The BEST and yummiest sandwich (tuna and yoghurt) I have had in years! Brilliant coffee and great atmosphere too. Wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

I remember my very first encounter with Timberyard Coffee a couple years back. I was hanging out with a couple of my friends around Covent Garden. We wanted to find a place to chill and somehow stumbled across this place. It was busy in there but there’s this special charm about it that propelled us to go in. We were also really lucky to have managed to find a table at the downstairs seating area too.

This is one of my new favourite places in all of London.  The best place I've ever been in for coffee shop working.  Brilliant idea, great food, friendly service.  Relaxed and conducive to hours on the laptop working.

Timberyard offers a great place to work, study and have a coffee. They have a range of different seats including sofas and upright chairs. The coffee is served in a wooden board with complimentary bottle of water. The ambience is nice.

Love the friendly service, the nice tall bottle of water that is served with the coffee along with that board to carry it all.
Free wifi is a big plus as well as reasonably clean bathrooms. The only downside is that for all these reasons and perhaps the location - this place is always packed.
Walk around the area of Seven Dials. It's a true gem.

Seems like a place where people who wants to do some work on their laptop while sipping their favourite coffee go to. Loads of people with laptop and place is a bit crowded. be prepared to share sofas and seating with strangers. Apparently they have an upstairs too.

Had the latte and matcha latte - both were very good, though found it a bit pricey compared to other places.

I went here with a friend for a revision session during exam time. The seating downstairs has music and is mostly comprised of students studying in groups or individually. It's convenient for study sessions but gets extremely crowded fast, so make sure you get there early! All their food is fresh with both healthy/dessert options, and the staff is really friendly (you pay/order upstairs and they bring down the food for you).

I just think it is slighty pricey but it makes it worthwile considering the cosy setting and good ambience. For example the hot cocoa portion was quite small for its price.

I would nevertheless recommend it for a group study session (a great alternative for when you need a break from the library scene).

The only problem with this placeis it tends to get really crowded and so its hard to find a spot but I loved their coffee (Tried the cappuccino). Their croghnuts are to die for! I tried the nutella one! I heard their match lattes are good so they're on the list for me when I go there next! Follow me on @traveling_foodaholic for more!

Great place for tea, coffee, snacks, or a meal. There's free wifi, plenty of seating rooms, and it's a nice place to work, meet people, etc. in Central London.

Really cool tucked away hipster working hub. This spot is packed with people on laptops! There is a huge downstairs area with a cool creative vibe and good wifi. The crowd is very young, international and hipster. The food and drinks are perfect for the 'work' environment, very organized service too. They have some semi heathy treats but would only say the date balls are reliably so - not a cheap spot either! A bit crowded and loud at times, but definitely recommend if you're looking for a spot to grab a coffee and snack and get stuck into cyber land.

Friendly, cosy and comfortable with an overwhelming amount if delicious cakes, cookies and (their famous) cro-doughs. Free WiFi, water and plenty spots to charge phones, this is a haven in the midst of the craziness of central london. It's nice and quiet so perfect for meetings or work, but a lovely chatty atmosphere. The coffee is superb and the friendly service is enough to bring me back. I think cro-doughs are a little overrated but worth trying!

Cosy armchairs, vintage suitcases for tables, a gorgeous display of locally supplied treats, including a mouthwatering lineup of crodoughs (the best of a croissant and doughnut), and matcha lattes that are by far among the best in London… Quite a lot to love really, about this airy cafe tucked away from the bustle of Covent Garden.

Often we need a place for a specific kind of activity: romantic date, impressive view for drinks with people we secretly hate and want to let them see how amazing we’ve been doing, and, at times, for an anti-social retreat to a place with WiFi and sockets. In this new series of places I go deeper into the tea/cake/coffee/WiFi scene of London.

Timberyard is a retro, vintage, 80s style café with two locations. We visited the one just a few steps away from Covent Garden or Leicester Square. Chemex, filter brews, and tea for drinks

I've found my study spot. Timberyard is a cute little (until you see the downstairs) coffee shop with a stress-free, working vibe. You order upstairs, head to wherever you're sitting, and they'll bring your food/drinks to you on a trendy wooden slab.

I went to study with a friend, and there were a plethora of outlets. Beware, though, this place can get crowded quickly. The decor and ambiance were lovely, and the walls double as an art gallery with details and prices of the mounted photographs.

I ordered the Cinnamon Spice tea, and it came with a recommended brewing time timer which I think is fabulous. The tea itself was on point! Later, we got hungry and split a coughdough (no clue if I spelled that correctly). That was the only thing lacking for me. The baked goods look amazing, but the one I tried was alright, and definitely very pricey considering it's more expensive than the original Dominique Ansel NYC (those are heavenly, if you're ever in New York and have a chance to go).

However, they redeemed themselves with an excellent latte! I need to find out which beans they use....

If I could marry this cafe and have its babies, I would. Anyway seriously, this cafe has got it all worked out. Nice chilled atmosphere, inspiring space for startup and entrepreneurs, brilliant coffee, food, free WiFi and powerpoints for solo hogs like me. The staff are awesome, and should stay that way. What did it for me was when I accidentally spilt my coffee around my saucer and looked around desperately for a napkin, then as if he read my mind, one of the staff pops on over handing me a napkin. Bless you nice lads and ladies!

Another contender featured on my list of almond milk lattes for About Time Magazine, Timberyard is divisive: some people love their coffee, others downright hate it. I'm a fan of their ever-rotating menu of freshly made cold drinks, like the raspberry iced tea in the summer, and their sandwiches, which are usually too big for me to finish on my own.

Timberyard is particularly good if you're a student or freelancer. Their free wifi, meeting areas, and loaner iPads make it easy for those who have a more flexible work schedule to hunker down and get things done.

They also have a fantastic range of desserts and pastries, ranging from brownies to fluffy croissants. A good little stop if you're pounding the streets of Covent Garden. You'll struggle to find a seat at lunchtime.

This cafe despite of being in the middle of a busy place manages to steal the silence and calmness from the crowd. It has free wifi which everyone can use without asking for a password. There are comfortable couches and chairs along with big meeting tables where a team of 7-10 can fit. The cafe offers quiet a good number of options in bakery items along with soup, coffee and tea. I ordered a tomato minestrone soup which comes with a focaccia bread. The soap came in a good big bowl which serves as a full meal which costed me only £4.50.  Its a good place for people to sit and work or read while enjoying coffee or their other offerings.

One of the best cafes in town . It has a friendly and fun atmosphere with a great selection of sandwiches , coffees, teas and other baked options . I generally go there for a good mocha and a chewy cookie to go with it .
They also serve one of the best salmon sandwiches .
It is also a good place to work as it has enough plug sockets and comfortable seating . So you can choose this place for a breakfast ,when you want work or simply chill with some buddies.

Looking for a place to study and smell & taste coffee all day long, you know that you have to go through listings and really discover the place for your preferences. and it is not that easy! some venues have the perfect coffee, but happen to be cluttered in their decor, some are just to crowded for inspiration, and some are just plain boring to hang around all day. timberyard might be just on that thin line- most of the people either come for a takeaway or to study/work- so there is a kind of a social contract around the atmosphere. it does not have vast spaces for each visitor, but you can feel comfortable. located in the center of the central, might also work for before/after meetings and office hours. Do not expect very tasty offers or specialities, but you can also have some decent food at lunch time or satisfy your sweet tooth here.  they also provide a custom media room, where you can plan meetings ahead and book with your requirements - so that a client presentation or pitch might just be proper and fun outside the office without any hassle.

Amazingly busy buzzy coffee shop.  We struggled to get a seat on this Sunday afternoon but even so it was a great atmosphere and we didn't feel rushed to finish our coffee and leave.  That said our coffee was not the best - a bit on the sour side.... but the raspberry chocolate brownie was to die for - delicious! with so many other tasty cakes to choose from I will be back but perhaps I'll sample the tea next time?

Despite being right in the middle of the hubbub of central London, this little independent café is a great hideaway from the mad rush. A relaxed vibe, light space and quality ingredients, this is a find indeed. The place is light with huge windows and minimalist décor; there's a range of seating, from massive sofas for those that like to lounge, window seats for those that like to look out, and even meeting rooms downstairs for those on tight deadlines. I opted to enjoy the great outdoors and shared a bench with some fellow coffee-hunters.The coffee is velvety and delicious, and as well as the usual capps and latts, they have some interesting tea flavours, iced coffee and their speciality as advertised outside: salted caramel affogato. They have an impressive display of cakes: dangerously tempting donuts, gluten free goodies and crumbly cookies, as well as some soups/sarnies for those sans sweet tooth.I strongly recommend this place; it's a great escape with a chilled vibe and independent produce. Prices are slightly higher than the norm but for the quality and ambience, it's worth spending a few more pennies.

Cozy cafe perfect for working on pc or doing some reading. Don't be surprised of the number of mac users :) There are space also downstairs with more comfy chairs. What I didn't like is that they don't have a menu board so you have to ask for what they can make. And you have no idea about the prices... I ordered a cappuccino (£3.20) and my friend filtered coffee (£3.10). To be honest, way too pricey for the quality. Both of us didn't like the coffee. The taste was too sour (Australian type) for us... But again, very cute place!
