Old school fish, chips and mushy peas just perfect. The fish fried to order super crispy batter yummy 😋 The staff were lovely efficient and helpful. Lots of chefs behind the fryers ready and waiting for the customers who came flooding in. Top notch and a treat.
Waitress was friendly, approachable and lovely, which makes a huge difference in London. Food was delicious with a huge portion. And curry sauce was great! Definitely a go to for any time of the week.

My dad took me here, first to get a takeaway and then we sat in. The fish n chips were as I wanted them to be... hot crispy batter on the fish. The chips cooked and hot! The Restaurant is small but busy. It has a great reputation, it didn’t disappoint.
The menu offers a wide variety of fish, batter, to grilled along with other great dishes.
We shared some delicious prawns to share. Yum!! Great value for money.
We asked for the fish as illustrated and we got the most delicious grilled cod and tomato. Such a kind and accommodating owner. Much to be recommended.

I returned to this amazing fish and chip shop in my old stomping ground, Muswell Hill because I had to show my husband how great it was. We visited during our trip to Europe in August 2016 as a priority. I used to love walking up the road for a meal back in 2005/6 back when I lived here and really wanted to enjoy their food again.
It is certainly still as amazingly good as it always has been and definitely impressed us with our lunch feast.
Beautifully fresh fish, perfect chips and a great side salad.

Practically had a food coma from this place. I had a couple of fish and chips around this city but Man this place beats the lot by a mile! Will recommend this place to travellers and forst time visitors of London. A bit of a pain to go to but really worth it. Also try their mashed peas. You will not be disappointed.

There’s nothing particularly fancy about it, just the highly sought-after holy trinity of crunchy and grease-free batter, fresh and juicy fish, and crisp and fluffy chips. You can’t beat this one , dive in !
Best fish and chips shop in London! (I think) nice tender fish on the inside and crisp light fluffy outside. The chips are thick and traditional. The restaurants always packed with customers they're always busy! Although they've expanded the restaurant and have 2 floors now, it's still packed! I usually order take aways tastes as good as dining in. Same thing.
What's sucks is they don't serve ketchup with the order? You'd have to pay for ketchup and you could end up paying £5-7 just for ketchup to enjoy your portion of fries (I can't have fries without a sauce)
But overall I love it. They're quick and serve you within 5 min even though the place is packed- I love that!
This is by far one of the best restaurants in Muswell Hill and possibly London. If you like fish then this is your place! Also doubles as a chippie if you want a takeaway. Usually quite busy, but they open up a second floor so plenty of space! Good vibe, good staff and most important is the good fish!!

I visit Toff’s at least once a month. It’s the best fish and chips in London. I’m a big fan of their scampi and fried cod too! But ok this occasion I went for the grilled fish, it was delicious and so fresh!
It was my first fish and chips in my life! And I liked it. It’s very crispy and huge, so at first I loved it, but bit greasy at the end, so i left some.
My bf said it was BEST french fries in his life but in my opinion it was not my type.
At the time I ate I didn’t think fish and chips are not really my type, but after few days, it kept came in my mind 🤔 Maybe I would eat it again soon haha
I can’t say it’s a good fish and chips since it’s my first one, but definitely willing to go again
Amazing proper Englisch Restaurant. Fish is quality and is prepared Delicious and fresh in a classic way. Meat pies are delicious ! Staff is very welcoming and forthcoming, attentive and friendly. Overall an amazing restaurant to visit not only for their amazing fish & chips ! Wow

Best fish and chips I have ever had. Actually behind the FnC front there is a really small but Cosy easy area in wood-pub eatery style. And a great (very fresh) fish menu. So I got a grilled dover sole instead of a classic fry-up. It was brill. Our table also tried the king prawns. Chips come in two styles, classic soggy or crispy well done. They also cater for vegetarians and not just mushy peas which were great. A choice of salads available. The dessert menu has just 4 choices I think but who meds to look past the treacle pudding with lashings of custard?!! Staff on the ball and quick to catch the eye and serve. The food arrives piping hot and the plates were warmed. Lots of attention to detail which makes simple food super. No wonder they are famous !
I haven’t had a good meal at Toffs since… we came again on Monday! I love your food. my husband has his fish in batter and I have mine grilled. It is always so fresh and cooked so well. Even the desserts are heavenly. Well done, congratulations. You are the best fish and chip shop in North London, London, England, the world.
The family and I love stopping by Toff’s! The food is always fresh and delicious; my fish is crispy, the chips are exceptional, and the atmosphere is great! We highly recommend Toff’s! 👍

My favourite chippy in London so far. I've visited many times over the past few years. The haddock and chips is delicious. 5* for the food when you dine in. The fish isn't as good if you choose to takeaway. I'll definitely keep returning to dine in! The staff are lovely and the service is great. It has a great vibe too.
