Best authentic Indian food. Supportive staff. Lovely customers. Chicken tikka masala and chicken burra masala must try.
Loved the malai koftas that were so soft that they actually meted in your mouth.
Another Indian restaurant that I accidentally popped in when I felt hungry travelling. We had some good kulchas and egg curry. Simple and tasty. The ambience is also quite good with some creepers and indoor potted plants.
Really good authentic cuisine and great for spice lovers. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and the ambiance really nice. Will definitely go back again.
We ordered popadums to graze on whilst waiting for our food- they were very oily but the green chutney served on the side was delicious! For mains we went for the chicken biryani and punjabi chicken curry with white rice. The biryani was good, the rice was very moist and a good balance of flavours. The curry was okay - I hoped for it to be more spicy. The sevice was quite slow, I even asked for tissues and was ignored, total was £60 for 2.
We were a party of 4 we have ordered quite a few dishes e.g. daal, chicken/prawn curries, biryani and lamb tikka.. Good flavours and good balance of spice in every dish. Reasonable pricing and good service. Not too exciting though.
Year's ago this was my favourite restaurant. It's not as good as it was back then, but still good. Their baingan curry is very good with lots of whole small aubergines. I would recommend this restaurant and enjoy it from time to time.
My first review in London. We were fully tired shopping & desparately wanted some good indian food. Our choice of Haandi was just to perfect. Ambience was good. Waiters r really courteous. Food was excellent. We ordered for paneer chilly, adraki aloo gobi, malai kofta, dal & some naan & paratha. Everything was very tasty. Overall a good experience 👍
This place is expensive. But the food is good. The Dum Aloo Kashmiri and Onion Masala Rice is a must have. There are two entrances. Go around the back. 😛
Ultra hungry for Indian food.
Found the closest place. And not at all disappointed. Best Naans I'd had in the trip. Also a decent chilli Paneer and malai kofta. Would recommend if you're in the area :)
Haandi is the brainchild of chef/ restaurateur Pradeep Mullick and is part of a chain of North Indian restaurants around the world with outlets in Kenya and Uganda. However, instead of just being a cheap chain, all London based chefs have to train under M
One of the most authentic and tasty Indian restaurants in London.
Just a hop away from Harrods is this beautifully set Indian restaurants. The interior isn't something to scream about but the food really is. It is mainly North Indian cuisine thus curries are abundant. The Daal Makhni and the Chicken Mackhni are incredible. But the star of the show by far is the black daal, which the waiter explained is stewed overnight for maximum taste. The naan bread is also incredible. The menu is extremely vast and allows you to choose from a wide array of North Indian tastes to refresh your pallet.
It was obvious that our waiter was almost infatuated with the food he was serving because he told us in great detail the length it takes for the food to come out that good. He explained that everything is taken into great measure, to maximise taste.
Overall, you can not go wrong when going to Haandi.
Came to this restaurant on a recommendation. Was not disappointed.
Food has that homely but restaurant standard. The flavours are right up there.
The staff are really friendly and attentive, regularly walking around and ensuring guests are catered for.
Great hidden spot that serves some delicious Indian food! The flavours of all the dishes were excellent! If you order something spicy, make sure you get raita to help extinguish the fires! The staff are friendly and helpful. Probably want to arrive before the evening rush to get a table.
Delicious food, well seasoned, and you can tell this meal was cooked with a lot of love.
Nice food. I like the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan the most! The Fork 50% off discount was amazing!
Exceptionally delicious Indian food, a large variety of choices (both food and drinks), really clean, cozy and pleasant atmosphere.
The service is of a high quality, waiters were super helpful and friendly.
It was also not very crowded. Definitely coming back next time I’m in London!
This restaurant is hidden away from the main street. The restaurant is lovely. Top customer service. Very friendly. The food is delicious. Very authentic. Reminds me of old skool Indian food. This is a must try. Prices are high due to the area. Great atmosphere.
Great food great service. The food over here has real Indian taste and flavors are so good. We tried their masala papad, paneer chilli, paneer makhni and chilli garlic naan. I visited them on my birthday and they gave me dal rice and masala papad for complimentary. This restaurant team really know how to treat their guest. If you're missing real North Indian food in UK do visit.
Service was warm and welcoming. The chicken methi, and lamb roganjosh were excellent. Flavorful, spiced just right. The garlic naan was made with real chopped garlic bits and not dried garlic powder. Overall an excellent experience.
The food was excellent but quite pricey. The menu on the door did not reflect the same prices indoors and you must order at least 10p per person.
An excellent curry, reasonably priced for London. The manager served us and was very helpful, explaining the different curries, and even adapted one to our taste. Highly recommended.
