I was not expecting much from this place considering the look and feel I saw of it. However, I was in for a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and we were guided by them to a space which was like a proper dining hall.

Though pricey and expensive, this place delivers good quality execution and makes your time here worth it all!

Not everything on the menu is outstanding at the restaurant but some of the dishes are really splendid. The portion sizes are gigantic of the mains and it was savory and sumptuous. the service is decent and even the prices are reasonable. the must try is the ice cream which is amazing.

I am a regular visitor here and I can surely say that the food is always of high standards here. The black pudding is the best one in London according to me.
The coffee is also very good here and you will love to sit here and enjoy.
I often go for brunch here and would recommend same to everyone.

A good cooked meal can always make your day and if that meal comes from a hotel which is mediocre then that is going to be highlight of your evening .
It is little difficult to find but it is worth the effort that you are putting.
It provides with fairly limited menu but the food is very delicious .
The service they provide is good too , I would definitely go there again. Hope to see you too :)

This restaurant at the hotel gave me the chance to have a great and enjoyable experience. I was seated at a table by the window, enjoying a beautiful spring night in London. The tapas style items were all delicious, none letting me down. My favourite was the garlic shrimp.
The good wifi connectivity throughout the hotel, enabled me to get work done, whilst I was seated in the restaurant. The service was impeccable and in all it was an amazing place.
A must try!

Me and my brother both work near to this place so one day we drop by at this place for a quick lunch. We went for smokey chicken, pear salad and burger and fries. All the dishes were reasonably priced and delectable. Our waiter was polite and prompt in getting our orders as he knew we did not have much time. Would definitely come to this place more often from now on!

This restaurant in the hotel was simply great. The service was exceptional and so was the food. We had our breakfast and dinner here. Both the times the meals were equally enjoyable. We ventured here by default, as most of the other joints in the location were too crowded and it was close to our hotel too.
We would definitely eat here again!

I've tried this place before and was not happy with it but the staff there made sure that this time I had a fantastic meal. The food was amazing, everything beautifully presented, and the food so flavourful and fresh. The menu was good, with a variety of options, and the servings were huge, so much so that I packed the leftovers and brought it home.

The place is popular, manly because of it's location, close to sever offices and the office crowd often comes her for a quiet lunch. the place is always quite full, and the service is good. the food however is not very good but no one seems to bother really.

The first thing to strike me about Eastway’s dining room was its quiet; the signature mood of the City on a Sunday afternoon, not unusual, but always hard to get used to. Our table occupied a bright spot near a window overlooking Liverpool Street; no doubt a fascinating observatory on weekdays, when the City buzzes with liveliness and life. On the dark side of the room, at the opposite end, stood my personal bruncher’s heaven: a table packed with complimentary fresh pastries and homemade bread, still warm from the oven, abundant complements to Eastway’s brunches. These are available until 4pm on weekends; an ideal timing for those like me, who can’t bear eating savoury food until the early afternoon, and for those who’d eat anything in the morning, but can’t bear waking up before noon.

Eastway’s brunch menu combines standard breakfast fare and lunch mains with creative variations on classic recipes. Eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royale are listed alongside more exotic versions: Mexican inspired Eggs Sanchez (with chorizo and guacamole) and the Indian twist of Eggs on Brick Lane (with curried potatoes, chutney and a dosa pancake). Dishes based on British asparagus and the evergreen smoked salmon coexist with Beef ceviche and Mediterranean Merguez sausages. My meal was a feast of new flavours, marking my first encounter with more than one Anglo-American favourite.

My first plate of poached eggs set my brunch off to a good start. The look of my Eggs Royale (two egg halves on thin muffins, minuscule in their massive white plate, like the figure of a little girl playing with her mother’s oversized skirts) worried me for a second, but the taste test immediately reassured me. Even the hollandaise sauce, which I usually find sickeningly buttery, had a delicate flavour that pleased my palate. I scooped it up with a piece of English muffin; the indulgent British equivalent of scooping up Bolognese sauce with a morcel of crusty bread.

My first plate of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup was my highlight of the day. The pancakes were thick and soft, unlike anything I’ve ever had or made at home; the sweet and savoury pairing, one I never thought I’d ever have the guts to try, wowed me in the most unexpected way. The icing sugar sprinkled on top was a mild case of overkill, but that may be just down to my taste).

My first taste of Marmite went down surprisingly well. Concealed in the spicy glaze of a confit chicken main, it carried a strong, bitter flavour, followed by a pleasantly smoky aftertaste. A nice pairing with the tender, juicy chicken, and especially with its skin. If your mum taught you to scrape off the skin before eating your chicken, I urge you to forget your upbringing for the time of your meal; you won’t regret it, I promise.

My first breakfast smoothie (a mix of berries, honey and skimmed milk) accompanied me throughout my meal, refreshing at first, slightly overwhelming in the long run; the side effect of continuing to sip on it long after finishing my chicken. As a breakfast drink, I’d have it again any time, perhaps choosing yoghurt over milk. I’m not sure I'd brave making my own Bloody Mary so early in the day, but if you’re that kind of bruncher, the self-serve counter offers a wealth of poisons for you to experiment with.

Eastway would be a gem if it weren’t for its prices: while the quality of ingredients deserves praise, price tags are disproportionate to the tiny portions most dishes come in. It’s hard to justify spending £15 for one (!) chicken leg with one small waffle and three (!!) cherry tomatoes on the side, and paying £5 for a tiny glass of smoothie doesn’t feel right either. That isn’t to say I’m shocked, or even mildly surprised; I’d be a fool to forget that Eastway lives in the middle of the City, with its population of shiny suits with amplified spending power. If you’re a City dweller, a salesperson wanting to entertain a business contact, or an executive mixing duty with pleasure on a work meal, you’ll love Eastway; if you’re an average office worker with a wallet smaller than your stomach, you’ll lust at it from afar, scouring your calendar for the next occasion that calls for a special treat. I hope you find it, for Eastway’s brunch is worth trying at least once.

If the Champagne Lounge was a little on the quiet side then Eastway already had a real buzz about the place. The hotel has based this restaurant on a New York style brassiere, albeit a refined version (not like the ones we visited in NYC). This time we huddled excitedly around the ‘Interactive Cocktails Station’ for a Caipirinha making demonstration. Once we were shown the basics it was up to us to experiment with the lychees and mixed berries with, especially in my case, very interesting results.

Master of the Universe style breakfast.

Straddles the line of both an easy and power broker atmosphere with an almost Americanised large selection and portion of breakfast fare.

I wish I was dressed for the occasion. You know you love your food when sharing a casual meal with a colleague is an occasion; Eastway with its Brasserie style seating arrangement and its well thought out meal presentation was not well suited for the weekend concert attire I had on. That being said, this does make for a perfect place to indulge in a healthy and wholesome meal.

I love uncomplicated menus, it allows me to read everything slowly and make an informed decision, I have never ordered well when given too many choices. On this luncheon occasion, I decided to order healthy (yes, I do this once a week) and ordered for the Salmon Steak with Red Onion Gravy. What a delight! Cooked perfectly to medium rare and presented with a small ribboned bag of Lemon; I had immediate mixed feelings of digging in and continuing staring at it at once. I also happened to pick off the Orange and Chicken Salad that my colleague had ordered as a Starter and I have never been this magnetically attracted to Oranges before (I believe they override my personality in a big way, a matter of a different conversation).

At the end of this; I could not have had a drop of water without bursting at the seams although I was tempted to drown my sorrows of having enjoyed an Orange with a small cup of Espresso.

In a Nutshell: No complaints, only praises for this place. Attentive service, gorgeous looking food and a satisfied tummy. I’ve heard they serve a mean breakfast too

Life's too short not to have kippers with old friends before work. Today, three of us converged at Liverpool St and nipped into the neat, unfussy, elongated brasserie Eastway with its mid-20th century New York stylings and its bustling midweek spirit.

Smoked herring, hash browns, cappuccinos, poached eggs, hollandaise, spinach, orange juice... Start a day like that and everyone else is just playing catch-up. If one were to nitpick one would point out that the poached egg was a percent or two undercooked (runny yolk: yes please; runny white: our lawyers will be having words), but other than that the kipper was excellent, the spinach not too soggy, the hash brown beaut as ever and the cappuccino just to my subjective liking.

The pricing and optionality of the menu are equally attractive, with eggs various ways around ÂŁ7, the kipper with poached egg et al ÂŁ11, and if you're not sweet enough already, have pancakes. Waiting staff do the job effectively and unaffectedly, and by 8am the place is alive.

Bob Woolmer, I believe, said that muesli is the breakfast of champions. On current form, I'd rate Eastway as the champion of breakfasts.

Really enjoyed it, went for our wedding anniversary. We had a voucher meal (so I can't really comment on the pricing) which was excellent. It wasn't very busy, but had a good atmosphere and the waiting staff were excellent, attentive but not bothersome. The food was impeccable. My steak was perfectly rare but wonderfully seared. We were so stuffed đŸ€Ł

First visit. Haddock fish cakes were hot and tasty. Said it came with a vegetable salad, this was just a salad, couldn't find any vegetables, but tasty and complimented the fish cakes very well. Service attentive. No need for bowl of herby chips, this was a large bowl of chips, generous portion, enough for two, but not very herby, but enjoyable, nonetheless. Would I visit again? Yes, I would. Great location, around the corner from Liverpool Street Station.

Superb three course meal, attentive, knowledgable and friendly service. Highlights of the meal were the tomato soup, like nothing we’ve tasted before, Caesar salad with crispy lettuce, light sauce and tasty anchovies with crispy bacon pieces, followed by a smoked haddock fish cake bursting with flavour and an amazing homemade vegan sausage cassoulet. Deserts were sublime, especially the chocolate fondant, words can’t describe how special it was, the cheesecake was excellent too. Big thanks to Ef and Carlton who were spot on and on the ball, very special thanks to the amazing chefs. Will most definitely revisit and strongly recommend anyone reading this tries it out.

While the mash potato are light and tasty. The peas are crunchy and fresh. I recommend it absolutly. Dont take the pasta if you have a big appetit. Food was very good. The service was slow and disorganised, in spite it was a weekday lunch in a business area. It took us a long time each time to draw attention of the staff in spite the restaurant wasn’t busy. We had to ask a few times for our order or reorder from different waiters.

Went here for weekend brunch. Food was very good and the Pride themed desserts was a very nice touch. I think the waitress was new as she didn't seem to know what was included or what drinks were on the menu. A pleasant dining experience but pricey

Had a lovely experience here with friends last week. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a get together with some wine or a romantic meal with someone special. We took a long time ordering our food but the waiters did not rush us at all, they were very polite and helped us with our choices when we were ready. The food was lovely, very tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented. We also got dessert, we were sold by a pecan tart and it was unbelievably good! I would be tempted to go back just for that. I would definitely visit again.

Started with crab Scotch egg really delicious, then fishcakes as mains -fishcakes a little crispier than expected. Overall, nice food, busy place! Service slow, staff friendly. Didn't have reservations, almost walked away.
