We visited the restaurant for Afternoon tea. Simply put it, it was brilliant. Among the best pastries we have ever tasted. Tea was amazing. Ambiance top class. An afternoon well spent.
We stayed in this hotel for five days. Honestly I really disappointed about the rooms. But I can give five stars to the breakfast and tea room! Too much variety and everyrhing was very tasty. And I won't forget courteous staff.
Came here on a Friday afternoon for afternoon tea. Was really looking forward to it because of the chocolate theme!
I loved the selection of teas, the sandwiches were not bad, the egg and cress left a weird aftertaste.
The three tier selection of chocolate goodies were wonderful!
Loved the scones, esp the chocolate scones. Chocolate spread/jam was a good touch.
Have to say, I loved the raspberries aha.
The chocolate cupcake was delicious - so soft and moist. Wonderful.
My pocket hurt a bit though.
Visited this restaurant on Thursday night – it was relatively busy. The
premises are lovely and the staff were absolutely fantastic. I was very
impressed by the service (something generally lacking in London restaurants!).
Our waitress was a lovely lady called Lidia who was an absolute delight –
attentive but not intrusive! The cook is sensational – very innovative and
inspiring.. The dinner was excellent with some lovely touches by the Chef – the
Lemon dessert is a must. He has created various items on the plate with
different textures and they are all lemony and fresh. The view of Park Lane
from the restaurant was lovely. Very enjoyable and relaxing evening.
We attended the Chocoholic Afternoon Tea mainly for our 10 year old daughter while in vacation. The Groupon made it a good deal. We enjoyed the tea and sandwiches, but none of us could eat many of the sweets. Everything was so rich and decadent. The service was good. Overall, not very memorable.
The three tier cake stand used looks great and I was impressed by the chocolate selection, even the gold sprinkled base was made out of chocolate. There is so much here, making the pretty take away handbags a must.
Came here for the Halloween afternoon tea for a birthday treat. Service was great and friendly. Sandwiches were good with flavourful fillings. The sweets were really cute and tasty. Some were too sweet, but generally very good. The scones were delicious. Loved the caramel spread! Portions were generous, we couldn’t finish all of it. Well worth the price we paid.
We visited december 1st, the first day they served the festive afternoon tea. It was a lovely experience! The savoury sandwiches were very nice, although the tuna was a bit too much on the filling. We were offered a second round but did not take this because we already thought the sweet round of the afternoon tea would be a large amount.
This was the highlight! All of the small cakes were very tasty and pretty made. The combinations of flavours were spot on. The scones were very good as well. Loved the salted caramel besides the strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Our server, Roger, was spot on. Very friendly and good advice of the tea. He offered us to have some scones for take away since we did not finished them.
We would definitely recommend this place and specific the festive afternoon tea.
Visited here on Xmas eve 2022 and had the festive afternoon tea.. the service by all waiting staff was absolute perfection! Front of house however could be a bit more engaging.
Our waitress Rajni & her colleagues really made us feel special and took care of us, nothing was too much and they interacted with our children which made the experience even better!
The sandwiches are great as far as non veg options are concerned, and my wife also enjoyed the veg options. The kids didn't like their sandwiches much but that is because they are not so adventurous with new fillings.
Desserts are amazing! Scones out of this world! We also sent instructions re dietary requirements before hand and all our needs were met. The lady that liaised with us by email was fantastic.
Don't hesitate, definitely worth a visit!
The best afternoon tea I have tried so far!! I loved it, it was totally perfect. The flavours were increíble; the amount and variety of everything was perfect and the price was great. It really surprised me because a lot of other places have higher prices por afternoon teas not even half good as this one. Super recommended
Fantastic afternoon tea.
Having taken a trip up to London it seemed only right to take afternoon tea somewhere different. The Hilton offered a Teddy bears picnic themed menu that looked brilliant on paper.
On arrival the very attentive and engaging staff showed us to our table where me my two children found a lovely large Teddy bear each. The bears, promptly named Mr Bear and Harry were joined by the large assortment of freshly made sandwiches (the salmon was very good) followed by some of the best cakes I have had this side of Paris. The attention to detail was fantastic, with chocolate filled mushrooms and chocolate tea cups filled with strawberry mouse were especially good. We couldn't finish it all despite it being so good. The staff kindly offered to box the surviving cakes up and will be enjoyed with a cup of coffee on return home.
Afternoon with Family for my Sister's 60th Birthday🪷🪷🪷. Absolutely fabulous. Staff were brilliant, sandwiches, pastries, scones and cheesecakes delicious 😋. Raj was attentive, informative and just brilliant with our GranSon. Both our GranSon and Grandaughter were given teddies and loved it too. Thank you Hilton Podium Staff for making our day so memorable. God Bless you all. 🙏🏽
My mother bought myself a two person wowcha voucher for Xmas 18, managed to book a table weekend before Xmas and wasn't disappointed at all. Service was great and would always top up your wine, food amazing and quality all round. Would happy attend this restaurant again and would certainly recommend to others. The hilton has a sense of class others cannot match.
Lovely afternoon tea and as it was such a hot day the waitress also offered us juice instead of tea / coffee. Staff were attentive and the food was lovely. Scones were the best scones my mum and I have ever tasted.
I had my first afternoon tea experience as a birthday gift!
Was an amazing experience, delicious teas, extraordinary sandwiches and speechless pastries!
Very pleasant interior, focused on high level attention of details on everything, from music to service!
The best review that I can give would be summarized by saying, money well spent!
We traveled to London, so that we could celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday at the Podium and they were amazing, both in quality of service and their tea time sandwiches and goodies!
For anyone that is on the fence about whether or not they should give it a try, I will tell you that not only do a HIGHLY recommend it, but my family and I will be returning, in the not-too-distant future.
Easily the single best experience that I have had while living in England!!!
