On Saturday afternoon after a long sleep-in we decided to head towards Spitalfields Market for a spot of shopping and lunch. I was in the mood for something light – we’ve been eating out so much since arriving in London that I just about roll to bed each night – and spied Pho Vietnamese opposite the market.
Awesome food I've ever had .. very healthy, quality food and quantity is more than enough. Been here quite few times now , the place is busier as the food is good. But worth waiting .
For a Friday evening bite to eat, we decided to sample Pho - Vietnamese cuisine with multiple branches in London.
For our starters, we picked out the Mc chiên giòn (fried baby squid) and Cánh gà (seasoned crispy chicken wings with sriracha dip). And THEY WERE AMAZING. The wings were wonderfully seasoned and meaty, and the squid was just wonderful. I was completely sold on Pho by the starters alone, to be honest.
The pho main course itself was pretty huge and very tasty. I chose the Prawn pho with chicken broth, and it was lovely and flavoursome - full of soft, well-cooked noodles. I did struggle with eating it slightly until I had my technique in check though... The portion size was very generous and I ended up taking some home with me - Pho also have a takeout counter upstairs so you can grab some on the go.
The service was great too - despite having a sore throat and basically having lost her voice, our server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pretty lively on a Friday night, but we got a table immediately and were served quickly.
I'm totally sold on Pho and will definitely be heading back very soon!
Buzzing with people chatting here and there.
Food was fresh and typical Viet. It felt a bit too fresh, in a good way.
Good and classic options. Tried 3 different dishes, all had good taste, lacked salt, but fresh (again, i know).
Not reconmmended for groups larger than 4, will get really loud and tight.
Good for a casual meal with a friend and it's basically more about the socializing rather than food here.
Dan is happy.. So happy Pho have an outpost in the East now! I was in at least twice a week when I worked in Soho, but now work in the East, so very pleased. They have the most amazing noodle soups in town in my opinion, and always ensure a wicked atmosphere. Go check it!
Super tasty. I've had Vietnamese, but had never had Pho before (here or anywhere else) until I went to this place recently. I had the steak and meatball pho and it was excellent. I've been shunning the noodle soups until now, they just didnt sound like a good meal, but this was so nice, and really filling I feel like ive been missing out all this time. Will definitely go back.
I ordered phở nấm rơm (three mushroom pho or rice noodle soup) – enoki, shiitake and button mushrooms @ £7.95, served with a separate plate of fresh herbs to add to your own taste. The pho is made from stock that apparently takes 12 hours to prepare, so it’s bursting with flavour. And only the highest quality ingredients are used, fresh every day. While that all sounds nice and healthy, the pho is served in a generously sized bowl and is incredibly filling.
I went to Pho a couple of weeks ago with a good friend on a lazy Saturday visiting Old Spitalfields Market. We headed from Liverpool St with the full intention of eating elsewhere, but when our afore-chosen place seemed fully booked up we decided to plump for an unknown cuisine to us.
I know having to go elsewhere than you planned is not generally a good precursor to a meal but Pho didn't fail to impress. Though small, there was character packed into every corner. As well as a friendly waiter in every nook and cranny.
Our order was taken swiftly, and our delicious cocktails arrived just as fast. I do recommend the Phojito for someone wanting either a delicious cocktail, or something to pep up a mild hangover on a Saturday morning. The Iced Tea I was not overly fond of, it had an underlying taste I couldn't quite put my finger on - but was drank nevertheless.
We had pork spring rolls with a DELICIOUS delicious peanut sauce. I mean super delicious seriously. And I also had chicken Xao, which was not only an easy eat taste wise, I was also able to use my chopsticks!! Exciting stuff I KNOW.
Anyway, all in all I personally think the value for money here is excellent. I'm not an expert on Vietnamese by any means, not even a novice, but I know a delicious meal when I eat one, and this was a corker.
I was in the spitafields area taking pictures and i sort of stumbled upon PHO. I ate some spicy chicken Pho and i quite liked it. The flavours were quite varied and as promised by the waiter was quite spicy and very filling!
Now I’m not one to choose Vietnamese food for general stubborn issues I have, but ended up going here with a group of friends. To explain just how bad I am with Vietnamese food, I can’t even remember what the name of the dish was (which is why I have attached a photo!).
But… it was good! I wanted something meaty and the thought of a soup bowl of sorts did not make me a happy bunny, but boy of boy was I in for a surprise. Even though the meat I craved for came out of a soup bowl, it was meat I could actually chew on, instead of small tiny bits between the vegetables! The spices (can I call it ‘spices’ for Vietnamese?) absolutely surprised. If only I knew the name of the dish!
One more Asian chain in London, but with a Vietnamese specialty this time! The interior has nothing Asian as it looks more like New York style with the red brick walls. The staff is not Asian neither but local. But most important is that the cuisine is good, with generous portions. I would recommend it to anybody who likes this kind of food.

Pho is a fairly new restaurant, which serves Vietnamese food. The menu is very typical and the food is quite good. The restaurant is small with tables very close to each other.
I have tried their Spring Rolls, Hot and Spicy Soup with Chicken and Tofu, Vietnamese Chicken Curry and Tofu Fried Flat Noodles.
My absolute favorite here is the Hot and Spicy Soup, its very rich in flavors and the quantity is very generous. This soup comes with noodles and tofu/chicken/prawns of your choice and they provide you with red chili, bean sprouts, coriander and lemon on the side. After combining all of this, what you get is a wholesome hot and spicy noodle soup.
In need of a quick, healthy and filling lunch, Vietnamese is ideal. While the hub of most traditional vietnamese restaurants can be found in Kingsland Rd, it's is a bit out of the way (for us). For a working lunch, we were invited to Pho, their latest opening in Spitafields. Pho has been around since 2005 and has 6 restaurants in London now, and set up by an inspired British couple their mini empire has grown. Clearly they are doing something right, it was packed out on a Thursday lunchtime, hardly a table to spare. Right near liverpool street station, this really is an ideal location.
The exposed brickwork decor is rather too chic and trendy for me, but maybe it's a good thing my tastes lie in food. The options here are simple, pho, bun noodles or curi. It didn't take long to choose, going for the name sake with Pho Tai Chin (steak/brisket), and Bun Tom Hue (spicy with tiger prawns). For starters we shared some chicken breast summer rolls (Gu Con Ga), which for me were a bit bland, which the great peanut sauce more than made amens for.
Service was good and weren't left waiting long before our soups arrived. The Bun Tom Hue was just what the doctor ordered, literally. Coming of the back of some quite severe man flu, this cleared me right up. Before you begin tucking in, you are offered a paper bib that the NHS would be proud of, seems like it was needed the state it was in by the end, I'm clearly not the most majestic of eaters with these soups. It's a nice touch to be given a side herb dish of mint, thai basil, coriander, lime, chilli, bean sprouts, and sawtooth herb. They were all really fresh, not a wilting leave in site, something that can so easily go astray.
While it's nice, it isn't offer anything that is distinctly remarkable but it is a great option to get some quick food that is tasty and healthy
During our trip we've been twice in Pho on Brushfield St. and with pleasure I will come back next time! Very good food, friendly staff and magic place. I tried 2 Classic Vietnamese noodle soup (Beef combo and the next day king prawns), both delicious. Very good choice is with herbs and additional chili on the side so you can do it as hot as you want :)
We love Marta the manager - she was more than hospitable and took her time to explain everything and recommend the dishes for us, which we were totally undecided but with her help with big smile that was a good choice! We enjoyed also rolls for starter and sorbet for dessert with vietnamese coffee. Thank you Marta!
This restaurant is a peaceful escape, even during busy times. Their Chicken Curry Pho is a flavour explosion. Generous portions at great prices, yet surprisingly healthy. The attentive service and delicious starters, especially the spring rolls, make it a must-visit.
A very atmospheric place with tasty Vietnamese Pho. We love this network in London. And ordering their food often for delivery.
Great Spicy chicken and spicy beef brisket pho ;) highly recommended
It was my first time trying Pho out, and I could not have picked a better place! No one recommended, I was simply passing by and looked inside through the windows, it looked cozy and clean, so I walked in. The hostess was incredibly kind, got my a table for one and explained how the menu worked, even got me a bib so I would not make a mess of myself.
The waitresses were super helpful, friendly, efficient and lovely. The food, well let’s say I will have to add Pho to my diet ! the prices are adequate and the place is comfortable, friendly. Coming back soon!
Great customer service overall from all staff. Most specially Scarlett and Doina, thank you for looking after me! Definitely recommend for you to visit, besides from the service nice food too! :)
Food is absolutely amazing here. The staff are always friendly and always offer top up our drinks and ask if we’re enjoying our food etc. lovely atmosphere too

Food is good, but someone spilt a glass of Fish Sauce over and wasn't cleaned for a while. It smelt strong and unattractive to me whilst eating, since I'm Vegan too.. but for vegan options, it was good. Good service, but took a while to clean the fish sauce.. but all in all, friendly staff and tasty authentic Vietnamese food 😋
Tad crowded and noticed a few cob webs today needed to go the journey but nothing most people would spot 🫣😄 food was absolutely incredible, service was very friendly and professional, reasonably priced as well, would definitely recommend!
The crushed pepper fresh from the kitchen and warm hearted service for my Pho Tae made a Vietnamese classic even more nourishing!
Lovely dinner tonight, thank you! Delicious food and really friendly staff from the welcome all the way through until leaving the restaurant. Loved the baby squid, seafood spring roll and of course Pho Chin!
Cool, small place. Really nice atmosphere. Super cool waitstaff (the lady with short blonde hair and glasses is super awesome! Pay her more!).
The food is legit. I lived in Vietnam for a decade and love Vietnamese food. I'm not super picky, though. That said, flavor and presentation are amazing here. I have zero complaints. They have tons of vegetarian options and they also pay strict attention to food allergies and what not.
It's always busy on weekends, so use their website to book if you can. It's okay to roll up and ask for a table (which is a rare thing in London), but you'll have to wait for a minute.
They have pretty on-point music usually (The Police, Iggy Pop, The Pixies, Lou Reed) and the atmosphere great for a date, a chat after-work, a family meal or a treat for yourself (I often see folks eating alone here).
In summation- try this place, you won't be sorry. It's great!
Amazing as always. Love the food and the friendly atmosphere. My go to order is spicy chicken noodle soup with pho noodles.
Ernesto was amazing. Great service!!!!
Not only was the food terrific (and I’ve eaten Vietnamese food on three continents) but the staff was professional and friendly. They made dining a fun experience and remembered us from eight days before AND our orders. I was very impressed. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend Pho. We were only in London for a week, but we made TWO visits to Pho. 😁
Great restaurant with amazing food!
Big thanks to Ernesto: His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to understand our preferences and recommend dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. His attentive and caring service throughout the dinner made us feel like valued guests.
Great food and an amazing service.
I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone.
This place is nice and cosy with very professional, friendly staff.
We had a nice selection of food and everything tasted delicious!
I will be coming back for sure.
Thank you.
Our server, Martyna was always smiling even when the restaurant was super packed and difficult to navigate. Exceptional service and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
Highly recommend!!
