I recently explored the Blue Anchor pub, where the interior exudes the charm of ancient London's history. What distinguishes this cozy spot is its breathtaking view of the River Thames, enticing me to come back. I must praise the exceptional food; the chefs prepare each dish with evident passion and love, resulting in a delightful dining experience. The staff's dedication is palpable, making the visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend trying their Sunday roast beef, a culinary delight that exceeded my expectations. My time at this pub left me with an array of positive emotions and a wonderful mood.

I came to the blue anchor with my parents who had just flown in from austria. We needed somewhere quiet and relaxing to sit and catch up over a nice lunch. Blue Anchor was the perfect place to do so with a warm relaxed environment and great service. A young man called Alfie looked after us and his hospitality and genuine interest in us was the highlight of our visit. It’s so lovely when people find the time to stop and talk even when they are working. my parents really appreciated this, and we all enjoyed the fish and chips very much. Great place with great staff.

Excellent Pub by Thames river next to Hammersmith Bridge. It was a beautiful Saturday, packed with people but we were able to find a table for 6. Very friendly staff. Kitchen opens about 12 noon but be quick to order your food, they may run out especially the popular choices. Other than that cosy atmosphere where you can easily spend half a day under the sun enjoying your drinks and food

Had such a nice dinner with my husband here last weekend. Food and drinks were amazing. Would like to make special mention to lovely Gabby who recommended a wine that was to die for and matched perfectly with my meal.
Service was phenomenal.

Just adore this pub! By the river with amazing views, even better to see if you sit upstairs for a quick meal. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere here is always buzzing.

Classic good Thames side pub. Great selection of tap beer and very awesome wine list. Felt a bit pricey but I've been out of London for a while so fair enough.

Great spot to have a chilled drink by the river, especially when the sun is out. Always feel well looked after by staff, especially Adam who went out of his way to make our drinking experience 10/10.
Will come back to try the food, the burgers looked sooo good!

We hosted a drinks and nibbles event for our pre-wedding festivities with 60 guests upstairs at the Blue Anchor. The attentive and kind staff provided excellent and flexible service throughout the evening. Compliments poured in for the delicious food, and the bar staff efficiently served drinks, avoiding any long lines. The event was flawlessly executed, complemented by a lovely view that added to the enchanting atmosphere. Our experience surpassed all expectations. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

From the moment I walked into this place I felt at home. Bartender knew her way around a pint I’ll tell you that for free (I think her name was gabby). Perfect pour, even better service and banter. You’ve got yourself a customer for life if she keeps pouring beers like that!

Pub located along the River Thames, before Hammersmith Bridge; has both outdoor and indoor tables. We went outside and were served well and quickly. We got haddock fish (I would have preferred cod) and a very good hyppo burger. Very flavorful crispy fries. Overall we had a good time. I would stay there again.

Excellent service from staff who were keen to support variations to the menu when requested. They were polite and friendly. The food could have been warmer but the fish and chips were fresh and not over cooked.

I rented the upstairs room for my 30th birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The space is so good for a large function; we arrived an hour early and were able to put up some decorations. The view looking over the river is gorgeous, and the open doors provided a welcome breeze on what would otherwise have been a very muggy evening! The bar staff were so friendly the entire night with a packed room, and even put on another bartender when it got really busy. There had been an issue with the sound system earlier in the week which they had notified me about in good time; I was a bit disappointed and then thrilled when they ended up being able to fix it in time for the party. Great communication in the run up to the party all round.
Would highly recommend booking for your next event! Everyone kept saying what a great place it was.
Thanks so much!

Weather warm and sunny so pub extremely full yesterday and very friendly bar staff coped well. Ordered drinks and food and was told a 40 minute wait on food but it was only 15 minutes. Not the best you have eaten but the views and atmosphere makes up for it.

Good food. Nice view from river room but ridiculously hot even tho windows open so not so comfortable. Not so great for hot summer.

Lovely pub overlooking the river. We had a great family Sunday Lunch (really good portion sizes!) with a really warm welcome, will defiantly be back

Lovely old riverside pub with nice ambience. Despite being very crowded it maintained a great atmosphere as a local community place. Lots of seating outside among some beautiful flower planters. A great spot to refuel on a sunny day

Homely and comfortable making Sunday a little bit more brilliant ... looking out on Thames watching the rowers waiting for roast chicken with a full glass of Rocca... with all my best friends my new favourite Hammersmith/ Barnes place to be! So nice here x

Love it for it's vibe. Caught up with a friend after long who took me here.
Next to the Thames, lovely.
They could do better with more finger food though!

The cutest small bar by the river. If you are lucky with the weather as we were yesterday you will spend amazing couple of hours enjoying white wine, Thames river coming up closer every hour, swans and life which is slow goes by while you are enjoying the sun and wine. Menu looks nice and we spotted families and group of friends who enjoyed their lunch. I will definitely be back to try their food next time

Great place to catch up for a pint & a meal alongside the Thames in Hammersmith. This place was ideal for me as it was walking distance to my house. I opted for the pork ribs which came with chips & salad and a nice cider to wash it all down. Ribs were a little dry and not overly meaty but still not bad.
