We were here on a Friday night and absolutely loved it! The vibe, decor, everything. Drinks and tapas were amazing too. Thank you to Kinga for looking after us throughout the night! We will be back! Customer service 10/10

THE MOOD: A easy to reach location in Piccadilly and a little hidden away between two commercial properties so you may walk past without realisation of the great food inside. Coya serves up a number of Peruvian sharing plates.

The decor does not really shout out and less pretentious than some other venues so you will always feel comfortable.

THE FOOD: The set lunch menu is a deal at £28.00 per person for two courses but you do choose two items from the first section and then one main from the next.

The journey began with the Ensalade de Quinoa (Quina, coriander, mint, pomegranate) which had a real sharpness to the dressing and a really good dish to cleanse the pallet and also the portion was big enough to also have as an accompaniment to the main. Followed by the Anticucho de Pollo (2 Chicken skewers, ahi amarillo, garlic) were cooked well and a really pleasant marinade not too much to overpower the chicken but just the right balance.

We also had the Berenjena (Japanese aubergines, miso, sesame) cooked to perfection with a nice crispiness.

The final accompaniment we had was the broccoli which was to die for

The main course I opted for the beef and I was glad I did. Given the lunch time deal I was surprised by the portion size and although there was some fat and not the best cut of beef I have had the marinade was at the top of my list.

Even though this was a lunch with sharing plates still ended up spending around 2-3 hours and time flew past but still could not finish all the food.

A great selection of desserts was beckoning me but I was too full to try but next time I will not leave without trying as I could see a few on the list I would love to try.

THE DRINK: Now as I personally do not drink means I may not be the best to advice on this but I do try to take someone along who does and likes seafood more than me so I am able to give a more rounded review. However on this occasion no one was in the mood to drink (heavy night before I was told) but luckily Coya has three non-alcholic cocktails and one I have had before I thought I would try again to check its consistency. So I ordered the Inti - which consists of passion fruit and pineapple with vanilla syrup and coconut purée. - This is probably on of the best non alcoholic drinks I have had and such a great blend of refreshing flavours. Coconut hint which leaves the perfect amount of aftertaste and when you don’t usually like coconut but love this it is a testimony to the mixologist. Consistent from the last time and the only difference it this time it was served in a simple tall glass and last time I was given a decorative container. There was an extensive wine menu however.

THE VERDICT: A fantastic place to each to share or not to share. Good selection of food including many seafood items as well as a selection of vegetarian as well as beef and chicken. The sharing portions are a good size and so will be looking to visit again but I would advise booking in advance as it seems the venue is always busy.

THE BILL: This came to £125.00 for two with just two non-alcoholic cocktails. So i would say on the high side of things for a lunch.

Wow what an amazing meal! Loved it from starter to dessert. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food was so good. The Chilean sea bass croquettes with red chilli was unbelievably good. The chilli packed a good punch in to the dish I would go back for this starter alone. Also I really did enjoy the pulled pork bao buns immensely. The other dishes were also very pleasing as was the chocolate dessert. The pisco sour was fantastic.

I’ve come late to the Coya bandwagon. When the first London outpost opened a coupla years ago – and Nikkei/Peruvian cuisine started being a trend – I’ve put it on my “hit list”. But, as life happens, you tend to take for granted things or places (sometimes people, LOL) that are just close by. So a Coya visit has been placed in the backburner of a “hit list” notebook that’s long forgotten.

Great foods, lovely flavour and a relaxed vibe. Its a different feel from what i'm used to. Not typical restaurant style. Coya has low chairs and table, but the ambiance and vibe is 'sit and relax'.
We ordered Chicha coldada cocktail, Trio Ceviche, Gambas,Berenjena as starters and Chuletas de Borrego and Lubina Chilena for mains. Everything on the menu is for sharing, which is good ! We finished it with dulce de leche, and sweetcorn desserts. Loved everything, a bit pricey and portions are bit small.

What a place. it is a great place for a great food. Ist time had peruvian food. Was really surprised by the variety of vegetarian options. the wild mushroom dishes were really great. mini tacos was really nice and the brocolli and asparagus was amazing.
the amience was little too dark and found the overall place a bit cramped. but want to impress someone with your knowledge of food and great palate, this is the place

Coya Mayfair is a gem. Inventive food, efficient and well-informed service and beautiful ambiance with delicate lighting and acoutics and an eclectic selection of art, for decor and purchase.
I went one Friday lunchtime for a work celebration. We started the afternoon with pisco sours (of course) in the bar before moving to the dining room. As we were keen to make the most of the day, our server offered to choose a selection of best sellers and specialties from various parts of the menu. Of the starter courses, the dishes that really stood out include; the spicy tuna ceviche, yellowtail tuna tiraditos, beef skewers (pictured below), and chicken wontons. We also tried the seabass ceviche, which was good but slightly lacking in flavour in comparison, and the octopus (normally a favourite of mine) served with an olive tapenade, which I thought was a bold and not entirely convincing flavour combination.

The next selection of dishes was primarily from the grill and all were sensational. We had the spicy beef fillet (epic), the sprouting broccoli (a must!), crispy potatoes with spice tomato and huancaina sauce, lamb chops, and seafood paella (which was the star of the show). Make sure to save room for these grill dishes. Coya also boasts a comprehensive wine list from various regions around the world. To accompany the fish dishes we selected a lovely Chablis and then moved on to a Barolo with the grill dishes. Both were stunning and reasonably priced. For desert, the chocolate lava cake (only sometimes on the menu) can't be missed. All in all, Coya is a sensational experience and an absolute must for any foodie!

A gem in Mayfair. The restaurant is walking distance from Green Park and easy to find. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS, especially the fish. The starters look small but are enough to prepare your stomach for the main. I will say the food is a mix of Peruvian /Mexican food, but in a fancy way. It's a bit pricy but worth it for the service, food, and atmosphere you are getting. During lunchtime, expect more business lunch meetings to see around.

Excellent food, one of the best restaurants in London. Atmosphere was great with music, with a really good service. Our expectations were high and the reality was even better. This restaurant never disappoints. It’s on the pricey side, but the quality of the dishes justifies every penny. I highly recommend the tasting menu ! Also thanks to the staff for making my brother’s birthday celebration so special.

Decent food but expensive for what it is. Between us all we ordered a good number of options from the menu, most of which were enjoyable. The average price was £125+ per person and the food couldn't justify the value. The service was great and atmosphere were nice.

Lovely setting, tasty food and excellent service from Sandro who took care to note our food allergens and discussed suitable alternatives with the chef (we are vegan). We went for our 20th wedding anniversary and received complimentary champagne and a sorbet. Would highly recommend and would gladly return. A couple more vegan options would draw us back sooner.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service. Waitresses were very welcoming this has been also shared with the Manager presence that he took a minute to present himself. The atmosphere at Coya Mayfair is very suggestive and professional. The food was very tasty and well-presented.

We got the set menu, you get a lot of food so good value for money. The fish based dishes and ceviche were absolutely delicious, definitely the star of the show. For me the meats fell short, they lacked flavour and weren’t as good as the fish. Drinks and dessert were okay. Service was amazing, all the staff members were so helpful and knowledgeable. Nice chill ambience and vibes. Probably wouldn’t come again but definitely worth a try.

Incredible! Peruvian perfection. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, hot and fast. The menu is a la cart, and every item deserves to be the star of its own show. I wish we could have ordered the entire menu.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Ambiance, food, service and energy, COYA has it all. We decided to do the tasting menu, because there was just so much to choose from, it simply made sense. Every dish was perfectly executed. There wasnt a single dish that we were unhappy with in any way. Great for a special occasion or simply to enjoy life and have a great meal.

We went there to celebrate our 15th year anniversary. Enjoyed the vibe. Service was great and you are really taken care of. The only thing that would have left a special & different touch was that, like many other restaurants, they could have offered our dessert complimentary for the occassion of our anniversary or even offered a special desert for occassions on the house. That would have made u feel happy. Its like someone gifting you on your birthday! Previous day we were at another restaurant and they offered us small cake bites with a message on the plate, although we ordered dessert ourselves too. At Coya we did get the message on the order we made, but really that was it. Paying £ 285 for 2, wouldn't really bother the management to add those little touches.
