Delicious food run by a delightful family in a lovely setting. It's basically your ideal local restaurant.

Fantastic food. The main meal (bavette) was excellent, the starter was average and a little overpriced for what they are. The dessert was excellent too. A hidden gem next to Wandsworth Common.

Worthy of the recent plaudits. Coq au Vin in a small French bistro in the same location as, what i thought of at the time 18 years ago, a smart Italian restaurant on Trinity Road in Tooting - which I can assure you 18 years was NOT smart. was interesting. Rewind a little. We, that's Lisa and I, looked for somewhere local and found somewhere, which a friend when asked, 'had they been there', replied, 'Is it a swingers club?', Bellevue Rendez-vous - you can see why...Anyway it had good local reviews - unpretentious, great value, very pregnant patron (added authenticity) and didn't disappoint. Having been, and still trying to be, on a diet of sorts, the idea of Coq au Vin did it for me - dish that I think I can do well. However this arrived on a plate smaller than the one my starter arrived on and i was set to be critical but to cut a long story short (its late and i need sleep) it was sensational. The chicken was blackened by the wine that it must have bathed in and when i asked why the plate was small the chef apparently wanted to make sure the chicken, mash and greens were adequately covered - boy were they and had i been at home i would have sucked the bones, liked the plate and kissed the chef...Suffice it to say we were happy. By the way the charcuterie was small but perfectly formed and (Yes I know white wine with coq au vin is a sin, we had a lovely bottle of Macon Fuisse 2007). In summary, trust local review sites and take a punt..we did and we are very happy we did

We go here most weeks. Family run, friendly, with reliably good French provincial cooking, and a refreshing change from chains!

Cheese!. Lovely french restaurant: delicious food at a range of prices. Best thing about the restaurant is the cheese board - great variety and amazing flavours.

Good Local French. Didnt know this place was there until Hungrydave suggested it. A small french place with a simple (short but interesting) menu and pleseant surroundings. The food/menu is home style and well cooked. Service was agreeable and swift if lacking a little charisma! The wine list is not bad either.
Not sure I would rush back but would be happy to go again.

Desert will take 12 minutes...... Is music to my ears. Its exactly what you want to hear when you order a chocolate fondant (it means they're actually making it!), and when it came it was perfect. Just like the rest of the meal.

I've past this place a dozen times and never thought of going in. The fact that it popped up on Urbanspoon so prominantly and combined with trusted gormet's comprehensive review ment I had to try it.

A lovely room with good service, the food was uniformly excellent. Good sized portions really well cooked. My companions HungryBen and Lucky Gaby's food looked just as good.

Be aware however, they don't take credit cards, so you'll need to take cash with you. It's very reasonably priced though, 3 courses with wine £35 - £40 ish (and had Foie Gras- so the starter was more expensive).

Totally recommended. I'll be a regular from now on.

A favourite. Great food, great service :) I especially recommend trying fish and seafood in this restaurant - it comes cooked to perfection (actually, so does the meat... but the fish really stands out). Sauces are always light and superbly complementary. And the wine selection is superb. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

Bellevue Rendezvous is actually one of my closest local restaurants so I've spent a fair amount of time there. Although this means I may be a little biased it also means I can vouch for its consistency. Stephanie and Pablo are a fantastic French couple wh

In homage to my late late Le Cassoulet post , I thought I would take this opportunity to go back to the future and catch up on another meal worthy of a write up. The date is some time in early November 2009, the place, Bellevue Rendez-Vous. I have lots of

Bellevue Rendez-vous is my favourite local restaurant as I live just a few minutes walk away. It is located in front of Wandsworth Common which is a great place if you are into “urban wildlife” photography (parakeets, many kinds of ducks, geese, coots, sw

We had wonderful Sunday evening at Gazette Trinity. Mushroom risotto and Canard where unbelievable. Everything was delicious. Best dessert for us was apple tart. It's so big that can easily satisfy two people. Service was flawless, we where aware that it's busy and will have to wait a lil longer for our food. I'm sure I will visit this place again to try other french specialties.

I went to this place for the first time last weekend and I really can't wait to go back. The food was delicious. I had the Brie burger and it was extremely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed but what I liked the most was the customer service. Our waitress was the best! She made us feel at home. I think she is from Romania, I'm sorry I don't ask her name. She was incredibly special. In short, I recommend this restaurant and I hope to return soon.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! So lucky it is our local so we can come back again and again. Thank you to Jeannette for the excellent service. We went on steak night on a Monday - perfect time to go and the soufflé was incredible! (April 2022) Been back again recently and loved it again! Absolutely recommend here for a lovely date night or a birthday treat. Steak night on Monday is a great deal and don't skip dessert! (January 2023)

Wow, amazing food! Such lovely flavours. I have had the lunchtime menu here a few times and it never disappoints. Add to this wonderful staff led by a friendly manager who does an excellent job of keeping very high standards of service in a very pleasant way. The venue is beautiful too, with a large glass ceiling letting in lots of natural light. Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant, definitely a must visit if you’re in the area. Had the ribeye and frites. The frites were the perfect balance of a crispy outside and fluffy well cooked potato. The steak was well grilled and tasty. The tarte tatin was great too - the apples were tart and fresh, pastry flaky and light but I did miss a caramel base that I’ve come to know tarte tatins to have.

The food was incredible! Proper French cuisine, cooked well, with perfect seasoning! The service was attentive without being overbearing. It was a busy Friday evening, and the space was relatively close, and there was a sense of urgency to the service (getting people in and out so that more people could come in), but not enough to spoil the evening.

Really good local restaurants are hard to find. This is a hidden gem. A bright spacious restaurant with a small terrace at the back, this ticked all the boxes....authentic French brasserie food (including Snails, Frogs Legs and Steak Tartare), not too expensive and friendly and courteous service. Our Bavettes were cooked as requested and were very good and the fries were excellent. We finished with Chocolat Liegeois and Tarte Fines Aux Pommes - both of which were good enough to contemplate seconds...but next time maybe. Chapeaux.

Just a nice relaxing Saturday brunch. Always love the eggs benedict and croque monsieur here. Fantastic service and lovely environment and venue. My husband and I were regulars at the Balham branch for a very long time and have recently made our way to this branch. It's great to come back.

We love Gazette Battersea and Gazette South Kensington, so we knew we’d love Gazette Trinity. It was quietly buzzing with Sunday lunchers whose meals looked great, but we chose egg-based brunch stuff, all delicious. Coffee was good too. Thanks Thomas and Sacha for friendly and professional service. We’ll be back.

I went here for a weekday lunch with my partner. I got the risotto which was absolutely lovely but the real star of the show was the crème brûlée - great crack of the spoon and very tasty. My partner loved his steak and chips which was very tender. He ordered the apple tart which was actually quite a big one so could be shared between two. Lovely decor and attentive staff. Can't wait to come back and try the other things on the menu.

Lovely cute French restaurant. The dessert was better than the main though. Think my duck was a bit overcooked. Great service. Hidden gem!
