This place serves good burgers and shakes in a nice setting. The only bad point was the staff which was always away. Otherwise the choice of sides is great and the milkshakes delicious!
Some kiwis started this company off in 2001 or thereabouts. We ordered our burgers here and waited for them then headed back to our apartment on Queen's Gate. Awesome service, and kai. Recommend to all. :)
A place with decent vegetarian burger. But the thing that really stands out here are the sweet potato fries and the shakes. Salted caramel has to be my favourite shake, it's just so rich and scrumptious that it's hardly to stop.
You just have to go to the counter order your burgers then have a seat relax and wait for a great fresh and juicy burger. You can also have some peanuts while you wait. Friendly staff at this branch and great atmosphere.

Just as tasty as it looks, GBK's burgers aren't for the faint hearted. I recommend sharing a fries as you'll struggle to even eat all the burger. Loads of covenient locations around London so there is always one available for your lunch or dinner. I wouldn't say the service was quick but it was definitely worth the wait.
I went to eat at Gourmet Burger Kitchen around two weeks ago with a few friends and whilst I had never eaten there before, I already expected a few similarities with Byron; both competing against each other in order to dominate London's Burger market. Although I am more of a Chicken person, I decided to choose a proper burger as the one a person (seated right across my table) was eating looked delicious. Whilst I really enjoyed the fries, I wasn't really satisfied with the burger; considering the fact that my friends enjoyed theirs, I believe it had to do something with personal taste rather than its actual quality.
I am not a big fan of burgers, but I have to say that I liked GBK. It is actually a restaurant than a fast food, thus the atmosphere is completely different and quieter.
This one in South Kensington is a bit small compared to others, but the location is really nice.
I had a Classic Burger but my boyfriend had the Avocado's and I would say, if you do not mind about calories and you do not get full immediately, try the Avocado as it is really delicious. I wanted to try also the skinny fries - I am a potatoes-addicted. They are really good. Delicate and perfectly fried. Suitable sides for a Classic Burger.
I did not order any drink, but I asked for tap water which was nicely served with a slice of lemon. Overall, I really liked the place. The service was also quick and nice, and as someone mentioned before, they do not mind if you stay seated after you finish you meal. Indeed, I was really tired, so before living the restaurant, we took our time and nobody complained.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen is pretty similar to Byron in many respects (see my review for Byron), but while Byron tends to put a lot of emphasis into having contemporary and creative decor/ atmosphere, GBK's advantage is that it's menu is a little more extensive. There are more milkshake flavours for example, though being a loyal sucker for oreo milkshakes I don't think that matters to me too much. There's also a wider variety of burgers - you can swap your average meat patty for buffalo for instance.
I've become somewhat of a cheese fiend recently, having sampled the cheeses in Amsterdam and eaten far too much of a cheeseboard at a Christmas house party. I therefore went for the blue cheese burger - not one for the mild-hearted as gorgonzola has a very sharp decisive taste. It was really tasty but maybe better avoided when suffering from a hangover...
I went to this branch of Gourmet Burger Kitchen a few nights ago, to catch up with a few friends over a nice meal. On entering we had to wait a bit for a spare table, we were offered the menu and then told to order at the counter and the meal would be delivered to our table.
I tried the Avocado Burger which was quite delicious. I ordered the chunky fries as a side item. Since I was meeting up with my friends after a long time we wanted to stay and chat even after we were done eating. They had vegetarian options as well which was perfect for my vegetarian friend.
The staff there were friendly and didn't mind us being seated for a long while even after we had finished our meal. It was overall a good experience at GBK. Service was good, food was good, could possibly be visiting this branch again sometime soon.
I like this place for the food and the location. Its less than 10 minutes walk from the famous museums, so you can avoid the hectic crowd while enjoying delicious food. Don't forget the milkshakes.
We have been here a couple of times and our experience has been pleasant both times. Food arrives quickly. The staff is friendly and good with kids, without bothering you too much with unnecessary questions. There is also some space to sit with an outside view.
The burger was so tasty, but it literally fell apart in my hand as it was so juicy lol. Oreo milkshake slapped so hard 😩 and the fries were tasty but had quite literally no seasoning on them considering they are supposed to have Cajun seasoning..! Table service was quick and friendly, and our food came out in like 3-4 minutes which was crazy fast. P. s. the burger doesn't come with fries, they are an additional expense.

I gotta give a huge shoutout to Shay at GBK Burger on Brompton Road! This dude was a total superstar when my wife, 2.5-year-old kiddo, and I popped in. We're no strangers to GBK – been chowing down here for 15 awesome years. But seriously, Shay takes the cake. He was all about making sure we had a blast, especially with our little one. I've never seen such top-notch service. Massive thanks to Shay and the GBK crew for keeping us coming back for more burger goodness! 🍔👏
Burger was surprisingly really decent, much better than I expected. Menu said medium rare was an option, waiter asked if we wanted medium rare, and it came with a flag in the burger announcing it was medium rare–and indeed, it was a nice pink throughout. Buns and flavors were also great.
Halloumi was good. Sweet potato fries weren't anything special, but were fine.

Delicious burger cooked to order. Medium rare was nice & pink. Plenty of flavor and juicy. Chunky fries were hot & fresh. Get the garlic mayo sauce! You'll thank me. And to make things even better-their Diet Coke and water are cold!! And came with a glass of ice! Attentive service. Overall, great place for a sit down meal.
Best burger I have ever had. Chips were awesome too. But table and chairs were very sticky(the server cleaned them but still sticky) and we waited 30mins but the order didn't go through. We were the only customers there so not busy at all. It took 40mins to get our food. However, the server was super kind and the food was absolutely gourmet so I will have to come back for sure.

First time at this chain. The restaurant is located in an upscale area. There is one outside table but was not an inviting place to sit as there was a lot of rubish around.
The resteraunt was quite dark with dark wood seating. When i arrived at around 6.00 p.m., I was the only customer, so there was not much atmosphere.
I ordered a double sized cheese burger with spicy fries. I ordered medium, and it was closer to rare.
I also ordered a non alcoholic lager and was given a regular lager. The staff noticed quickly and were apologetic.
Burger was nice, and the fries were really good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was a good meal at a reasonable price given the area.

Great experience. Food was really good - decent portion sizes and burger and chips both yummy. Catered for my wife’s gluten free requirements. Service was spot on - very friendly and helpful. Food arrived promptly. Will be back soon!
Lovely place, quite relaxed atmosphere, the staff was accommodating and friendly, the food was decent. My Korean fried chicken burger had too much sauce or dressing, it was liquid and very messy to eat, but tasty. Everything else was fine
It's not the first time we try these burgers. They are good value for money.
We tried the beef cheseburger, it was quite good. They don't go with any sides and you need to order them separately. We chose the sweet potatoes.
The restaurant itself is normal, but if uou want a reasonably good burger for a good price, this is the place.
