Discovered this place too late! One feels transported into a whole new time and place. The best music, ambience, drinks menu, service, and overall experience I have come across in the city so far.

sketch is hands down the most instagrammable restaurant I’ve ever seen. We wanted to have breakfast in the Glade room but it was fully booked so we ate in the Parlour instead. The staff were all very professional and polite. We had the eggs benedict and pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat was chewy and not flaky as I had imagined, but the chocolate chips in it was very good. The eggs benedict was quite small and very unusual-tasting which I found a little disappointing. The best part of the breakfast was the delicious bread that came with the eggs benedict, which was crisp and flavourful. The highlight was actually the decor. We were permitted to see the Glade and Gallery.. We had to wait to see the famous egg-shaped loos as they don’t open until 11:20am but I thought it was worth seeing. Go for the unique ambiance.
Whether you're a visitor or a London native, we’ve got a breakfast spot for you!
What we ate:
-Scrambled Eggs with parmesan & Paris mushrooms *our favorite *
-Scrambled eggs with melanosporum black truffle
-Porridge coconut milk & caramelized banana *bit chunky for our preference*
Lovely feel to this place!
What a great place.
Ambience-10/10
Food- 8/10
Teas- 20/10
The highlight of this place is the vast selection of teas that they have and the vibe that we feel when we sit here. Do try the macaroni and cheese as well here, it's one of my favourites.
Ah Sketch! I have been going to this place for such a long time now and I never fail to have a good time. Good food, good drinks, good service, good atmosphere..
Amazing service and absolutely delicious food. Went there for breakfast with my mom and we indulged in their delicious jams and preserves. Loved it & would love to visit again for lunch or dinner 🙌🏼
Such a beautifully quirky place with an excellent menu. Had a slice of 'success' with Jamaican blue Mountain coffee - perfect match. Both were pretty divine. Waitress kept breaking things, but overall it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. I do take issue with the loos though. The pods are a tad claustrophobic and a bit too disconcerting.
One of the swankiest places in London, the Sketch looks so small form inside but man once you enter it surprises you. The ambience of the place is the highlight, I went there post 9 pm to grab some drinks, unfortunately they weren't serving any food then but the drinks were good.
I was disappointed from the fact that the manager denied to serve food, but the rating is only for the ambience and good drinks. One visit is highly recommended.
One week before when we were planning to visit this place many animal activists were protesting against Foie Gras with sirens and placards in front of Sketch.
While sketch has many hidden rooms and dinning areas, this little cosy parlour is a perfect place for an afternoon tea with friends. It's a small place with a lot of presence and character, one of my favorite places in London. Good selection of pastries and an even better ambiance
We went for afternoon tea and the setting was stunning! I loved all the decor and quirky decorations. The food was delicious, with plenty of top ups so we got our moneys worth. Only downside was the 1.5hr time limit on afternoon tea - I would have preferred more time!
Delicious but not value for money!. I'd wanted to go to Sketch for afternoon tea for a long time & we weren't disappointed. Lovely sandwiches, heavenly scones & delicious petit fours!
Very expensive for what it is though... we had no change from £60 and didn't even have a glass of wine!
On a flying visit to London I managed to get along to one of my favourite restaurants, Sketch for a quick breakfast. Their take on Eggs Benedict may have been a tad unconventional but it was no less delicious - two poached eggs, spinach coulis, toast and lemon beurre blanc!
There is an air of deliberate randomness in the café; chequered vs floral cushioned stools sprawled across the floor, marbled coffee tables of various heights dotted here and there, lamps and ornaments at the most unlikely corners, odd skull every now and then… the kind of decorations Mad Hatter would adorn his home with. Yet it doesn't lose its elegance with the Louis XV sofas, antique tables and the crimson velvet curtains. It sets an
One of my favourite bars is definitely Sketch, all its different rooms, 5 bars and restaurants, styles, mental toilets, even a Michelin star restaurant The Lecture Room & Library, all that under one roof
The madness of afternoon tea at Sketch only really becomes apparent when it comes to nipping to the loo. Other than that, behold the tea and cakes and dream of genies. Sketch is an eccentric's dream, with fashion house logos inside
At Sketch, the food sounds like it has been invented by Willy Wonka, not three Michelin star chef Pierre Gagnaire
After some heavy shopping along Regent and New Bond Streets, Ying and I decided we should eat, not because we were hungry but logistically, we had to fit lunch in and cake from Hummingbird and time definitely waits not for food fools. I suggested Sketch,
This place has been by far my daughter's favorite dining place. We had arrived at this place without a prior booking and still the staff was kind enough to accommodate us at a decent table. The staff happens to be very well coordinated and very cooperative. The was impeccably amazing. The presentation definitely earned some browny points. It was fresh and well cooked. The pricing was fine. Recommended.
I have had the most amazing lunch at this restaurant. we had ordered fish and chips along with crispy potato and salad which was all sumptuous and delectable. The ingredients were farm fresh and the flavors spoke volumes of the competence of the chef. The interiors are interestingly done and are quite appealing.
Sketch happens to be one of my favorite places to dine in in London. I have been a regular at this place ever since I visited this place for the first time. The food is amazingly delicious and the service is very efficient and quick. The staff members are very coordinated and cooperative. The washrooms are well maintained and very hygienic. This place is incredible value for money. Strongly recommended.
The ambiance here is very lively and buzzing. The tea here is very comforting and relaxing as well. The food, however, is absolutely delectable! The quality of the food was not compromised on even though the decor is quite hip. We had a great time here and will definitely be returning!
It's a very beautiful parlour which is extremely quirky and very unique. In fact, a very good parlour for special afternoon tea. They serve you a wide array of delicious sandwiches and tempting cakes. The staff is also very friendly and cooperative. The interiors are good and very comfortable ambiance. I was very much happy with the food. It's a very good place for special treats at Sketch for afternoon tea.
Parlour happens to be one of the best places I have been to in London. If you are planning to visit London then definitely pay a visit to this place as well. The staff is incredible, the service provided is insanely amazing and the food served is very fresh and tastes exquisite. A very classy, cheerful and elegant environment to dine-in. Strongly recommended.
I visited this place with some of my friends last weekend and were thoroughly impressed by the service from the moment we entered the place. The servers were really attentive and didn't quite budge even. The place offers a wide variety of teas and the place is usually bustling and filled with people.
This is one of the best places for a pit stop while shopping in the West end.
I was thinking for a very long time to give this place a shot and when I did, it turned out to be a pretty good choice. I had sandwiches and scones which were of impeccable quality but on a rather expensive side. I might recommend you to try this place for their delicious food but remember, they also charge exorbitant prices for it.
This place has a very haphazard arrangement, chairs here and there, of various height, tables too, decorated in place where no one would expect anything, even skulls ever now and then, it however does a fine job with the deliberately chaotic look. And some wonderful food to go with it.
Lovely experience at this bar, a lot of different settings to choose from, and good variety of drink too. A good place to hang out with friends, clean toilets and a nice restaurant inside. The place even has a library under the same roof.
On a quick visit to this city, i was happy that i got the time to stop by at my favorite place for a quick breakfast. They make the eggs Benedict in a different way than usual but they are really delectable. Service is friendly and quick. I would definitely recommend this place to every one.
I have known about this place for years now but never really got a chance to visit it until a friend of mine visited Sketch and uploaded a picture in some crazy architectural columns. I finally visited this place and I am in love with Sketch. The outlook of this place is awesome and you should definitely visit it.
WE stopped here for tea and really liked the place, The parlour was nice and warm, unlike the busy street outside, the seat was a little uncomfortable though.Tried the cakes, they were amazing and so were the cocktails. Brilliant food and awesome ambiance. Will return here soon.
This is one of my favourite places in London. First time I was invited here for an afternoon tea few years ago and since then I happily go back.
The afternoon tea here is such a treat due to the relaxing atmosphere and the beautiful decor.
There's a wide selection of teas and freshly baked scones, cakes and sandwiches.
If you get hungry there's a nice selection of food in the parlour room. I once tried the veal Milanese and my friend had the grilled salmon. Everything was tasty.
I haven't been yet in the other rooms but as soon as I get someone to join me I'll go for dinner as I've seen great reviews.
It may sound crazy but the most extraordinary part of this entire building is probably the toilet. You get there and you just stare at the great design.
I love this place and I return here with great pleasure.
Well done Sketch for knowing how to make people feel welcomed.
This place is really unique. It is one of the restaurants of sketch off of the business of Oxford street. It is a great place to come for lunch if you are out shopping to come relax and have a drink or a cup of tea. The food here is just amazing. I went with some friends and we were each very pleased with what we ordered. The presentation of each dish was very nice. The most interesting dish we ordered was the Friday special, fish and chips. The main was this lovely salad and they brought a side dish with the fish and chips, the chips they brought were similar to hash browns and the fish was small individual strips. I will defiantly come back to sketch to try out their other restaurants.

Even before my food hunt days, Sketch was on my hit list. Ever since I saw my friend posted a pic of her in the weird egg shape cocoon cubicles I was intrigued in visiting the venue. It’s taken me 6 years to finally step into the doors of Sketch.
In between Oxford circus and Regent Street the venue may look inconspicuous from the outside but once you step in you be overwhelmed by the splendour décor of the converted Georgian house. Sketch has 3 different rooms, as we only wanted some cakes and tea we were seated in the parlour room. The parlour room offers diners a casual setting; each piece of furniture was eclectic, quirky and unique. I loved the weird art hanging off the walls and the staffs uniform.
At the time my friend and I fancied some cream tea and cakes. Most of the cakes were sold out, and “birds of passion” was offered to me.
In a triangular form coated with coconut and a splash of passion fruit puree, topped with a chocolate shaped like a birds beak. The cake was velvet smooth, creamy with subtle coconut tropical flavours, it hit the spot well.
The Cream Tea set, was served in wrapped in towels, the scones portion was large and alongside 3 little saucers of 2 different jams and clotted cream. Sketch serves tea from Jing, an excellent choice. Darjeeling was my choice, the scones were quite disappointing to me, it was bitter from too much baking soda and the jams tasted diluted.
My friend went for Blue Éclair which got her “mmmming and ahhing” throughout our afternoon tea.
Overall Sketch was had great ambience, delicious cakes and very amusing venue.
Located just off the Oxford Circus...this place is amazing...You could enjoy the quiet breakfast here...or cocktails with ur friends in the Parlour or tea in the glade....or just having your dinner...A classic place of London.....You could enjoy the music of the DJ while sippin and chattin away with your friends having your cocktails....The atmosphere is nice, cozy and warm...the staff is very courteous and polite....Located at the heart of London, this place is qute amazing...
PS-Although on the heavy side for the pocket...The food of the place is quiet good along with the ambiance...

A classic in London, located just off of Oxford Circus this place offers everything, starting off with breakfast in the Parlour, where lunch is also served, Tea and cocktails in the Glade and dinner in the Lecture room.
After this you can go back to the Parlour for cocktails where a DJ will be playing.
The atmosphere is really nice and cosy and the staff is nice.
The price are a little bit expensive, but finally is fine regarding with the place and the quality of the food which is pretty good.
Very good place: a must go in the heart of London...
I couldn't not mention this incredibly popular venue in London that has rapidly become 'The place to be' and is worth the detour for everyone, whatever your style is. Very impressive decor, with lots of colors and patterns, mismatched glassware and chairs, gives the evening a fantasy feeling. Also the egg shaped toilets seem to be a destination on their own. Definitely the right venue for a special occasion.

We were seated in the artsy room. I ordered waffles and mocha, which are really tasty. The place is very instagrammable and very artsy. Ambience and the atmosphere are perfect and the diners are so classy as well. Do not miss to visit the toilet.
We had afternoon tea at in The Gallery. All the food was wonderful - probably the best sandwiches I’ve ever had as part of a tea. The coronation chicken is amazing.
I love how all the food matches the theme of the space as well.
The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the first dish was placed down and no one told us what it was; I had to ask after.
Our friends booked us in for a double date afternoon tea. And it was delicious, being waited on like that was a fun experience. The staffs memory immaculate. Super expensive, but that comes with the whole experience and I guess the fact one room has 3 Michelin stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The bathroom alone is a whole experience too, beautiful white staircase leading to individual egg like pods with music on in them. Unforgettable, thank you
4.5 stars if I could. Sketch defines a dining and bar -experience-. My friend and I visited for afternoon tea and a drink in the "room" across from the main dining room afterwards. The building is spectacular beyond words and transports you to another world in a way I've never quite experienced before. The
"room" the bar was in felt like sitting in a psychedelic painting. The main dining room was beautiful and was lit exceptionally well. Enjoy taking those pics!
Service is refreshingly relaxed and friendly while still maintaining the professionalism you'd expect from this calibre of an afternoon tea. The staff here really knock it out of the park. We never had an empty pot of tea and were periodically asked if there was anything we'd like additional servings of. You'd expect it to be remarkably stuffy, but they strike a great balance between being fun and refined--not unlike how they've designed the spaces.
Food itself is plentiful (come ready to dine!) and beautifully presented. Nothing was particularly spectacular taste-wise but it was all tasty. Knocked down a star the food category since I really would expect for the entire set menu to knock my socks off. I've had better individual pastries a la carte at patisseries in my life though. That being said, the pineapple and chili cheesecake and orange Victoria sponge cake were highlights. Tea selection is broad and we loved being able to order as many as we liked.
This was a special occasion and Sketch perfectly fit the bill for a leisurely afternoon tea in what "felt" like a once-in-a-lifetime environment. Keyword "felt" as I will certainly be back someday!
Went out spontaneously for last-minute cocktails, and we didn't have to wait too long , which is a bonus. We got served and seated pretty quickly . The service was amazing, I can't fault it at all. Pretty cool vibes, thumbs up.
Had breakfast in the (apologies don’t remember the name) the lower chandelier room and was excellent. We asked when there was availability for the 3 star Michelin and they surprisingly had an opening that day. It was the best dining experience we have ever had. All the servers (especially Daniel the Sommelier) were fantastic. The price of the tasting menu is very reasonable for the amount of food you are served, although ordering off their amazing wine list is what can get you in trouble. The wine service was excellent and am sad I do not live in London as I will not be able to return anytime soon.
The location is absolutely gorgeous! From the (very famous) toilets to the dining area and the cocktail rooms.. everything was fantastic.
I was a little disappointed by the food - the portions were good for the price paid but nothing exceptional taste wise. The tartare could have been fantastic but was ruined by a huge amount of cheese/sauce. Sides (especially fries and onion rings) were very good.
Amazing service.
Sketch is definitely a must do when you're in London but I feel like it is hyped up more for the ambiance than the food. Not that the food was bad but I had high expectations from the start. Make sure to book a reservation in advance! As it's a popular spot seats fill up fast.
The inside is beautiful. With different rooms decorated in different ways it is very instagrammable. The bathrooms are especially cool. The restaurant was completely full the whole time we were there.
The service was top notch. The waiters were amazing. Always checking up on us and making sure we were taken care of. I had the beef fillet to eat which was delicious. Also had the Burgundian egg meurette and it was good as well. Our drinks were strong and delicious. I would give it 4 stars because I felt it was a little over priced but soon learned that in London everything is expensive.
So go for a cool experience, good photos, strong drinks and a unique meal.
I came with my two friends summer bank holiday Monday to celebrate my 30th birthday with afternoon tea and wow, what a celebration it was! Thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, from start to finish. I was given a very warm welcome at reception, the receptionist spoke with me which was a lovely personal touch, our server was lovely and helpful and he provided us with extra sandwiches when asked. There was also live music in the form of three ladies with string instruments, and I was presented with a plate which ready happy birthday, safe to say that the vibes were immaculate and we will definitely be coming back in the future. I wish I could remember our servers name because he was wonderful. Thank you sketch 🩷
It was a chilly autumn night and my mom and I had dinner at the Sketch. The whole experience was majestic. Superb service, top-notch and delicate food, not to mention the famous egg-shaped restrooms. I especially loved the walls and the ceiling of the dining area. However, I peaked at the tea room as well, it had the alice-in-wonderland feel. I would love to visit again in the future.
Best service I ever experienced, delicious food and an aweinspiring interior. Excellent non alcoholic pairing with the food. Finesse with a touch of home.
I booked the Glade room to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday and I’m glad I did so.
She was blown away.
The amazing décor, the dainty food, and the service were all superb. Beautiful attention to detail from the host who made sure we were taken care of.
This restaurant is more than just a restaurant: it’s an experience.
You are for sure paying for that atmosphere and that's okay. We had a great time! Service really took their time with our orders and what we were looking for. $$$ higher dollar amount for sure and food was good just not as good as what you were paying for. For sure had better at cheaper places.
We didn't make a reservation but managed to get a seat about 3 noon. Food and drinks were good although £20 for a bloody mary is probably the most expensive I've ever paid for. Unique furnishings make this place interesting. I have to give this place a 4stars even I don't really want to because it's overpriced.
I came here for breakfast at the Parlour.
Very pretty atmosphere, and of course one toilet were very cool, unfortunately I could not see the other because the restaurant was closed at that time. The food is ok. I recommend to take some time at the gallery, there some tricks and optical illusion in some pieces that were very interesting. I would like to come back to a afternoon tea or dinner when in London again.
Very cool afternoon tea experience. Lots of tasty little bites to try and great variety. Friendly and pleasant service and really beautiful atmosphere.
Loved the ambiance here. Called up and got a walk in for two to one or their FOUR rooms. Not the one with the 3 Michelin stars. One of the rooms had live music!
-Ambiance, design, service is all 11/10.
-They seemed to take some risks with the room that I ate at. - There was an overall lack of cohesion in the menu, but everything popped. St Petersburg fish with fennel was fantastic.
-Salad was fantastic. Wife loved it and very crunchy.
The artichoke heart dish was awesome, but struggled from a lack of balance and too much tartness from the horseradish leaves. Would probably add more sugar syrup.
-Cauliflower mac and cheese was too soupy. Had to dig in the soup for the noodles, which was not pleasant. It didn't thicken up.
-The African (or Jamaican) rice side dish was a nice contrast, very spicy and loved the plantains. However, it was too dark of a flavor and a tad too spicy. Recommend more acid and slightly less heat. Maybe some fresh lime.
-Crazy saying this, but the bread was one of the best things we ate here
-The gin/aperol drink was fantastic.
-Total was $154 incl tax/tip for two people
-oh one more thing. If you do nothing else, try going to the bathroom
An absolutely lovely experience having afternoon tea at sketch. The decor of the restaurant is incredible, every time you turn, it’s a completely different aesthetic and just as good as the last. It’s a truly maximalist’s dream. The service was impeccable, the Scottish gentleman at the front table/door was so kind. The cost of the meal is high (think easily £100 per person), however the quality of the food is top notch and worth every pence. Everything was incredibly delicious, and I left happily full. Make sure you visit the toilets, they’re truly out of this world. In my opinion, fully worth the cost and a delightful experience. I can’t wait to come back!
