Nambu-tei - London - Photo album

Delightful meal with the wife. The decor looks like it's stuck in 1980s Japan, but we didn't go there for the atmosphere. We went there for the excellent Japanese cooking. Superb. We always enjoy ourselves when we go there. The quality of the fish and the derive was impeccable.
Went here for lunch with colleagues and were glad we arrived in time before the lunch crowd. The option size was reasonable. The dining area is cozy and expect the place to be noisy during rush hour. Had the broiled eel set lunch. The rice was a tad drier than expected. Staff were friendly. If you c
A very authentic Japanese restaurant hidden on Baker Street. Staff were attentive, service was quick, food was delicious. Expect to pay around £60 per person for dinner.
We had a lovely date night at Nambu-Tei for our anniversary. They had good services with lovely staff members. I especially enjoyed the tempura and sashimi platter. I also love the miso soup on the side which was served with the eel rice bowl. However, I probably expected the sushi rice should be mo
Came here twice in a week! It showed how good this restaurant is. The chefs and restaurant staffs are all Japanese 😀 loving the atmosphere the restaurant has offered. They do really good lunch Bento box within £15-£20 budget. Went for the high range one for the variety it has offered. Delicious!
Authentic and good-value Japanese casual affaire! Spacious seating and unpretentious 1990s décor - love it! Fully Japanese waiting staff who are professional, patient and extremely polite. A well chosen Sāke and Soju selection and cooked Japanese homely dishes. An equivalent to a high-end Izakaya 居酒
Good quality japanese food, but a bit pricey. The bento sets are about £17. Many to choose from. Lunch sets are also available from £11. Ive been here a few times. can be very busy lunch time.
BBQ eel had a very tender texture and was full of flavour. Would have preferred teriyaki sauce rather than soy sauce on the rice underneath though. Interesting decor and friendly staff. It was very nice being offered a tea when waiting for takeaway.
They serve authentic Japanese food. Love all the dishes and especially I like how they cut the sashimi. It was so thick! Highly recommend and definitely I’ll visit here again for Japanese food.
I would recommend this place for lunch. Their lunch specials are good values with the portion and quality of the food. Fast and affordable. Service has always been an area for improvement (friendly staff but not familiar with the dishes necessarily). Still, a good place for lunch and with student di
Shabu shabu is great, decent price too. Nam I tei has everything you need in a Japanese restaurant. Been visiting here regularly for five years now, highly recommended.
Very cozy Japanese restaurant. I used to live in Japan for 25 years and recommend this restaurant! It’s not so expensive. Rush hour is 1pm.
Nice food and nice environment. Tamogoyaki and jellyfish in seaseme sauce is nice. The salmon and roe rich and chiruzazen is delicious (except that the rice portion is alot). Strongly recommended.
The place and food has the look of an authentic Japanese restaurant, but thought the price for a lunch set was a bit too expensive
I’m Japanese. That’s real Japanese Izakaya(pub). No difference from Japan one. So a Japanese, who lives away from home for work in UK, has used here for dinner. My recommendation is extra sized Japanese curry.
The food? Amazing. The service? The sweetest. The ambiance? Minimal, which is great because you can focus on the food!! Definitely coming back here again.
The two of us got Anahi nabe, ox tongue, niku-jaga, salmon jaw, hiyashi sansai soba, and a fried pork cutlet rice. It was plenty of food and we probably could’ve ordered one or two fewer dishes and still be full. Everything was so authentic! The ox tongue is extremely delicious. The beef is dry in n
