Uncle Tony's Taverna - London - Photo album

Greek restaurant in Finchley, London. It is just in front of the tube station and easy to get in. Plenty of space inside and if you walk through it is a terrace with so many tables for clients in a chill out atmosphere. We had live music during our stay. Good service, good portions of the main dish
This is probably the most authentic tavern I have ever been in the UK! The taste and experience is the exact as if I was back in Cyprus! Definitely try the shieftalia πŸ˜‹
10/10 experience at Uncle Tony’s! Jack was an absolutely amazing host and was extremely friendly, made conversation with us and checked on us throughout our meal. Other staff are equally as friendly and even met Uncle Tony himself! The food was amazing it felt very authentic! I got so full so it’s d
Taste was so good. But the takeaway menu(/deliveroo) is much more reasonable.
Decided on a whim to treat myself to Greek food rather than walk past Uncle Tony's Taverna as I often do on the evening commute. I asked for the seabass and had the pleasure of receiving Tony's knowledge on seabass and the difference between wild and farmed seabass. He lovingly presented the whole f
Superb Greek food. Served with big smiles . Very friendly and helpful staff. Jack our server was hilarious πŸ˜‚ .
OMG so delicious, as a celiac who can't eat gluten and dairy, eating out is often a chore. I had lamb souvla, roasted veggies and chips that had only been cooked in oil with potatoes, nothing else. The food here was so tasty, fresh and truly scrumptious, they don't even have.a freezer. Everything is
Food is very tasty, big menu and lovely specials. I took one star just because it seemed a little high priced and the front of the restaurant is next to the kitchen/takeaway section so some privacy and ambiance is lost.
Delicious food and amazing service! We had the ribs with caramelised potatoes and I have to admit I’ve never had better potatoes in my whole life! We finished the amazing evening with deserts (Portokalopita and Baklava). We got to talk to Uncle Tony and he is incredibly passionate and genuine person
Uncle Tony's Restaurant just does that. feels like a family run restaurant with very nice Greek inspired interiors. Food is absolutely delicious and the portions are enormous. Staff are persistently aware and super on their service. I highly would recommend visiting this restaurant for their Greek f
The food is delicious (they only need to use a little bit more oregano in the meat) and the staff are very friendly and helpful! I would like the prices on the main menu to be a little cheaper and for all wines too and to have the opportunity to drink a glass!
Great food, great staff and great atmosphere in short. Live music at certain times, staff take the time to help with decisions and the food tastes delicious. Already recommended to the family and friends
Thought we would try the new Greek restaurant. So glad we did. Was greeted by friendly staff who asked if we had any allergies. Once we sat down and ordered they actually said we think you may have ordered too much food. How honest can you be!!!!. Once the food came it really was delicious. If I wa
Where else in north London can you get charcoal barbecued fresh mackarel and skinned boneless sardines that taste as good as this looks? And the staff are well... amazing too!πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸŸπŸ¦€πŸ¦πŸ™πŸ¦‘πŸ—β˜•πŸ½οΈ πŸ’―
I have lived in Greece for several years. This tavern is the quintessence of real Greek food. Very tasty . I chose take-out but you can eat on the spot too. Cordial owner. I highly recommend.
I love Greek food! And it didn't disappoint. Tony is epic, love him! With two staff down he was efficient and wonderful. Made me and my mum feel welcome. Will be coming back.
My first visit and amazed by the quality of the food. We had meze which caters for the largest appetite. The dips were first rate as were the meats, halloumi, and calamari. We did have an opportunity to have a quick chat with the owner, Tony. Apparently the loukanika (Cypriot sausages) are specially
Great food, great service, kids and family friendly. The team is very lovely, kind and keep a great atmosphere
Tried this place for the first time and I can honestly say the experience has been nothing but exceptional, best Gyro I’ve had in my life. It’s a real taste of authentic Greek food, come and try for yourself!
