Nice restaurant in Kensington high Street serving some British classics (e.g., fish and chips) as well as a wody variety of international dishes. I had fish and chips and a British cheese board, which I enjoyed. Good service and nice atmosphere. However, I find prices to be 10-20% more expensive than what they should be, in my opinion, for the quality and quantity of the food that you actually get. Nevertheless, it is surely a nice place for important occasions. Expect to spend at least £40 per person.

The Ivy has a great team. Me and my friend are regularly greeted by the kindest and warmest staff and always prepare the most aesthetic and amazing food. A big shout out to one of the members called Kristy! Amazing staff who helped us and gave us everything we needed!

We went here for an Uncle's birthday celebration and we all enjoyed the evening. The staff are helpful and prompt, the service is fast and the food is well-portioned and fairly priced.

Beautiful food, served quickly and made fresh. It was very expensive.. (£4.50 for a can of coke?) so maybe more suitable to a special occasion

Food was very tasty, but service wasn’t good enough, we got everything on time, but no one took empty glass, also it was hard to ask for something, because no one of the staff even looked at us…

Lovely atmosphere & decor with good service from very friendly and efficient staff. It’s a wonderful place to hang out on Saturday afternoons but book ahead as it’s very popular. The menu is varied and the food is mostly of good quality but I’m really disappointed the sides of chunky chips are really low quality, bought in, processed, frozen chips… come on Ivy restaurants, this isn’t acceptable for a “ high end dining” establishment and is nothing short of plain lazy… get some potatoes, peal, cut, blanch and fry to order.

As a Muslim looking for halal options for a good English breakfast can be tricky but the food and preparation practices here were veg friendly and speaking to the staff about food prep segregation put me at ease. The vegetarian options were great and tasty, lovely tea, fabulous service. Pancakes were rubbish though, looked good but tasted dry

The Indoors Garden is well located and the Ambiance is nice overall. I’ve only ordered Jasmine Tea so not in a place to judge their food. Take a look at the pictures and the Video I shot. It was quite and empty when I first came in, got busier a bit later…

I always feel some type of way when rushed off a reservation… common occurrence with the Ivy chain sadly. I enjoyed the Malaysian monkfish dish which did not disappoint. Stunning in both appearance and taste. Service was bellow par sadly; a friend ordered pancakes and was served waffles & eggs, she told the waiter, and he insisted and protested that’s what she asked for and that he even had the bacon removed, she felt awkward and felt obliged to accept (even though we heard her ask for pancakes) and we called him back and asked him to rectify the error. Which we felt he did begrudgingly.

We had a lovely family dinner here, service was excellent, as was the food. However, they charged 13.5% service charge, others are charging 12.5. Really, it's expensive enough to eat out in London, but this additional cost is ridiculous.

Three of us visited this resturant in the central london. It was Saturday and the place was completely packed as one can expect. The menu was limited as there were hardly any options for vegetarians and those that prefer chicken. In fact there was only one option each. Two of us then went with Malaysian chicken curry and I myself went with Chicken Milanese. While the former was full of cream and taste, the latter was mediocre. While I would love to visit ivy again I wouldn't recommend it for those interested in vegetarian and chicken options. I would at least recommend them checking the menu beforehand. The service was extraordinary as always with Ivy, but it came with a hefty 14 percent optional service charge. The decor and atmosphere was extraordinary.

Saturday lunch, perfect even when busy. We booked a table, bank holiday so expecting it to be heaving and possibly a bit slow but we were so well looked after it was a fantastic meal/experience. The Ivy delivers on quality food and service, the staff are super friendly and our food was cooked to perfection and arrived quickly. Our drinks came a little late, and we didn't even complain but they were taken off the bill! Service is exemplary.

Our server Kristy was absolutely delightful. She was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating to my gluten intolerance. I would give her 10 more stars if I could. We had the Sheppard's pie, with the little gem salad, both were great. The olives from the "for the table" section were devine. Honestly the best olives I've had in the UK hands down. But also only comes with 5 olives....which is basically a quid per olive. For dessert I had their panna cotta which was alright. The decoration is very cute but the restaurant is very very noisy.

I remember dining here a couple of months back when I was just new in the city. I truly enjoyed the ambiance and the interior of the restaurant. The service was phenomenal, staff were very attentive to our every need. Ofcourse, we just had to have the Fish and chips which was really good. I was feeling a little under the weather then so I did have some english breakfast tea and tomato soup which really sufficed my need for hot meals. Also ordered the philly cheesesteak, the meat was good but the bread was just a little to dry for me.

When you think of iconic establishments in London, The Ivy is second to none; period. Nestled in a quiet corner of Covent Garden, it has been serving and delighting London's Westend since 1916. That's right, 1916! To put that in perspective, since calling service on its first plate, the UK has seen 4 monarchs, 23 prime ministers and the top movie was "20,000 leagues under the sea". It certainly is the case where every dish is served with a side of history and stepping into its storied dining room is like a step back in time. The decor is just simply stunning; modernised yet still retaining all that classical decor accumulated over the decades; and the menu has also followed suit.

Following in the footsteps of so many before us, we attended The Ivy on this night for a late supper after the conclusion of a show settling in for a meal starting with Popcorn Shrimp then moving onto mains of spaghetti with Atlantic prawns, chilli and wild garlic and the chargrilled tuna.

As you would expect, the food was divine and lived up to its reputation. The popcorn shrimp was so addictive, I could've just keep eating that the whole night though it would've been a shame to spoil my appetite before the tuna which was excellent. The spaghetti, as plain as it may sound, was romantic in its simplicity and so fragrant; I would happily eat it again.

Rounding out the meal was a classic dessert of apple tarte tartin; a befitting ending to what was a classic evening.

If you've been to The Ivy, I hope you'll agree with me that this place is a must go. It's an institution now and so much more than a meal; it's an experience.

Came for for brunch with friends. The restaurant is visually appealing; it is one of those posh yet friendly outlets in central London.

The presentation of the food is extremely nice, and its taste is as good. I do recommend The Ivy for a cold winter day!

Have always heard good things about The Ivy so decided to pop in for a early dinner while we were in the area. We had no booking but we sat immediately. The service was attentive but not over the top. The salmon was spit on perfect, the sourdough ended up being a whole loaf which was devoured, and the apple tart was flambéd at the table. Highly recommend

A nice restaurant in general! It has been recently refurbished and reopened its restaurant again!
Lovely appetizers, we had the duck salad and few other selections!
Tasty... For the main dishes, we shared a fish a chips, burger and chicken Milanese plates! Spot on...
Service was a bit slow I would say!
From the fairy-light covered foliage out front to the waistcoat clad waiters, everything about The Ivy Kensington Brasserie is, in a word, lovely. Sitting almost directly opposite High Street Kensington Station, it’s also nice and easy to get to (unless one of the friends you’re meeting accidentally ends up at South Ken of course…) I went for Sunday brunch with a couple of friends – it’s worth mentioning that we booked in advance, something I would definitely advise.

96 Kensington High Street, London W8 4 SG Tel.: 020 3301 0500 . My oh my, hasn’t this year started with a bang, crash and wallop! First we hear that the inimitable Starman, David Bowie, has left the planet. That was certainly a shock to the system. He was never an idol of mine back in the day; his androgyny and peculiar looks were never really my cup of tea but over the years I’ve come to appreciate his music and his sheer style. And with his last album, Black Star, he certainly orchestrated his departure in a thoroughly impactful way. A creative force par excellence, he became the icon of several generations, as fresh and creative in later life as he was as a young man. His huge talent and his colourful, ever changing personae will be missed by many, including myself.

Lovely new addition to Kensington. The Ivy folk has given us something attainable in a brasserie that actually has tables if you get there in time and a very affordable gorgeous menu.

Great service, lush food and a great vibe. Can't wait until the garden opens in Summer. Definitely worth the trek to that sound of time if you are not a local.
