Very classy French style decoration. Nice atmosphere with reasonable lunch set price. Small space and staffs were always busy...sails is strongly recommended.

Amazing environment and great food! Good if you want to experience a traditional French environment.  Great location and staff are also French. Recommend the duck breast.

This French gem is tucked in a beautiful spot in South Kensington and is as cosy as a restaurant can be, making it an ideal place for a winter dinner or an intimate date. You will be bonjour'd the moment you open the door and will receive the upside of French hospitality; French jovial servers here and none of the rude Parisian waiter attitude. I decided to order a very French dish; rabbit saddle cooked in a dijon mustard sauce. It was delicious. Appetisers were very good as well. All in all it was a very good experience in a very cosy atmosphere; yet the food will not blow your mind away. Follow me on instagram @londonarab_foodie

My colleague Jacques has a European heritage that traces back to the South of France.  Despite the typical stereotypes of the French being impatient, poor in service and fussy with food, he was nothing like that.  In fact, he was very un-French by being every bit hospitable while I was staying with him, and ever so patient when we were colleagues at work.  Which make me wonder about his taste for food and I was about to find out. One the last night, he recommended a little French place called La Poule au Pot for dinner.

Date Night. A first date, a double date, a date with a good friend doesn't matter.... this is a wonderfully romantic place full of rustic charm and good cooking. The house wine is served family style which means the magnum bottle is marked where you leave off so be careful if you are driving, but, it is certainly good enough to quaff all evening long. Get a table overlooking the square and when you go, you must have the tart tatin, it is simply THE BEST!

Go for a romantic dinner by candlelight and if you can ignore the slightly kitsch decorations, you will be transported to a rustic french enclave. Wine list and food are fine, but especially for dinner, the candle-lit ambience is the real star.

Magical, unique dining experience. An oasis of old- fashioned, French eccentricity and charm. Snails, foie gras, the famous 'la poule au pot', rabbit cooked in mustard, cassoulet. Hearty, home-cooked French cuisine. Great for both dates and family occasions. Wouldn't recommend it for a group of friends.

I reserved this venue to go over customer feedback, and I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity to celebrate my husband's birthday with a dinner here. The ambiance was wonderful, and every dish was not only delicious but also generously portioned. The entire staff was incredibly kind as well. There was just one aspect that gave us a slight pause - the wobbly table. It became especially noticeable when we needed to use a knife for the steak; we had to be cautious not to disturb the candles. The lighting was a tad dim, but it created a very pleasant atmosphere overall.

Excellent service, great sense of humour and good food! We enjoyed our dishes from the escargots to the calf's liver to the cassoulet and the lamb that was to die for. Delightful cuisine served with humour. Oh, the desserts are worth it!. We had the crème brûlée and the Tarte aux pommes with ice cream....😋😋😋Thank you team Le Poule Au Pot

Nice French restaurant. Had a lunch here and all four of the table went for the set menu, which at £36.50 isn't the cheapest but still pretty good value, the only comment is that the menu doesn't describe the food very well, example is the chicken breast doesn't give any other description other than it's a chicken breast, however it comes with a strong tarragon sauce which wouldn't be to everyone's liking. Wine selection was good and not overpriced like some restaurants can be, and the majority of the food was delicious. The only negatives were that 2 of the 4 starters came first, then a five minute wait for the next (onion soup which surely should have been ready!) then the final starter several minutes later, meaning the people who got their starters first either ate the food whilst the other waited or wait and let the food sit there, despite this all of them were very good. 3 of the mains were great however the calves liver was overcooked and dry, tasting only of the char-grill and not the liver, having no sauce made it almost inedible and we had to take some sauce from one of the other dishes to be able to eat it, definitely one to miss on the menu. Overall the service was good, typically French but friendly enough, the tables are quite packed together making it difficult to exit the table once the restaurant is busy. Would come back again despite the small issues as the most of the food was very good.

Place is super lovely, I love both indoor with very pretty decoration and outdoor seat. Escargots for me is lower than my expectation, they are small and smell butter and garlic only, nothing special. I like onion soup, original taste. Staff is friendly. It looks comfortable but actually very inconvenient when dine in.

The place is so cosy in the evening and the effortlessly vintage-chic atmosphere charmingly transports you to rural France. We came here for dinner, tried the chicken liver pate and roasted quail and they both were absolutely delicious. The staff were kind and very attentive and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend during the day for a beautiful lunch and in the evening for a cosy romantic dinner.

Cute little French restaurant very close to Victoria station. They have a nice outside area. The food was delicious and they have a good selection of dishes. Cocktails were not bad as well. The staff can be more helpful when you ask them for recommendations :) coffee was quite watery. However, I’d go back to sit indoors as it looked very cosy too.

Wonderful. One of Pimlico's little jewels. The Coq au Vin in particular is exceptional, as are any tarte or quiche you care to start with. The service is also exemplary; they go well above and beyond what you'd expect even at such a fine restaurant!

Fantastic, very French. Silver service. Delicious dishes. Knowledgeable waiters providing excellent service. Think Paris in the 1930's: decor, service and menu. Wine list is extremely extensive.

This place is very cosy inside with traditional french feeling and there is lot of seating outside as well. Service is excellent with personal touch and food is also great. If you really want to experience the French dinning then choose this place and you will not regret. Average bill could be between £120 to £160.

La Poule Au Pot offers a slice of France right in the heart of Belgravia. Charming interiors, a delightful terrace, delicious cuisine, and a warm and welcoming staff make it a must-visit. Have been many times and it never disappoints!

The food was exceptional, the wine delicious and the atmosphere cosy. It doesn’t look like much but the steak and chips were some of the best of my life. We also got a side of vegetables that was great and finished with the creme brûlée. Prefect lunch and the set menu is a very good deal for the quality

Whenever I’m in London I always try and to to La Poule au Pot, food is great, wine is lovely but best of all is Augusto…he makes you feel so welcome. His happy demeanour is the real best thing about this restaurant.

The most delicious French restaurant in London. From the food to the service, the restaurant is exquisite. We had cassoulet and boeuf bourguignon, and both were outstanding. The team lead by Augusto was amazing! A must go!

Returned to this lovely neighbourhood restaurant last night and we were seated outside in the evening sunshine. Was like being in holiday! Great menu with range of choices and good wine selection, enjoyed everything that we chose. Highly recommended!
