Excellent place! Service was great and the food was delicious! We picked a 3 course set menu which was outstanding! So much food we could not finish it and price was great value at only £20 per head. Definitely recommend it!

The food was amazing along with the varied menu, so much to choose from for every kind of pallet!!! The customer service was on point and I liked the authenticity and decour, it's not a tourist kind a restaurant and it was nice to see Chinese people enjoying the food too, always a good sign!!! There's a James Bond kind feel to the place and I definitely recommend going there and will be back again!!!!

Had a dim sum lunch. Good quality. I always judge dim sum by the har gau. Nice texture of big pieces of shrimp, not the finely minced scraps you get at lesser places. Sauce on the cheung fun was better than most places. Large whole shrimps in the cheung fun. Scallop dumplings were our star order.  Fried bean curd sheets filled with prawns were also great. The only complaint about food was that my favourite dim sum of xiao long bao (soup filled dumplings) were not on the menu.

The great thing about New Loon Fung is the chilled atmosphere. A lot of the Chinatown dim sum places have rude staff that try to chase you out as soon as you have finished eating. Not so here. Staff was attentive and kept our tea pot filled without having to ask. Service was quite quick too.

While living in London, my wife would always choose New Loon Fung as our “day date” location for great grub. I celebrate the restaurant and it’s downstairs grocery store to the fullest. The dim sum options are endless. We really love the yam croquette, the sheng fung, and the chicken feet.

Dim sum on a Sunday? What an excellent idea.

I went to this restaurant because my friend wanted to eat dim sum in Chinatown and it had the best rating on Zomato. I now understand why.

The decor was gorgeous with plush purple carpets and pink linen tablecloths. The clientele appeared to be a mixture of tourists and regulars. The fact that there were regulars assured me that we had made a good decision. Service was excellent with a great number of waiters keeping an eye out for our every need. The food came out as it was ready with a very efficient system where the orders were ticked off a list as they came to the table.

The food itself was delicious. My favourite dish was the barbecued pork steamed buns, which were piping hot and cooked to perfection. The savoury dim sum was better than the sweet so I would recommend going for more of those.

Overall, this place definitely deserves its high rating and I urge you to visit if you are ever craving dim sum!

Great options, we got the vegetarian set menu for 2 people at £18 each, so much food for the price! Vegetarian Crispy Duck Rolls were amazing, all dishes so flavourful and staff so lovely. Busy but managed to squeeze us in and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

One of the best dim sum in Chinatown at the moment. Service are fine, they need to sort out the lift and the issue with flushing in the ladies quick!

Went there a couple of times for dim sum lunch with a big family group. The food was good and the service was friendly which is not a given in Chinatown so it is highly appreciated. They also allow you to book in advance which is a great plus when you are going out with a big family group with old granny and baby cousins. Dim sum choices were plenty and you can get a lot of traditional dim sum dishes which is really good. The price is noticeably cheaper than a lot of places so great value for money. A very enjoyable experience overall. Would definitely go back.

The restaurant is easy to overlook as it is located on the second and third floor of the building with only the narrow street entrance visible. But entering the restaurant, you will find it busy and filled with eating guests, most of them Chinese or Taiwanese. Which is always a good sign. A Chinese restaurant with no Chinese guets is a tourist trap. The interior decoration is simple and most of the tables have no view of the outside. I was seated in a room with many guests and no windows at all. That is, however, not the impportant thing. The important thing is the food which is served fast, very well-prepared and tasty. The selection of dishes and dim sum is extensive, but the waiter was helpful and also commented on my choices and suggestions. Highly recommended.

I shared dinner here with 5 work colleagues, and we each ordered things for our personal tastes but ended up sharing with each other. Two ordered the Vegetarian shared meal for two and boy, was it a lot of food for the $. The stir-fried tofu was the most delicious of the many plates they were served. One person ordered chicken spring rolls and fried rice, and she devoured the fried rice. Two co ordered crispy duck, a rice pancake dish, and a sweet & sour dish that were each uniquely flavored and healthy portions. I ordered the crispy fried lamb with ginger and scallions. The serving presentation reminded me of fajitas in a Mexican restaurant. The server brought a flaming hot cast iron plate supported by a pine wood tray.(it was so hot you could detect the odor of the wood sap) There was also a bowl of the entree which was poured onto the cast iron plate to further cook the entree. It sizzled, it smoked, and the air at the table was fragrant with ginger and garlic. 😋 I devoured my portions of food, and it stayed nice and warm on the skillet plate. There was plenty of ginger, scallions, lamb, and a few pieces of bokchoy, and together they were a taste I won't forget for a long time. Definitely some of the best authentic Chinese food I have tasted in many years. I will definitely return to New Loon Fung. I also want to compliment all of the servers and staff working here; they work as a well-oiled machine and keep the food coming, tables cleared, and customers happy and well fed.

We had lunch, staff were friendly and nice. We ordered as starter a mix of dim-sum and was really tasty and different variety. My bf ordered some noodles with beef and was delicious was the right salt and very big portion. I ordered deep fried squid which was quite hard and I believe was not really fresh, I did eat it with some white rice which it helped but won’t order again. Overall was all good and we would try again if we come back to London 😊

Good selection of authentic dim sum but for anyone who wants to try something a bit more then you must get the steamed scallops with garlic and vermicelli!

My go-to Dim Sum restaurant as a BBC (British Born Cantonese) Londoner. Service is always good and their dim sum is authentic and delicious. Must try their Roast Pork Puff Pastry and Water Chestnut Cake - both of my personal favourites! If you want classics, go for their Har Gow, Siu Mai, Prawn and Chive Dumpling, Turnip Cake, Prawn Cheung Fun, Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce and Roast Pork Bun. For those of you wanting something a little more exciting, try the Cold Chicken Feet or Thai styled Chicken Feet, Duck Tongue, Ginger and Spring Onions tripe and the Curry Whelks.

Hands down the best Asian restaurant in China town. Baby octopus was delicious. Everything was delicious. Beer stone cold which is an advantage.
