seeds of pepper to customers which you can plant .
All together Wahaca is a great experience of Mexican street food. We recommend.

I am so sorry that it’s taken me a while to get this post out to you. I suddenly got reminded whilst admiring my growing chilli plant, but I will get back to why that’s related at the end. When my cousin was popping over for a visit in June, I thought there’s nothing much better than sitting alongside the river with a cool breeze on a hot day. So we trotted down to Southbank and paid Wahaca a visit, with its large doors open on to let the summer breeze flow through as you take up the sport of people watching southbank.

Good Mexican street food for a relatively cheap price! Ordered the chicken quesadilla, which had a good kick of spice to it, and also the tacos with British steak, which was so juicy and flavourful. The sweet potato chunks are really yummy too.

What I love about this Wahaca is definitely the funky interior. Good place to eat on a sunny day.

If you are a lover of Mexican soap-operas and have ever wondered what it feels like to live in Mexico then look no further than Wahaca. The restaurant delivers a captivating Mexican experience to its guests. The Music is strictly Mexican, the food is appetizing plus the scenery around the restaurant is breathtaking.

I would recommend the street food, Chicken pipian which is basically grilled chicken in a nutty pumpkin seed and tomatillo sauce garnished with red cabbage and the green rice and beans as a side.

Wahaca's growing popularity is testament to its quality and it's fast growing reputation as one of the best suppliers of Mexican street food in London. Whether just wanting to grab some takeaway from the stall outside, or enjoying the comforts of the restaurant itself, Wahaca is definitely a must visit when strolling through the South Bank.

Being in a rush, I opted for a quick getaway and ordered the Chicken Tinga from the stall outside. The flavours were perfectly balanced, with the spice from the chipotle contrasting the the refreshing avocado salsa inside the soft yet crisp tortilla.

The service on the stall was fast, which is ideal for those in rush and not wanting to wait in what looked like a crowded bar/waiting area. The pricing was reasonable considering the location, but perhaps bordered on the expensive side for a takeaway. But as with a lot of things in this life, you get what you pay for, and Wahacas is definitely worth it.

If you don’t want to queue for a table, get in before 19:00 for dinner. Absolutely love: grilled British steak tacos and tortilla soup. They serve non-alcoholic fresh cocktails as well and Virgin Mojito is one of my favourites.

Such a fantastic experience and a great taste of Mexican street food. I loved that you could order loads of different items and try different flavours all in on go. This South Bank outlet is probably the best one I've been to, I loved the way it's been set up with its amazing street art to complement the street food. This is a must visit if you're looking for a place to eat along South Bank.

I love this branch of Wahaca, it's edgy & cool and there's a lot of novelty fun to be had at this not so temporary pop up in Southbank!

However there's a long wait for a table - even on a weekday and it's over an hour till we get a seat! If there was a better bar area, it would be no trouble at all but it's awkward waiting on a rainy day and they could do a lot better if they had a proper seating/standing area. The drinks are nice, but somewhat lacking in alcohol - bit stingy!

The staff are helpful and they point us in the direction of the new item on the menu - nachos!! I'm very tempted but also still full from lunch so instead I opt for the chicken tinga tacos (a little greasy) and my absolute favourite item ever - the sweet potato chunks.

Somehow though, there's always room for dessert and I can never really look past the churros.

When a chain is run by a Masterchef Winner, you know that the food is going to be good and Wahaca did not disappoint.

Lovely Mexican street food served in a better more comfy ambiance. More like a picnic in the park, than say a street food experience.

Staff is lovely, full of energy and fun. We had a toddler with us and they really helped make her comfortable.

Their pork pibil mini tacos are amazing as was the horchata. The burrito ended up being a bit too much rice and flour for me, but it could be because I ate it after all the other little snacks. The grilled corn was brilliant. I much prefer this corn to the American corn. This was slightly less sweet and seemed to have much more fibre.

Cant recommend the mini pork pibil tacos enough. The Yucatean marinade in that slow cooked pork was amazing. The chicken was good too. But trust me, the pork was way softer than the chicken.

The frijoles was also beautifully creamy. Our toddler preferred the frijoles much more than the guacamole and I would have to agree with her preference too.

I had great nights here with my friends . I love their food . Chicken tinga burrito is my favourite . Other favourite is chitpotle chicken quesadilla . They have a great Idea of giving out free seeds to customers which you can plant . Try their tacos , crispy and perfect with yum filling . To end it have their favourite churros. Warm churros dipped in chocolate sauce is so good .

I may be biased due to my obsession with Mexican food but I do like Wahaca. Judging by the overflowing little restaurant on a Tuesday night, I am not alone.

This was my first time at the South Bank branch. It is very edgy and warehouse-y looking, probably this is exactly how a street stall in Mexico would look, but smaller.

The burritos never disappoint. Our table sampled the vegetable, pork and chicken variants- all excellent, my favourite being the veg option. I had sweet potato chops and extra black beans on the side. Almost better than the main. Yummy. The smaller portions- taquitos, quesadillas etc were also decent.

Cocktails and desserts were a bit blah though. Hardly any alcohol in my margaritas and the four desserts we tried were indifferent. Meh. Can't have everything.

Good ambience, friendly, if slightly scattered service, and fabulous food. Happy to go every week!

First time to a Wahaca, and I was very impressed. Service was really quick and the staff were really friendly. You order in person and then pay online. There's a great choice on the menu, including lots of vegetarian options. Food came really quickly and was well cooked and very tasty! Good value for money considering the location.

Super colourful atmosphere, great location and views, fun vibes! They are pretty serious about alternative diets and allergies with abundant vegan and gluten-free options. Food and drink were all very delicious and the staff was attentive, especially the manager’s response and handling of the situation after realising their mistake on our menu was exceptional. Big thumbs up, would defo go there again!

Mexican food with river view. The restaurant is located up a set of stairs and is on 2 floors, with many seats. The staff was very friendly and nice, though they really want you to get some extra food/drinks. Food was ok, the only issue was that i think my burrito was premade and it was half cold and half hot, should have been warmed up a bit better. You can get an NHS discount and payment is only by card using a QR code

Service was not great, but thankfully they have a QR code so you can pay and leave when done (and not wait for the server). Love the mocktails-the non alcholic margarita was nice. The pork pobil bowl was good, I would come back for it. The trio of salsas was okay, probably wouldn't order again.

They put great attention to every detail, make it super easy to make reservations and to queue virtually if you just pop in without any reservation, plus are very kind if you visit them with children. They gave us a lot of "Día de los muertos" themed activities to do with our son. We had sweet potato bravas, enchiladas and tacos and for drinks orchata and Hibiscus. Definitely a place to visit. We will come back again!

This place has such delicious food - the vegetarian options are delicious especially the halloumi tacos. The food comes very quickly - the drinks less so. Cocktails are great too with a wide selection. It is always quite busy here but the atmosphere is lively and the view is amazing! Would recommend :)

I really wish they had a tres leches for dessert though ;) lovely place, lovely vibe! Hope to visit again.

We were 5 of us without a reservation. Seemed to be a very busy place but had a nice relaxed feel to it. We waited 10 mins and were shown to a nice table. All of us being vegetarians were excited with Wahaca as they have a really good veg selection. We ordered small plates, large plates, salads, sides, fresh juice. The food was outstanding, service very efficient and the experience was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant
