It was our first time there. The place had a great atmosphere with a lot of character. The food looked and smelt gorgeous although we didn’t dine there. When we visit London again we will definitely try the food out. Highly recommend a visit

Loved it, absolutely loved it! Great place, amazing ambient, the decoration, the furnitures, the staff, the story and of course, the beer! If I didn't live in Argentina, I would live there! Awesome place!

One of the most beautiful pubs I think I have seen in London , if it's good enough for Elizabeth Taylor , Richard Burton , Vivien Leigh to name a few , then definitely good enough for me .

Friendly & efficient staff. No loud music, nice clientele for those of us who are of a certain age and want to drink in a place that's not full of 18- 21yr olds

The Salisbury is a theatre pub par excellence in the heart of London's Theatreland. Wonderful atmosphere, nice range of food and drinks and attentive staff who make you feel at home. And for the theatre buffs: When you go to the restrooms downstairs have a look at the wonderful collage of the leaflets and posters of West End shows past and present.

Cute little pub in the middle of theatre land. Surprisingly full of locals as opposed to theatre goers ans tourists. Good stop off point if you are doing theatre or museuma of course, but just as easy a place to chill with a pint with friends if you are in the area. Get there early for seats as it gets busy.

This place seems to be a good one to start if you feel like having a pleasant experience with English cuisine. It has not changed much since it was established, with enormous mirrors, beautiful woodwork and fancy lights inside.

I felt like eating something traditional so after a quick glance at the menu I ordered a Taylor Walker pie with beef and a beer recommended on the menu. With tender meat and tasty sauce inside the pie should persuade even the worst opponents of English cuisine that it is indeed quite tasty! The pie, served with mashed potatos, some peas and carrot is so huge you will not walk, but rather roll out of the restaurant. The beer that was recommended (I can't remember its name), though also turned out to be a good choice. The friend I had a lunch with was happy with her chicken and mashroom pie as well.

Last but not least, the staff was kind and helpful, handled everything nicely (despite the crowd). For around 15 pounds we each paid for our meals, Salisbury is a decent choice.

Walked in here off chance. And had a sirloin steak dinner. Good pricing for west end, and friendly service on the bar and when served. Steak overcooked for what I ordered, but as was limited in time I didn't complain. The gravy was very tasty, as were the chips. Nice Alcohol free cider available, and served with a good glass of ice . Will be back.

Fantastic place to eat and have a pint. Only thing is, you have to order at the bar, which is not handy when travelling alone. (First find a table, then order at the bar, hoping your table's still there when you get back). Food & atmosphere was great!

Cool Viktorian style pub in covent garden. Interior nicely classic and authentic. Crowd more on tourists and usual party crews side. No place to spend an evening but definitely a good stopover for a pub crawl.

Nice pub, small and comfortable. Good beer and nice staff. The soup average and a little cold, the chicken sandwiches below average, but the Salisbury burger really good!!

When a barrel is empty, or a single pump has been disconnected from the barrels, please ask your staff to pop an empty pint glass on top of the beer pump signifying the above. Otherwise, customers don't know what is available and what isn't, and they might get annoyed if repeatedly requesting a pint and getting told 'no, it's run out'. It is a globally recognised symbol after all. And maybe ask the team to remove used plates of half-eaten food from around the dumbwaiter in the whisky room immediately after retrieving them from the tables, rather than have customers smell the stale fish supper smell left by stinky unclean cookware. Thanks in advance.

The Salisbury Pub is located in the heart of the theater district on St. Martin’s Lane in Coventry Garden not far from Trafalgar Square. It was opened in the late 1800’s and is one of the most beautiful Victorian pubs in London. This historic pub is on the historical national importance pub list due to it’s quality and opulent etched glass mirrors and gorgeous carved bar. This pub is a great place to grab a pint of beer and visit with the locals. It was very crowded and lively when we were there around six in the evening so we grabbed a seat outside and people watched. The bartenders are professional, polite, quick and attentive. Love this place!

Early April I visited the Salisbury as part of an extended crawl of old Convent garden area pubs constantly recalled by my mother from her time living in the area 80 years ago. After years of being regaled with stories of her time living in convent garden I decided to explore myself. London prices, a shock to country boy. But hey! What the hell you only live once. Congratulations you lived up to my expectations, atmospheric pub, great beer, food and service. Would recommend and like to have stayed longer, but had to move – on and complete my crawl home

Nestled on the corner of St Martin's Lane and St Martin's Court this famous Old pub is a well preserved relic of Victorian life, packed full of history. Call in for a beer! The mahogany bar and cut glass windows and panels are magnificent. What makes any venue is the people and the staff here are terrific; so kind, so helpful. We had a Festive buffet lunch for 7 in The Whisky Room. The food was good and there was a wonderful atmosphere in the whole place. Not so easy for wheelchairs everywhere in the pub but possible. The loos are in the basement via step narrow stairs. The whole place is fun and reasonably priced for theatreland. Thank you 'staff of The Salisbury' we had a great time.

A great pub with excellent food and very attentive staff. They have a great selection of beers. There us a great selection of burgers including vegetarian options apart from some pub food staples like fish and chips. A great interior though toilets could do with some refurbishment.

A nice pub with good beer (Abbot). Amazing glass. Spoilt only by the raucous noises of ladies of a certain age after a good lunch.

Pretty decent place to stop for a meal. We stopped for lunch. Busy but fairly good service. I had the sticky toffee pudding with custard and it was delicious!
