Lovely lunch to celebrate niece’s 20th birthday! Service was impeccable and food delicious. Cheeky delivery of candle in dessert for said niece and a rendition of Happy Birthday to you from the waiter quartet made it special. Alex our waiter was particularly awesome! Thank you.
Lovely spot. Friendly staff, great food
Ordered for Antipasti, Pizza, Pasta. Everything was fresh, delicious and the serving size was good too. Only did not like the Aubergine in Antipasti. Enjoyed. Will try other items too.
I had the ceasar salad with chicken and margheritta pizza along with mushroom tortellini pasta which is recommended.
A bit noisy but we enjoyed the meal and the waitress was helpful.
Location, Location, Location - Steps from the RFH, great alfresco space combined with friendly staff, reasonable prices and a delicious menu with tasty mains such as the pictured thin crust primavera pizza and spinach tortelloni makes it one of my favourite restaurants to revisit when in London!
Let me inform... This review is specifically for Strada at the heathrow airport. I am unable to find the location so writing here.
After all its all about STRADA
THE FOOD IS JUST so delicious. Beautiful place. Amazing ambiance and delicious food. Too of all good service. All the foodies out there. If you visit heathrow terminal 3 this is a place you can't miss. They serve some amazing delicious Italian food. The penne and the garlic breads were worth every penny spend. Delicious food. And the attendant Kate was one happy lady serving some good food. Perfect. Kudos to all.
Strada Southbank is a nice place to dine in. The casual Italian concept is well respected here and the guest can benefit from a somehow authentic experience.
The restaurant was packed with people but we were escorted smoothly to our table. The waiter gave us some time to choose from the menu.
We ordered the following menu items:
-Arancini: interesting dish
-Schiacciatella mozzarella: rich in flavor
-Penne Carbonara: needs some improvement
-Cannelloni: needs some improvement
-Sirloin Steak: not a typical Italian dish
The food took centuries to arrive and no waiter was interactive with us. When the food arrived, the presentation was good and the general taste was good. The portion of food needs to be studied in a more scientific way to match the value.
I recommend Strada for friends willing to have a nice casual Italian food experience but some actions need to be well monitored by the management to retain customer loyalty.
Loved eating here! The menu looked great and the food was delicious as well. Best part of this place was it allows for smaller portions. So the pasta can be served in starter sized portions. And they have pizzetta's which are mini pizzas served with salad. We have a vegetarian ravioli filled with tomato, mozzarella and basil, along with basil pesto on top in a thyme butter sauce. The starter size portion came with 4 pieces which was perfect for me. We also ordered the creamy chicken pasta with mushroom sauce. Really good, would recommend it. And finally we ordered a pizza as well. I'd recommend this place for an affordable good Italian meal.
A great place to spend an afternoon. Perfect ambiance, great service and good food
Ordered the mushroom and truffle bruschetta which was an explosion of taste in my mouth, couldn't find any fault in that and the pomodoro rustica- the pasta which was very average. But a good experience all in all
This is a very nice contemporary look and feel restaurant by the river. It offers a great view of the Thames and the Tower Bridge. If you prefer fresco seating, you will also get a great view of the square and the fountain from where you can hear a nice humdrum of humanity around you.
The food list is nice and short. We had ordered a round of garlic bread. It was not what I had expected, although it was tasty. For main's they served me a nice spinach Ravioli. The wine list is crisp and not too confusing. We ordered a Pinot Grigio and it was nice. There is something about drinking a nice chilled wine on a glorious sunny morning in London.
The order taking is a little slow and you have to attract their attention. But once you do, the delivery itself is fast.
They hardly have a single malt menu. As a stereotype, I expected every restaurant I go to in London to be big on whiskeys, but not this place. But then again it is an Italian restaurant. So an elaborate whisky menu would have been out of place.
The one restaurant I really wanted wifi since I had just gotten off a flight and for some reason I could not get my LTE/ 4G to work. Hence, the delay in posting this review :).
Mouthwatering risotto and excellent service. From the minute we walked in the door, I knew this meal was going to be good.
We ordered chicken risotto, spaghetti bolognese and chicken in mushroom sauce. All three dishes arrived at the table very promptly. The risotto was one of the best I've had in years (I now live in Australia so that isn't hard!). My auntie and uncle loved their dishes. Gelato afterwards was divine although the cheesecake isn't as good as I anticipated.
Service throughout the whole experience was a pleasure; efficient, prompt and with a smile.
Thankyou for such a wonderful meal.
Cozy Italian restaurant at Southbank, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner (be careful with the super green salad, it’s very tasty but has spicy chilli 🌶️!). The staff is very kind and the QR payments system is very smooth. Fair price for the location
We had a lunch at busy Sunday afternoon.
Everything was lovely starting with the reception lady finishing commi waiter.
Excellent fast service.
Mains came within 10 mins, portions were huge, we couldn’t finish.
Dessert was okay, but dessert wine is the only thing we didn’t enjoy food wise.
Recommend, great spot for family groups or quick and fulfilling meals.
Me and my son came here for a quick bite and wow, we where amazed, from the drinks to the food and the service , everything was perfect. Thanks specially to David , our server, and Tiziana the bartender that made amazing cocktails . Overall 11/10 experience
Speedy service. Good fresh pasta with freshly ground parmesan cheese. Smooth sauvignon blanc. Lovely riverside view. Excellent location for concert-goers. But be aware of the 12.5% service charge. On top of that, they asked for tips which were set in their online payment system in our case at £7 (10%) by default unless you choose other options. Just don't get yourself too drunk before checking the bill.
We had a lovely meal with our server Paris. Friendly, fast and knowledgeable service about allergen diets and attentive and caring to guests with accessibility needs. Wonderful customer service and definitely deserving of a promotion. An example to her peers. Thank you!
I've never been to strada before. But it's an excellent location right on southbank. Lots of outdoor seating, shame about the rain or we could have eaten with a view of the river. The food was delicious absolutrly cannot fault it. The kids' menu is brilliant value, starter, mains, drink, and dessert for under £10! My only criticism would be that we were still eating our starters when our mains were brought and put on the table. Which left us with no room and feeling like we were being rushed, which was a shame. Other than that, it was lovely. They have facilities for you to pay at the table with a qr code so you dont have to wait for someone to come and bring your bill, which i liked.
Lovely menu, lovely staff especially Adam, he was running around taking alot of the orders, cleaning and everything, was very impressive to watch. Would 100% recommend this place, Not that pricey either.
Sat outside on a rainy evening under the umbrella which was very atmospheric. Receptionist/server named Paris was the best ever. So warm and welcoming. Very informative and nothing was too much trouble. Made our evening complete. Food was a high standard. Spaghetti bolognese for the husband and chicken and mushroom main for me.
My friend and I both agreed the pizza and drinks were great! And I loved the atmosphere of lots of people near the river. Would come back again!
Fantastic service and food quality.
We were in London to see the Lion King at the Lyceum, but we were out and about passing time until the start of the show and did the usual touristy stuff. We found ourselves at Southbank at around 6pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. Ideally, we needed to be on the Tube for 6.45pm.
We were seated promptly even though we didn’t have a booking, and our order was placed quickly. We both ordered steak after seeing another diner having one, and it looked good.
Less than 10 minutes later, the steaks were on our table, cooked perfectly! Everything was beautifully seasoned and nothing was left. We were even left with a card so we could pay at our leisure and leave without needing to wait for a server. This suited us very nicely and we actually made the Tube for 6.45pm.
Strada clearly take pride in customer satisfaction and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I find myself in Southbank again.
