The Mad Bishop & Bear, Paddington - London - Photo album

This is a hidden gem upstairs of Paddington station. The staff are so lovely and the place is really spacious with the traditional feel of an English pub. They serve my favourite Japanese Asahi beer on tap! Which is the highlight for me ☺️ Today we had the Smoked Salmon with watercress and brown
This is really an interesting hidden gem inside the London Paddington. Amazing draft beer and vegan friendly restaurant. Perfect place to relax while waiting for the train. Ask them for today’s beer on tap. The vegan menu doesn’t have many options. They accept cash and card.
As railway station pubs go it's decent enough. Good selection of well-kept real ales. Friendly, chatty staff and plenty of power outlets to charge your phone or laptop, which is helpful when killing time between trains. Drinks prices not too bad for the location. I had a Full English breakfast for
Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and polite staff from this pub within Paddington station (on the 2nd floor). We had a late brunch and the meal was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The coffee was also a good quality. Order arrived in a timely manner. Though if you a
Hands Down, the best Eggs Benedict anywhere--sorry New Orleans. We had just gotten off long flight and taken train to Paddington when we found this delightful breakfast. Perfect blend of flavors.
I’ve been to Paddington station plenty of times before but never knew that this place existed. It’s like a little oasis of a pub in a railway station. The menu was small but reasonably priced and the food was pretty decent. The prices were reasonable but the service was itself was excellent. Very sp
Very good pub above the concourse of Paddington Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating all of it covered. There is a train arrival and departure board in the bar. The pub got its name from the fact the land around Paddington Station used to belong to the A
Excellent beers from Fuller's and others at this Paddington Station venue, discount for CAMRA members on cask ales
The bar man was so friendly and chatty Went with my family. Got the fish and chips. Was so tasty. I didn't like the tartar sauce. But my sister loved it
Absolutely wonderful place in an easily accessible location. The food is (for london) quite cheap, especially if you factor in the quality and quantity. Portions are generous, but they’re so tasty you will still want more anyway :) . The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, even when they’re sup
I had the falafel burger and chips. Was delicious! The service was amazing and no messing about wasting time which was useful as we had a train catch so our visit was limited. Atmosphere was nice with some music in the background, there was seating area separate to the pub and had available plugs fo
Really good food, with prices no worse than other pubs of its type in London. Had dinner on the mezzanine restaurant area, with a nice booth for privacy. Service was friendly and efficient. Lots of railway paraphernalia to add to the atmosphere. Some good beers available. Toilets a bit shambolic. Ov
Great food, not expensive, but a good price for the amount of food and the quality of it. The service is great. People are friendly and take their time for you while still working fast and hard. I will definitely come again here next time I’m in London.
The customer service was very good, staff extremely friendly and the food came out quickly. The chips were amazing and the wings were not bad. The atmosphere was good and comfortable as we waited for our train. I would return again.
Excellent experience lovely food and drink for my mates birthday after a long journey on the train. The staff are really friendly.
Not bad for a station pub and nice to have a Fullers venue before getting on a train. The pub is quite big and has some seating outside on the balcony type area too with some original GWR benches. A pint of Heineken and spirit with mixer came to north of £13, so I wouldn’t make a habit of coming h
Service was quick and courteous, by Cade who was polite and very jolly. Kinga also helped by kindly allowing me to use my Defence Discount card. The very tasty food was served to me by a very polite Zoltan. Overall, a wonderful experience during the madness of a train strike situation... the staff w
Great place to sit and wait for the super off peak ticket timings... they do actually have really good food and decent selection of beer. We also had a very friendly waiter!
Always good food, beer and service. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Great place to revive when we get to Paddington or to set ourselves up when heading back to the far west.
