Cockneys Pie & Mash - London - Photo album

Warming pies, only one type of pie. Have to try the gravey next time. One of the pies was just right, unfortunately the second one was too hard on the edges. But if you want the simple hit of pie, def come here for one
1 mash 1 pie at 4.5pounds, so very reasonably priced. Tasted great with vinegar and pepper. Told the lady whom I assume is the owner that it was my 1st time eating mash & pie as it was my first time in London. She said the shop is around for 38 years. The place is a simple looking shop which you pro
I had been craving Pie & Mash for days. Finally got it today. Went in and ordered for takeaway ,double pie & double mash with gravy and liquor, and single pie & double mash and gravy. Not all for me, honest. The pies were crispy on top and the mash was creamy . The gravy and liquor added to the full
Pie and mash, peas and gravy, it must be the weekend! As good a place as any to watch Charlie boy try on his new hat. Marvellous grub too. A lunch fit for a King.
Typical place! London is also pie and mash. Portobello is not only italian and ethnic food.
Soft and fluffy mashed potatoes, realy complimented the pie which was salted at just the right amount and seemed to have a hint of spice, although barely noticeable so not overwhelming. The sauce tasted leafy which I liked. Very filling and quite cheap for what you get. Travelled far to try it, but
Lovely place, staff are friendly and the food is to die for. Gordon Ramsey has nothing on this place, even with his three Michelin stars. I highly recommend this place.
Pies and mash, innit. FYI, “cup of liquor” is some type of starchy parsley sauce and it’s a nice way to add a twist to this classic dish.
Amazing local food for reasonable price Highly recommend
Lovely pie and mash shop on Portobello Road. Good food and service. It says "cash only" at least three times on the frontage - just saying (some appear not to have noticed that before entering)
Love this Pie & Mash shop! Food is delicious - I have been back many times & never disappointed
As a born and bred cockney, I had my reservations about this place with it being on the other side of London, but… WOW! The other half (another Londoner) and I have been to many if not all of our great city’s pie and mash shops, with varying opinions (nothing beats your local one in general). We bot
Lovely pie from a lovely lady! Such a delight
Pie & Mash at its best. Friendly staff and a busy cafe while I was there. The food itself was as expected. Will visit again.
CASH ONLY. I started with that because I had a sneaking suspicion it was the case but rolled the dice anyway. There were signs in the door that I didn't see in any of the photos. Fortunately I had 20usd and the post office across the street exchanged it for me (probably at a really bad rate) Wit
Loved it! The authentic taste 😋🤩 recommended 🙏
Great, inexpensive pie and mash! I thought I was not going to like the liquor because I don’t like parsley but it was delicious.
Pie, mash, gravy (liquor if preferred), fixed communal seating at a very affordable price. Just what you want from a classic London Pie and Mash Cafe. Brilliant.
