Old favourite of mine off Carnaby Street which serves great tapas in this corner bar with outside seating. It can be very busy, but when you get your spot, you have some tasty dishes to choose from, all good value for money. Jamon hang over the bar and ordering a platter of different Spanish cheeses and meats are definitely the way to go. I had pimento padron, pork belly with cannelloni beans and a rich cheese covered in honey which I do not recall the name of. Could have missed the cheese as it was all quote filling for small portions. It was great to return and be reminded of how good Spanish tapas can be. This place has stood the test of time, I hope it still there when I next return to the area.

Once again, the Salt Yard Group (the company behind Opera Tavern, Salt Yard and Ember Yard) has brought great pleasure to my taste buds with my recent visit to Dehesa, their fourth sister restaurant. I had high expectations coming to Dehesa because having had very positive experiences at the other sister restaurants, I had no reason to doubt that the dishes I tried here would be any less amazing. Luckily, my optimism was rewarded with a remarkable dining experience.

Tapas like I'd never had before in London! From the courgette flowers to the pork belly (which I usually don't like!) everything was delightful in a very familiar and comforting way. I could honestly sit in this restaurant for hours with friends, a glass of wine and this amazing food...
What do you associate with port? Perhaps Christmas? Or as an accompaniment with cheese and biscuits at the end of a meal? Admittedly, I hadn’t really tried it beyond these parameters, so when I was invited to a port and food pairing evening with Graham’s, I couldn’t wait to learn more. W & J Graham’s was founded in Porto in 1820 and was one of the first port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley. Today, five Symington cousins share responsibility for every aspect of the company and personally make the Graham’s wines.
I'm a fan of the Salt Yard Group and their umbrella of restaurants because all their ventures are reliable for good food. . Although my favourite is Ember Yard, Dehesa holds a soft spot for me as it has been a go-to for me and my friends post-shopping along Carnaby/Regent/Oxford Street. Truth be told, I rarely shop myself but girl friends like taking me shopping with them because I am rather more patient than their boyfriends. Just give me a smartphone and a chair to sit on and I'll indulge you. I won't be shy to say "That makes your ass look ginormous!" or "Your boobs look perky in those."

You can't go to a Salt Yard Group restaurant without ordering their signature courgette flower stuffed with goat cheese (£4.5) Drizzled with honey, it's the best of its kind in town (and I can't tell you how many stuffed courgette flowers I've eaten to find the one). Non-greasy, firm, and bursting with delicious tartness, it's great.
I really like the chargrilled Cornish hake with poached artichokes and Vin Santo & broad bean salsa (£8). The fish is cooked nicely and everything else had a great balance of flavour. I could have three servings of it. It's a must order for fish lovers.
A steady winner comes in the form of a piece of confit old spot pork belly (£9). The meat is tender and juicy and that crackling is one to square forks for. The side of rosemary scented cannellini beans complements the meat fantastically. It's a dish that is so comforting and perfect for all seasons.
For the beef lovers, they've got a grilled Basque onglet (£9) served with sprouting broccoli, radish salad and a mushroom jus (£9). The dish is what all your protein-laden dreams are made of. The onglet is served rare to medium rare and the jus lets the beef flavour shine.
We tried the Cornish crab & coriander brik with fennel, watercress, chilli and radish (£8.5). I like the fact that it had a heap load of actual crab meat, but there was some sort of Mediterranean spice that did not sit too well on my palate. It wasn't my favourite as it tasted rather salty.
For pudding, try the chocolate, almond & olive oil cake (£6.5) served with chilli peaches. The cake is surprisingly moist, light and not too rich. I'm not sure what the chilli peaches were there for (perhaps to add a bit of acidity?) but they weren't too hot and I wasn't too keen.
Rounding off a pretty satisfying meal, my favourite affogato with Moscatel raisin and Pedro Ximénez ice cream (£4.5). One of the best light desserts I've had in town, I always opt for this in Dehesa.
Overall, Dehesa is another reliable great restaurant from the Salt Yard Group and if you're around the area looking for a decent place to refuel after a day of shopping, avoid all tourist traps and head down there - you won't regret it (but go with a warning: you might just love the food so much and won't be able to fit in those new pair of jeans...)

Carnaby street is a huge shopping destination so I often forget about all the lovely little bars and restaurants in the area. Dehesa is one of those places, a lovely little tapas bar at the corner of Ganton Street, great for a glass of wine after shopping or work.
You can also select a few tapas dishes to share between your group or if you are quite hungry you can pick the set menu and sample lots of different flavours. I particularly enjoyed the chorizo, the trout and the aubergine as well as the deserts that were all great!
If you would like to book the place for a professional occasion you should consider the downstairs dining room that fits about 15 people. We booked it for a company dinner and were all very satisfied with it. The staff were all very attentive and were always trying to make sure everything was ok, while topping up our water and wine.
In general everyone had a lovely time, enjoyed the food and drinks and we were also able to have a great discussion without the music being overpowering. I would definitely recommend the place and will have it in mind for future events in the area.
Love it. High quality spanish tapas in a great location in Soho. Highlight for me was the courgette flowers with honey and the chorizo.
For those who like tapas - a nice place, nothing more. We ordered what you see in the pictures, delicious, there's no arguing. Service is fine - employees with a smile, there was some delay in serving food.
Nice pub to have a quick lunch! Service was great. 4 stars because the ribeye was cold.
Lovely place, we stayed on the terrace, the food was tasty, beautifully presented, service was fast and friendly with just enough humor to be right! Prices seem deceptively small, given the place is a tapas bar, but all in all a very enjoyable place!
Most of the food was great. We had a plate of mussels that were not so good... Just really bland .. and they took them away so we could order something else. There was a mistake on the bill but when we pointed it out, the waiter put everything right no problems and he was helpful and polite. Nice atmosphere .
It’s actually kind of embarrassing how many items on the menu we tried for just three people, but everything was so delicious we just kept ordering! We popped into this little cozy corner spot on a rainy evening on our first night in London and it was the perfect spot to start off our trip after a long “day” of travel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful!
A fun place on a nice day. We wondered what happens when it rains as there aren’t that many tables inside.
Came here to grab some food and drinks with my wife. Our server, Krishna, went out of her way to make us feel extra taken care of. She also recommended us some items from the menu. I especially enjoyed the cocktails.
Great joint with lovely attentive staff!
I came here as part of a group for a work bonding lunch and we had a delightful time eating here and getting to know each other.
Some of the food I think was lacking a little bit of seasoning, but we had a group that was large enough that we ordered almost every single item on the menu and I got to try a little bit of everything. I think you can skip the cheese selection and cheese place in general, and even though the plates are supposed to be tapas, each serving is quite small. So if you're hungry, I would definitely lean towards ordering more food.
I feel so bad that I cannot remember her name now, but we had a blonde waitress that I think had possibly a Norwegian or swedish accent? She was a great server and very attentive. She is very good about making sure that our table was clear after we finished a plate and a new plate was coming in. She was very polite and very helpful. I wish I remembered her name so that I could mention her directly.
We were wandering down Carnaby St looking for somewhere to eat when we spotted the street Dehesa is on..we could have eaten in any of several restaurants, but Dehesa caught our eye.
We had several Tapas plates and all were lovely. Three of us were dining. We arrived at about 5pm without booking and told we could have a table until 7.45 which was more than enough.
The Tempura Broccoli was incredible. Lovely and crunchy with a lovely honey dressing. I'd eat this for breakfast it's that good!
The Croquetas with Ham and Cheese were lovely. Just what you'd expect. A nice piquancy to the cheese and crunch of ham.
The Patatas Bravas had a lovely spiciness, and were nice and big cubes that were decent and crisp. The Aioli was very good.
The Chorizo and Black Bean Stew was very good, nice level of spicing.
The Rob Eye Steak was cooked perfectly and so tender.
The Pan fried Bream with broccoli was fantastic. Lovely crispy skin, beautiful fish.
For Dessert we had Churros, Crema Catalana and the Donuts with Lemon Ricotta Cream.
The Churros were great, though a slightly thicker sauce would be preferred. Nit picking!
The Crema Catalana was lovely and creamy, as expected.
The Donuts were spectacular. Crisp, doughy, warm, sugary and indulgent. The Lemon Ricotta Cream, wow, that was incredible and a real highlight. One of the best desserts I've had in years.
Nice wine list, lots of fresh cold water offered.
Our server was very attentive, service was in hurried which allowed us to enjoy our meal and conversation without feeling interrupted.
I see this place has some poor reviews. I'm hard to please, and tend not to review a place if I don't like it. This place was surprisingly good given it's location in a tourist hot spot. Hard to fault.
Charming with a good vibe and service. Had 4 tapas and the sangria was good. The broccoli tempura with a honey dressing was good although slightly oily but the dressing was the perfect compliment. Patatas Bravas - spot on. Chicken and ham croquettes were great too... Will be back. Thanks guys ....
