I don't know why it's getting such a low rating!!! It was really great. I had the Sunday special roast lamb and vegetables and it was delish! Fall off the bone! I really liked it. Had a Guinness with my dinner. Service was great. We ate upstairs which was warm and toasty and smelled of delicious food which was a nice escape from the freezing cold and snow! Ate here after seeing Matilda :)
Significantly exceeded expectations, Outstanding meat pies, service, and atmosphere.
I came here for a late lunch, in the small upstairs dining room, Not crowded at all though. I was served fast, well and attentively by Varun. For my meal I ordered the steak pale ale pie. Every aspect of the dish was perfect. The potatoes were creamy and well seasoned with a mixed salt. The side of beef stock gravy was rich and they gave plenty for the meal. Main course was the best all around meat pie I have ever had. The crust was crispy but not hard, buttery but not too heavy. The meat had a unique and balanced taste from the ale but in no way overpowered. A true 10.0/10.0 performance, hands down one of the best meals I've ever had and reviewed. The level of perfection beyond justified any concerns you may have with pricing.
Food was nice but expensive! Not many people in there so it was quiet. Cute pub, toilet is upstairs and TINY. Had Fish and chips with mushy peas for £16.50, tasty & not a long wait. Bottle cider was about £7.50. A shock for those not used to London prices lol Staff were friendly. Interesting art on walls regarding the Masons so curious about the history of the pub
Everyone just loved the live guitar and vocal guy. I hate Him, couse his much batter than me :) we all love the atmosphere in this place. Rate: 12/10! We will hear this Performer in some national radio with his own songs in maksimum 3 years. Thanks!
we had a lovely evening in Porcupine. high quality pub, good products and pleasant environment. Anita served us professionally, great service. I suggest you come and test it too, it will be a great choice
It's not my first time at The Porcupine. I like coming here to try their pies.
I also like the decor and the staff is always so nice and helpful.
This time it was Krupa who made my visit very pleasant :)
Great Fish and chips! My wife had the sweet potato pie and my son had the lentil cottage pie. Sitting on the second floor by the window with a pint is a great place to people watch.
Had dinner and drinks by myself and felt extremely welcomed and was helped out by the wonderful Varun! Shepherds pie and sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Would definitely go back to this spot!
Very kind service and nice selection of drinks.
We had a Camden Ale 🍺 and was very good indeed.
Hands down one of my favourite pubs in London! The price is a bit expensive but the quality is very high! Came here randomly one night for a beer and was pleasantly surprised by the yummy menu. I had the chicken mushroom pie which was awesome and shared nachos at the table which were a hit! Service was a little slow so don't come if you are in a rush. This is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the area. I will def be returning to The Porcupine with more friends in the future.
Varun, our waiter, was wonderful and attentive and the food was delicious. A great dinner and restaurant to visit while in London!
