The food was really good and served quickly but a bit overpriced. The highlights were the solomillo and ajo. The wines were really good, but once again, quite overpriced. Nice atmosohere and friendly staff so overall, this is a good tapas restaurant

Went to London to spend our Sunday and decided to stop by Borough Market for lunch. We chose Brindisa, but the stand in the market, not the restaurant. We had such a great time in there. We had 2 Tortilla Española sandwich and croquettes to share. Of course we order 2 pints of Estrella Galicia and the afternoon went very smoothly. We really want to thanks to Veronica and specially to Ricardo their service and their kindness. They were super !!! As good Galician, we wanted to finish our meal with Licor Café, and even it wasn’t in the menu we asked Ricardo if they had it. He started looking inside the fridges and … wooop !! 1 bottle … it was amazing having the experience there, engaging conversation with both of them and we finished all taking with a Brazilian couple sitting by us. That what those kind of stand are for, for enjoyment, meeting people and having good food !! Again, hats off to both Ricardo and Veronica We would be back !! Get ready that Licor Café 😅

Wonderful restaurant for Tapas serving by very friendly staffs! We had dinner here on a Monday night (4 adults + 1 child) after visiting the Borough market. It was a bit busy so we waited for 10min (not long). The tapas is great; my favourite are the grilled green bell pepper and the garlic shrimp! And the white sangria is just perfect. The staffs were very nice and super kid-friendly.

Came here after seeing it was nearby on Google maps, so glad it was. The service by our waiter, Anna, was amazing and Croquettes are the best I have had including having tried them in Valencia and Barcelona!! We also had the steak which was cooked to perfection, Patatas Bravas and Tomato Salad. Everything was hot and flavourful, can’t wait to come back. It’s a must try for authentic tapas in London, and on a sunny day - sitting outside you could be in a Spanish city!

My Party of 8 was accommodated outside on the sun terrace. Wonderful location right on the corner entrance of Borough market, great location to people watch. From start to finish the friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. Really Fantastic Tapas shared with much laughter and beer with old friends. Perfect start to my stag do. Highly recommend the gambas in oil with chilli/ garlic.

Consistently good food and excellent service. I first came to Brindisa more than 10 years ago. One of my fav tapas was their Olives stuffed with orange segments, but trying them again years later, the olives seems to be smaller in size and so were the croquetas iberico. Quality of food wise, still good. And service, attentive and personal. All in all a great place to catch up with friends and watch the world go by with good food and wine

I came here alone at 5pm, the staff arranged a table very quickly. Authentic Spanish food at a reasonable price and a wonderful aesthetic fit with borough market next door. Recommend to any who are looking to have some good food with a drink.

We were a table of 12 who arrived quite late, the restaurant did very well to seat us and make sure that we got everything we needed. They had very good communication, giving us clear instructions of when the kitchen was closing, the bar was closing, gave us plenty of time to get last orders in vs being rushed. The service was great, the hospitality was really good, the food was very tasty and all in all it was an enjoyable experience. A good place to visit after going up the Shard, sightseeing in London or in the area. Very professional, warm staff. Thank you

We arrived a little early for our table and were sent for a drink in the Club upstairs next door where there was very loud music (pianist plus singer) which was intrusive. We waited for 45 minutes without being shown a menu

This location is just on the edge of Borough market. The interior is cozy with table seating as well as high tops. Food: Peppers, ham croquettes, squid ink rice, and patatas bravas were decent. Shrimp was delicious. Steak was sinewy and hard to slice even with a sharp steak knife. Cost: £92 for three of us. Service: Friendly and efficient.

This is a great restaurant and I have visit several times. Some of the best tapas I have tried in London and never disappointed with the quality of the food. One of the highlights on the menu and a must try is the Tortilla Española. And a drink to recommend is cava sangria. The only thing that I’ve experienced on each visit is that it can be quite tricky to get attention from staff. Needing the bill or wanting to order some additional items often takes a bit of time. There might be a queue to get a table at certain times as it is a very popular place, but it is worth joining the queue to enjoy a lovely meal.

Truly delicious and worth it. All the food we had was amazing specially the beans with chorizo. Incredibly perfect. Love the perfectly cooked beans. Not to soggy. Slight crunchiness with the exact amount of sauce and flavour. The cheese was a bit let down cos they could have at least accompanied it with biscuits. Not sure if I want to nibble cheese on it’s own.

Probably one of the best places if you’re craving a chorizo roll. It was worth every bite and I would recommend it to anyone who drops by Borough Market.

I’m craving it just as I am typing this. I haven’t been to their restaurant with a seating area but the place does get quite packed since it’s in the very popular Borough Market.

You must not miss Brindisa Chorizo Roll!

DISGUSTED!I have just been to your London Bridge branch for lunch with a friend who suggested to go there because it was too cold to stay outside in Borough Market. I agreed to go to Brindisa because it seemed a simple/normal option for a quick lunch but now I really regret it.I had been to your restaurants before, maybe one year or so ago and I found it overpriced, hence I never returned until today. However, after our lunch today I never expected we would be so disappointed and that we would feel completely ROBBED. At the end of our very mediocre lunch today, both my friend and I were SHOCKED at the bill: £59 for one portion of bread (bread!) with tomato, 1 small portion of chicken, 1 tiny portion of pork, 1 small portion of jamon (£20!- unbelievable), tap water and 2 coffees. I am still very hungry and no dish was worth it.I work in finance and I am fortunate enough to make a very good earning but I still have the intelligence to value the things in life.I honestly think your restaurant is a DISGRACE, a complete RIP OFF and offers very MEDIOCRE quality. It is clear that you are taking advantage of your good location and the fact that tapas are fashionable in London at the moment. You will never see us again in any of your branches and I will make sure that all my friends and colleagues know about my views.

For Spanish food lovers, tapas brindisa is one of the best restaurants to go to. The Savory dishes are extremely delicious. I loved the grilled lamb as well. It's juicy and tender. The service is good and prices are fair.

Charcuteria is a must when it comes to Spanish food... I know the method used to preserve the ham seems pretty disgusting, but humans eat the most disgusting things anyway (Like preserved bean curd, stinky tofu, cheese). Back to the food - we had the ham selection - serrano and bellota served with bread and olive oil. It's best to have it with red wine but we just didn't felt like it. I have to say that it costs so much to have it in London really, £19.50 for selection of ham. Ok I have to give them credits for hand carving the bellota if I'm not wrong. For the same portion I could probably get it for less than £5 in Spain I am so not kidding you!

After a morning browsing Borough Market, my sister and I were looking for a quick lunch. Despite the temptations of the food stalls at the market, we were looking for someone where we could sit down. If we could taken this home, perhaps we wouldn’t have eaten at Tapas Brindisa!. Tapas Brindisa had a few branches across London and serves solid, traditional tapas. This branch is popular as it’s the first restaurant most visitors to Borough Market encounter as they walk down Southwark Street from London Bridge Tube.

If you have spent much time eating in Spain, then you will know that Tapas are smaller sharing plates of food and you order lots of dishes and share as a group. Lots of variety, lots of food- amazing. But as a vegetarian this poses a lot of problems because in a tapas place, the only veggie dish you can find is Patatas Bravas (roasted potato wedges usually with a tomato salsa), and sometimes a vegetarian tortilla which is a cake thick potato omelette. It isn’t particularly exciting to go for tapas as a vegetarian- unless you are going to Brindisa!

After a 15 minute wait, it really was worth it. The staff is super nice and courteous and taught me how to pronounce many of the dishes because some of them were in Spanish, this being a prime Spanish cuisine place. We didn't get anything to drink, but their wine collection looked really good and they seemed to have a lot of variety. We ordered the Patatas Bravas - a savory potato dish with tomato sauce - highly recommend it! The potatoes weren't too soggy and weren't too dry - they were the perfect texture - finely crisp on the outside. We also ordered their Lamb Cutlets (medium rare). I have to say it was pretty good - especially with the aioli sauce and the mint leaves. It brings about a perfect combination of the two that I didn't know could exist. Their portions are tinier but still worth the taste! Highly recommended!

Overpriced. Tiny portions (even for tapas). Not authentic Spanish food.

Im Spanish and always wary of Spanish restaurants in the UK. I was convinced to go to this one. Well, it is not a Spanish restaurant and food is very poor: tasteless, overpriced and tiny portions. As I said, even for tapas. They should be ashamed of calling themselves 'Spanish'.
We had Pimientos de padron, which were ok (you cant get these wrong).
Tortilla con chorizo. Disgusting. It was cold (which is fine when drunk in the early hours, but not in a restaurant) and with some sort of vegetables on it. Tortilla ingredientes are just eggs, potatos and salt (onion is optional). Tesco's tortillas are far better than the one at Brindisa.
Lamb cutlets. They were just fine. The issue in here is that you pay a tenner for just 2 pieces the size of your thumb.
Two glasses of wine and half a pint left us (still very hungry) with a bill of 50quid.
I see other people has written good reviews, but I wonder if they actually know what is and what is not real spanish food.
Avoid by all means. Find any other Spanish restaurant or go to Nandos/McDonalds (where you will yet get better value for money and will be as Spanish as Brindisa)
Value for money: 2
Will never go back. Will never recommend to anyone

Oh the sunny shores of Spain have brought many wonders to our countries, and food is certainly one of them. It begs the question, however, how much of the Spanish way of eating actually fits within the hustle and bustle of London. As many other Mediterranean cuisines, Spanish food, and tapas more precisely, are the sign of a more laid back life, of siestas and “social eating”. Does Tapas Brindisa then fit in London?

There are few things better in this world than pan con tomate. Few things more simple. Bread with tomato. No fancy cooking techniques, no long list stating the provenance of all the ingredients. Yet it’s a dish that so many restaurants get wrong. Often the bread is soggy having stood pre-prepped hours before service, or they aren’t brave enough with that rub of garlic, or there’s big chunks of tomato rather than the finer pulp spread across the bread. Recently a Spanish restaurant presented me with a full tomato, a slice of toast, an unpeeled garlic clover and olive oil. DIY pan con tomate. The lazy bastard of a chef must have been on his siesta. Needless to say the rest of the meal was just as disappointing. A good pan con tomate to start a meal off makes a big promise. It shows a confidence from the kitchen that they will let the ingredients do the talking, and at Brindisa they get it spot on. What followed was ingredients put together, rather than dishes- Spanish cooking at its best. Padron peppers with salt. Summer vegetables with chorizo and a duck egg. Prawns with crispy garlic and a fiery kick of chilli. Pork fillet served pink with sweet peppers and some chorizo oil.

I was visiting London last weekend and we had a food infused weekend planned. We ventured through Borough market and I died and went to heaven. A foodies must visit if you're ever in the area. The idea was to grab a couple of things from the food-stalls and hope to find a place where we could devour it. Of course, if you've been before then you're aware of how busy the market and surrounding streets get so we opted for a traditional lunch somewhere more comfortable.

We stumbled into a busy Brindis and waited at the bar where a super friendly bartender offered us some complimentary pardon peppers which were perfect! Once our table was ready, we ordered a few dishes to share and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and it was overall a good wee experience for a Scot in London.

Saturdays in London are when Borough market comes alive. Dozens of stalls open up selling a range of products. A fish stall sells not only a wide range of seafood, but also hot bowls of fish soup. Several stalls have long lineups of people waiting to buy burgers and wraps. Another area has smaller stalls set up selling cheeses and hams from Spain, Italy and France. There are people everywhere and they spill out into all of the cafes, restaurants and bars around the vicinity of the market, including Tapas Brindisa. Tapas Brindisa is a busy restaurant that sells a wide range of classic Spanish Tapas and wines. The food smells delicious and today the tables are packed full. We aren’t there to eat this time though. We went to try the hot chocolate and weren’t disappointed. We ordered one at the bar. Despite there being tables available we were told that we couldn’t sit because they were reserved for people ordering lunch. That wasn’t a problem except that there actually were tables of people only drinking. So that made the experience a little less enjoyable. But from the bar you can see the whole restaurant, the staff pouring glasses of Spanish wines behind the bar. You can even see straight into the kitchen and watch the chefs putting the finishing touches on the tapas dishes. The hot chocolate here is worth standing up at the bar for and waiting 10 minutes to be served. It is smooth and velvety, a thick but not at all sweet drink. The hot chocolate, like everything else sold here is imported from Spain. This is Enric Rovira hot chocolate from Barcelona. Verdict: This is the perfect hot chocolate for a cold and wet day (of which there are many in London). This hot chocolate, combined with the atmosphere here will instantly warm you up. Tapas Brindisa , 18-20 Southwark St, London, UK Share this: Facebook Twitter

The good- great food. The bad- high prices. The ugly- no management of their queuing system- customers often told to wait an hour plus. They don't realise what a complete turn off this is and should run a booking system in peak times.

Tapas Brindisa is one of the rare good ones, as is evident by the fact that it’s full all the time and doesn’t bother with that old fashioned reservations malarky. There are a handful of Brindisa’s dotted about. I visited the one at Borough Market because that is the original and best. And Borough Market is just wonderful. I was immediately sold on the place because we were served by a pirate, complete with eyepatch and flailing Spanish arms. We knew the food was going to be good because of the manner of its arrival. Said pirate rushed over, announced the name of a dish in his loudest announcing voice, spun around in a flourish and (I presume) swiftly hurried off for a spot of bull fighting.

Friend took me here as it's her favourite tapas place and reminds her of happy times in Spain.

This place doesn't take booking but they also seem to overestimate wait time… We got here around 6.15pm and was told the wait would be 50min. We took a walk around the block and came back in 20min and our name have been crossed out, so we waited for another 25min to get a table, after asking several time in case we were forgotten. There's also very little space at the bar area to wait/get a drink, and the only place for everyone to talk to the hostess to put names down was in the middle of restaurant where all the servers go in/out of the kitchen. No wonder a bunch of plates were smashed there that night, and I felt some bounced onto my feet and probably of those sitting close.

Finally we got seated by the window and we quickly placed order for 6 dishes. We got the Albondigas Caseras (pork & beef meatballs), Huevos Rotos (broken eggs over fried potatoes), Traditional black rice (squid ink rice with aioli), Padron Peppers, Gambas al ajillo (chilli garlic prawn), grilled lamb cutlets and a glass each of their Tinto de Verano - a really refreshing Spanish summer wine drink, similar to Sangria, made out of red wine, lemonade & Angostura bitters. Pretty much, all the food was amazing! Because we were sharing all the dishes, we could hardly fit them all on our table, luckily by the window we got the use of the window sill.
My favourite is the black rice, it is moist and worked really well mixed with the eggy/oily yellow aioli. The squid on top seemed a bit redundant in comparison and rubbery. The eggs were also really yummy with a dash of chilli sauce in the middle for the extra kick - they also serve this for breakfast which I can imagine would go down very well.

The Padron peppers (more like capsicums) was a really cool dish I have not seen before, pan fried green peppers with some salt really brought out the sweetness. The meatballs were tender and also goes well with the crunchy potato sticks. The prawns and lamb looked great and tasted pretty juicy.

Overall – a cool little joint I could come back again, but man I wish it wasn't such a farce at the start.

Brindisa have a London mini-chain of tapas restaurants and Spanish produce shops – their home base is at Borough market and they have restaurants in Shoreditch, South Kensington and Soho. They have recently opened up in Brixton, a few minutes’ walk from the tube station. The shop has a tiny kitchen and mainly serves “Llescas” – a Catalan invention of stale bread slices rubbed with tomato and garlic then topped with cured ham or vegetables. We started with a wonderful white asparagus, chive and soft cheese dish (£5.25) – the asparagus was earthy and fresh (we should really grow more white asparagus in the UK) nicely complemented by the mild soft cheese. We followed with some decent Salchichon (£3.95) and Chorizo (£5.25) which was of better quality than you can buy in the supermarket – the portions were generous and the dish was served with side salad. The menu is small and not very diverse, which lead us to order a Manchego Llesca (£5.45) even though I think that Manchego cheese is

I'm a bit of a planner. But sometimes all the planning fails me and so when I plan spontaneous fun, like heading out for Husband’s birthday all spur of the moment like, it is to head to places like Tapas Brindisa, which are are of the most use. Despite it being mid-week, the place is buzzing and I’m here a little early so like a nigel no mates, I sip on my cava at the bar pretending to be cool.

Another massive bugbear is a restaurant telling you that you only have a certain amount of time to eat before your derriere has even made contact with the chair, but I may try to contain my complaining & just tell you about the food

We order up a bunch of stuff – Jamon platter, Padron peppers, Gambas al ajillo, spinach and Lamb chops. I’d not had Padron peppers before and these were fantastic – spicy with a crunchy hit. I could go through a few bowls of this and still convince myself that I was eating my vegetables. The spinach on the other hand, lightly wilted with pine nuts was too oily and counteracted any benefit one may have gotten from eating spinach in the first place. Popeye would not approve.

The plate of ham was fantastic and way too easy to just tear into, the lamb chops were a little too rare for me, but a taste sensation nonetheless and the gambas as garlicky as their name suggests.

We finish through our meal pretty quickly and I’m sorely tempted to ask for a gold star in not only meeting their time target, but beating it, but I restrain and behave myself.

It’s good food and we have a great night, but this is a place I’ll go to when I’m not organised, rather than making a date to play the time for dinner roulette.

...when you are slightly peckish and fancy a glass of wine — Brindisa is a great option. Instead of boring you with details of each location, I will just write a sentence or two about what that particular location is great for (besides the food which for Spanish tapas is pretty decent). 1. South Kensington: I have only been here twice, on both occasions it was a walk-in situation for a few after work drinks. The bar area while small is great for meeting one or two of your friends as its always packed and lively. That said, out of the four locations this the one with the most Spanish patrons. 2. Soho: Say you are shopping on Regent Street or near Oxford Street and you

We recently experienced yet another great lunch at Brindisa Borough Market. For years the restaurant is been well known for it’s great cooking and service and the trend seems set to continue. The location at the edge of Borough market is idyllic and on the few rare occasions when the sun is shining bright there are few other places in London that can match the authentic Spanish tapas experience to be had at Brindisa.

Am a fan of Tapas Brindisa in Borough Market. It's always reliable. You can not book, so it is all about timing. We arrived at 7.00 p.m. to be told that it would be a twenty minute wait (what ever they say always wait - have a drink in the rather cramped bar area), we actually got our table in less that 5 minutes.

The menu is tasty and varied, and service is brisk.

The charcuterie is always a good option and they do a nice goats cheese in honey.

The seats are not very comfortable (I guess that is good business practice to ensure a quick turn over), the tables are so close together that you inevitably end up having conversations with the people at the next table, mainly about the food, it's just that sort of place.

Spectacular tapas but be early. This is another Borough market eatery that fills up very quickly. A fantastic place to have a glass of wine and wait for the kitchen to come online at 5.30pm especially if you're a visitor to London and can get in before the after-work rush. The pan-fried asparagus with duck egg, romesco sauce and serrano ham is to die for but it's all good. If you arrive any later than 6.30 be prepared for a wait.

Borough Market can be a royal pain in the arse, but that's not to say there aren't some good things about it. Chief among those is Brindisa , not only for its food shop but also for its tapas bar. I've previously enthused about the former's chorizo sandwich , but in this post I want to pay homage to the breakfast served at the latter. As much as I'm a fan of the full English, this Spanish alternative of ham, egg & fried potatoes is an equally great way of setting yourself up before braving the Borough Market crowds. And then there's the coffee. While half of London is genuflecting in front of the Antipodean flat white, I believe the Spanish café con leche , as served at Brindisa, is superior. It isn't cheap. The ham, egg & fried potatoes costs £11.90 , and you won't get much change out of £20 after ordering a coffee and an orange juice. But unlike some places I can think of, I don't mind spending that kind of money on what is a mighty fine breakfast. Tapas Brindisa , 18-20 Sou

Our experience was very positive. Decent portions for each plate. Had our first round when waiter said kitchen grill was shutting down at end of lunch. Ordered a portion of lamb and it was fantastic. Really enjoyed the tomato jam that went with some cheese.

One of the best things about Brindisa is that despite the enduring popularity of the restaurant, standards remain high. Possibly the people there are aware that the same pat on the back is only 6 inches from a kick in the arse and strive to maintain decent quality.

Brindisa is an institution, a long running establishment well known for placing brilliant Spanish food on the plates of those in the UK. Whether it's the ingredients sold from their delightfully stylish shop in Borough Market, dinner in one of their low lit tapas bars or their wholesale service which supplies a number of well-known bars and restaurants, their brand guarantees a stamp of quality and deliciousness. Brindisa source their foods from 80 of Spain's finest producers and their objective is simple: 'to provide unbeatable Spanish food'. And that they do. I walk past people eating the Charcuteria Selection (£12.50, photographed above) every day at the Tapas Brindisa in Borough. Normally I have to stop myself from nabbing a bit of delicate meat from the plates of those dining on the outside tables. Yesterday it was MINE, all mine! Well, it was my friend's too but she didn't really get a look in. Delicious smokey lomo, paprika rich chorizo, peppery salchichon and salty Teruel ham

...you're the envy of the foodies and gawping tourists heading into the market. We have a crisp cava (£5.95) as we wait for our A-List Twittering friend and before long it’s down to business.

Dr Peter Dickens. I went to this restaurant on good recommendation.
A pleasant meal was spoilt by the following-
Mussels dish. Four out of twelve mussels were completely closed. We ate the eight good ones and asked the waitress about the other four. She said she would replace them. After a long wait nothing happened and when asked again she said she had spoken to the kitchen who didn't feel they needed to provide four mussels as we had eaten the other eight!
I didnt want to make further fuss and embarrass my guests.
I settled the £90 bill for a very light meal for three and left feeling that their lack of grace was not becoming for a restaurant in your guide.
I have used your guide to locate some fantastic restaurants in London and Rome.
Apart from tonight it has been spot on.
Kind regards
Dr. Peter Dickens

Given that it's one of the most popular tapas place beside one of the most popular market in London, I was surprised to get a table without queuing. " Brindisa ?" a friend remarked when I told her about it, "isn't that the place which is always packed?" Actually, that's true unless you turn up at an ungodly 11am for a bout of tapas brunch. You'll be sure to get a seat even on a brilliant Saturday morning. Having read reviews on Brindisa about how it's the closest to an authentic Spanish tapas bar in London, we were fully expecting the hustle and bustle of the tapas bars we checked out in Spain. Unlike the typical restaurant setting, the tapas bar is relatively chaotic; you could be picking at your tapas at the bar counter, tall tables with bar stools, standard tables with proper chai

Despite all the rave reviews it gets, I've only recently discovered for myself the joy that is Tapas Brindisa at Borough Market . If you haven't been, go - eat ham, drink sherry, enjoy the buzz. I was earlier put off the Brindisa restaurants by an altogether ho hum experience at related Tierra Brindisa in Soho, which I couldn't even be bothered writing about. But now, at the same site, the restaurant has re-opened full of Madrid-like abandon, as a walk in tapas restaurant - another Tapas Brindisa . Being in the neighborhood and with my ear to ground, I was quick to take up the 50% off soft opening offer tonight with my friend, the intrepid Rachel. There's a no reservations policy, so the sherry bar at the front was already bustling with a crowd eager to hoe into bite sized Padron Peppers, creamy Iberico ham and smoky chunks of chorizo as every table and stool in front room and back was crammed with happy, hungry diners. The room in the back has an open kitchen and a fiery grill, so be

Tapas Brindisa is the answer to many questions. These include: Where can I get a buzzy Spanish bite- that doesn't involve a nightmarish cheap flight?

The menu is tasty and varied, and service is brisk. The charcuterie is always a good option and they do a nice goats cheese in honey.

Oh so very average.... I arrived at 7:30 pm on a Friday (they don't take reservations), we where seated at 9:20. Luckily my dining partner ran a bit late so i was happy to go to the pub across the road which lead to a few glasses of wine and some awesome wasabi nuts (the culinary highlight of the evening). Mainly we didn't go anywhere else due to the lack of other restaurants in the area. So after more than 90min of wait we where finally seated.

The reason why we chose Brindisa was random yet in my opinion a obvious one. For a very long time I would walk, jog pass, visit the market and think, ah it looks such a busy and lovely place… Surely it must be a great. Well its not.

The staff was friendly enough, as helpful as staff in a very very busy restaurant can be. The average red wine on the menu was about £20 so not really a easy going, relaxed, table wine kinda place.

We ordered 5 tapas between two and was hungry after. I started with lame dry bread and ended with highly overpriced tiny portion cheese. In between we were treated to black rice and calamari was 3 rings of dry, battered calamari on a pile of soggy black rice. Half a bowl full of tiny steamed mussels in a very salty white wine and fresh herbs broth. Some chorizo, potato and pepper omelette with allioli without any chirizo served very chilled and dry. The only tasty part of the evening (aside from the wasabi nuts) was the Iberian ham croquettes. Tasty.

We where still hungry so after the food we decided to opt for the 'Selection of regional Spanish cheeses with toast £ 13.75'. Now don't get me wrong. I am not a whole chicken swallowing, rugby playing giant. I am a average girl with an healthy appetite but seriously. Why the frikkin tiny portions. If you would charge less I would be less annoyed.

In total the evening cost us £73. We shared a bottle of table wine, had 4 tapas dishes and a cheese platter and was charged £1 for a glass of tap water.

Go if you have more money than sense. A wanky over rated restaurant. I guess its location close to borough market makes for a 'foodie' experience but in my opinion I'd rather opt for a Nandos and get what I pay for. A disappointing night of dining, to say the least.

...the meal came to about £35 each which was pretty good for what we ate and how much was enjoyed it. And we could’ve easily carried on and eaten more … or is that just me talking?

This is a simple tapas bar on the edge of Borough Market. It utilises the excellent Spanish produce of its sister shop, Brindisa, within the market itself. For example you can (for £20) get a plate of the superb Gran Reserva Joselito ham, perhaps the best

Simple. Yummy.. This has become our de facto breakfast spot when we wake up in London. Great cafe con leche and a breakfast with grilled chorizo is a winner every time. Be sure to check out their shop down the street in Borough Market!

It is 20 years since Brindisa began importing Spanish produce into the UK. Back then, not much was known about Spanish food. Back then Spanish cuisine was often associated with peasant food containing excessive amounts of garlic and olive oil. Brindisa, t

Wishing to complete a trio of tapas reviews, I scooted on down to Brindisa Tapas near London Bridge last night, heartened by recent recommendations and very much looking forward to a few slices of nice "jamon" and a dry sherry. However, it wasn't to be. H
