Places to visit with my friend Ashish and my cousin it was an amazing time to spend here we have lot of varieties was of good taste and having the perfect ambience and just well-dressed and structurally cube with latest facilities
One of the best, if not the best Jazz place in London.Very recommended for a special night with friends, family, or lover. The food is really great, as well as the drinks. They have a very large Whiskey variety to try.

Great for drink with colleagues/friends!
But also great burger and sweet potato fries. If you come for lunch during the week it is a very relaxed place compared to other lunch options around canary wharf.
If anything, I find that Boisdale is in a way fitting to Canary Wharf, and gives me the sensation of what I would expect to be a Gentleman’s Club. Not that it’s very far off – the ratio of men to women is quite clear in that regards here, but I mean it in a nicer way. There is certainly something very Chicago-esque (talking about the musical) about this bar.
For once, me and my friends were dressed for the occasion and oh my, what a night it was. Breathtaking view, ethereal ambience, courteous waiting staff, food so good, I felt I hadn't eaten in ages and to top it all off, a live Jazz performance. The chicken pie I'd ordered was baked to perfection and had a rich filling, the breads and mashed potatoes were as good as they come and all this was enhanced even further with the choice of English & Dijon Mustard and Horseradish sauce.
Fab night, great food, lovely wine and great tunes. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful Scottish Resturant! Jazz band plays add you enjoy a fine dinning experience. Great steaks, Haggis, superb desserts. Service was slow, but the management stepped in to lend a hand to the uninterested waiter.
Fantastic steaks, good music and nice to have a drink before dinner on the terrace
Jazz and fine Scottish Food at Boisdale Canary Wharf: Cabot Square, Canary Wharf is just off the main shopping area and as such has a slightly quieter, classier feel... Boisdale itself runs across two floors of a large building running the length of one side of the square. The first floor grill has a cigar terrace and open area for drinking as well as a grill for slightly less formal dining. Upstairs the formal restaurant is large with a decent sized stage area at one end and pleasant window tables overlooking the square. And a very large whisky bar! The Jazz starts at 9pm and there’s a cover charge for the music, so if you don’t want to listen you need to eat early or downstairs. And, that’s my only real question about the place.
Boisdale Canary Wharf (BCW) is a mega-venue, there's no other word for it. Notice too that we say 'venue' not 'restaurant' for BCW is about so much more than simply food, though for the foodie purist, this might not be welcome news. So what exactly is Boisdale? Here's our quick guide. First, Boisdale offers three venues in London: Belgravia, Bishopsgate and Canary Wharf. The fact that Bishopsgate is 'The City' and Canary Wharf is 'the new City' suggests in part a focussed approach to the expansion of this group (as it is rapidly becoming) and might hint too at their target market. Second, there's a Scottish thematic to the food and the venue with a preponderance of tartan in both decor and staff dress should you forget. There's Scotch whisky too. In fact, BCW has a 12 metre long bar stocking over 1,000 malt whiskies which has been described as the most extensive collection of Scotch whisky in the world (we describe it as heaven). Third, as already noted, it's a lot more than a restaura
Visit during grouse season and you will be treated to one the finest examples of delicious game bird, although the Roast venison with garlic snails, girolles & mushroom purée will also satisfy the Bear Grylls in you. A selection of impeccably sourced and perfectly cooked steaks complete the menu. If you’ve managed to keep some room for dessert, don’t expect any respite for your waistline, as rich Bitter chocolates tarts, Baked bourbon vanilla cheesecakes and Sticky toffee puddings vie for your attention.
It used to be so easy. The rule was, unless you could help it, you avoided Canary Wharf completely, and left those windswept concrete canyons to the suits and skirts who worked there. Even today, hardly anyone is traipsing around its soulless "streets" out of choice - you're there because you have to be. Recently though, if you have found yourself unlucky enough to be in Canary Wharf and out of the office long enough to enjoy a lunch or dinner, the choice is no longer simply between the nearest Pret or Eat, Cafe Rouge or All Bar One. The place still has as much style and charm as a multi-storey car park (and plenty of truly awful restaurants still do a depressingly good trade), but there is a slowly growing number of fairly decent places to dine, even if they do all somewhat conform to the city-boy stereotype. The latest branch of Goodman , which opened here last week, should find a very appreciative audience for its premium steaks and wine list, and despite not enjoying everything I a
I recently tried this place for some Scottish taste and had a lovely time here. The food was excellent, especially the steaks and Haggis which were cooked to perfection. The service was a little disappointing but the food and ambience made up for it. The ambience was quite lovely with a live band playing in the background and a beautiful decor. Defnitely coming back here, and you should try it too!
My first visit to this place was only average. On my second one, however, I went here with some friends from my workplace. We decided to begin our night with a few drinks at the bar which turned out to be delicious. On being seated, we experienced impeccable and quick service by the staff. The food was a delight as well. Definitely recommended now!
We had visited this place previously and were delighted enough to pay a second visit here. Seating is comfortable and the band playing there is fantastic. Coming to service, one of the best! The staff is knowledgeable and serves in correct intervals which lets you enjoy the meal. Definitely coming back and recommending!
I have visited the restaurant on multiple occasions and have been impressed by its consistency and professionalism on both accounts. I love the atmosphere here as it is both lively and fun. The food is delectable. They have an elaborate menu with a lot to choose from. The drink are also superb.
I came to visit this place quite late in the evening one day to have a late dinner with my partner. I ordered the filet, and it tasted really nice and was perfectly prepared. My partner ordered the sausage, which he found to be ordinary however. The cream spinach was ordered next, and it took two tries to actually place an order, but the spinach was really tasty.
We were in a group of eight people and we went for their set lunch with wine costing forty-five pounds per person. They served a glass of sparkling pink wine which was very refreshing and nice. Prawn starters were delectable. Live jazz music was playing in the background. Staff was attentive and efficient.
This place caught our attention when it was listed as one of the top whisky bars. To begin with, i reached the bar alone and received a very delighting and attentive service. The selections are extensive and interesting. On another upside the prices are quite reasonable considering other places around!
This place is amazing for some great Scottish cuisine. The food here is absolutely delightful. The staff is quick, efficient and friendly as well. The decor here is very elegant and classy and reminiscent of rich times. The atmosphere is quite comfortable and relaxing. I will recommend this place to everyone.
This place is heavenly for all the steak lovers who like their steak with some beer to go with it. The meat is beautifully marinated and perfectly cooked. It melts into your mouth and you get an amazing culinary experience. The other dishes in the main menu are also delectable.
We were assigned a French waiter who knew his work very well and happened to be completely to the point. His aura complimented the entire atmosphere of the place. He attended to our drinks and cleaned our table at regular intervals but managed to be non invasive. The food was very good and the atmosphere quite formal. We did have to wait quite a bit for our bill though. Worth a visit.
This restaurant has four branches in the country and all of them have consistent, traditional and authentic scottish cuisine to offer. The place is located in alleyway and atmosphere here is very relaxing and interiorized with dark red painted walls. The Place is quite interesting and inviting. Surely revisiting and recommending to all! Do visit!
The things I love about this place is their live music, Scottish food and amazing cigars. The place also caters to an open terrace and an Oyster bar and grill. The dishes we ordered tasted amazing and the staff was quite friendly as well. We visited this restaurant at rush hours, so we had to wait for a while before we were finally seated.
This place is brilliant and has something to suit everyone's needs. If you are on a budget, you should try the Jacobite menu, it is good value for money, and everything is so amazingly delicious too. the ambiance is nice, with some live music, and the drinks. Would go back soon.
This place has three really nice and amazing Scottish restaurants, and we recently happened to try this particular outlet. We had the best seats in the restaurant, located quite close to the stage. We first visited the bar to have some cocktails, and the bar has a really lovely display. The cigar store almost enticed us to smoke, and we enjoyed our drinks from the lovely terrace. We took the seats after our drinks, and the live music was really beautiful. The staff was efficient and disciplined, and while the food was brilliant, the wine even better. My poached egg was a little off-putting, but otherwise it was all a sumptuous feast. I was given complimentary dessert as a compensation for the egg. My partner's dinner was equally delicious. The live entertainment and the lovely service included, it is a brilliant place to spend an evening.
This place is brilliant. I went with my brother who told me all about it as he works in Canary Wharf. We met and went up in a lift and it opened on to a bar with a balcony in the middle was a massive fish bar where you could pick out seafood that all looked delicious.
That wasn't why we went though, we headed straight for the self proclaimed "biggest humidor in Europe" this was a while ago, it may not be anymore. We went into a little holding room and spoke to the guy who worked there who took us through to the cigar room, there was no lack of options and people even has their own trays in there to store cigars, that's seriously yuppie!
Anyway we selected a cigar and the cigar guy asked if we wanted it loose or tight and proceeded to squeeze a load until he found one just right. He told us we could go in the members area of the balcony as it was quite and took us out there.
We told him we ha come for cigars and whisky and he smiled and disappeared returning with a whisky menu that would of taken all night to read. He suggested a few that went with the cigars we had picked and brought us some golden water of life!
The whole experience was brilliant and that was only going in for a drink, even though we didn't go upstairs and eat, the food I saw looked and smelt delicious. We had a quick look before we left upstairs and the live jazz and meal looked like it would be a really good night out.
The only downside was we had a whisky each and 4 cigars (two to go, our night wasn't over yet) and it was about 60 quid each. Although I would happily go back, it could never be a regular haunt unless I had a lottery win!

Live music, cigars, and Scottish food. The financial district boasts many exciting places to dine. Boisdale is lucky to have 3 floors in Canary Wharf and even has an outdoor terrace.
My friends wanted a low fuss quiet meal with somewhere new to try. My friend “V” suggested Boisdale there’s also other floors such as the oyster bar and grill, restaurant, whisky bar, cigar terrace, Cuban library and shop.
Cigars cemented to walls and the place had an Art Deco feel throughout the whole venue. It was an exceptionally busy night with many people dinning.
I wanted a simple meal and opted for Boisdale lobster club with thin cut chips. It consisted of a grilled sandwich with lobster flesh, eggs, and lettuce, tomatoes clubbed together. I must say the lobster meat was a lot tastier and fresher then what I had over at burger and lobster. The lettuce was nice and crispy, and vegetables were fresh. The thin cut chips were lovely and golden with a slight crunch. It really filled me up.
I am a regular at Boisdale pub and many of my Friday evenings have been spent here - what brings me here so often is their enviable collection of cigars. I am told that they have a wide array of whisky on offer but personally I tend to stick with beer and the occasional red wine. Never had food at their restaurant so can't comment. Nor do I think I'll ever eat here, just the experience of standing in their terrace, smoking a cigar is enough to draw me back, time after time after time...
Boisdale in canary wharf is a very welcoming restaurant serving cigars, drinks and steaks under one roof. It is one of the places you could recommend for every occasion. Most notable mention is the drinks menu which seems to be as thick as all the harry potters books combined. The ambiance is very relaxing, although they could work on bar seating. The cigars seem very popular with the canary wharf banking crowd. The food on the other hand could be a lot better. There have been times when we have been served cold food(yes you read it right, cold). The staff sometimes seem helpful but I have seen them to give you a cold shoulder.
Overall, I am a regular visitor and hope you have a pleasant time there too.
Nice high end bar and cigar place in the heart of canary wharf - we often go here for a Friday after work catch up with friends - a few beers and a good cigar is a good way to kick off the weekend. Boisdale has a very good selection of cigars from reasonably priced to very expensive. Boisdale also has a large seafood restaurant, but I have never been there.
I have become institutionalised, institutionalised at Boisdale! In one of the regular visits to the first floor bar and cigar shop, we were chatting with the very amicable attendant in the cigar shop about the lovely sunshine that day and the great view the balcony there has to offer. He said that he thought it was a crime to waste such a prime real estate for sunshine that is bestowed upon London for not more than 3 months a year. Well those who frequent here would strong disagree. Watching the sun set with a cigar and fine scotch and let time slip away is simply priceless.
The other Boisdale chains are generally small and cosy, but the canary wharf branch if surely off the league. The first floor has the bar and humidor and members only smoking area. You can definitely find cigars much reasonably priced at other places, but its like buying popcorn at the cinema – you pay for the package. The bar can often be packed but there is sufficient space in the balcony if the weather permits. The whiskey collection is enviable. There are options for every pocket, from the exquisite to the regulars.
The second floor houses the restaurant. It’s often packed and vibrant with live jazz playing. Whatever the budget, you can always find something to fit your wallet – that’s as honest an opinion as you can get from an institutionalised person.
There are two types of meal that you can have at Boisdale of Canary Wharf. The first is the economical one, where you eat in the Oyster Bar and Grill and order one of their excellent Aberdeenshire burgers (like the Latin burger with Scotch bonnet salsa) for £8.25 with thick cut chips £3.50, washed down with a pint of Spitfire. If you want to push the boat out then there's the lobster club sandwich for a score. It's an excellent place for lunch, affordable, and in a great location with its outdoor terrace overlooking Cabot Square being particularly fine on lazy summer afternoons. The second type of meal at Boisdale is the no-holds-barred culinary fest in the a la carte restaurant, where you handover your credit card and concentrate on the food not the bill. In this instance what awaits you is some of the best steak in London, some of the freshest seafood and an incredible array of cheeses for afters. King of the menu for many is the 12oz fillet steak on the bone which costs a hefty £36. Most of the better regarded steakhouses in the capital solely serve bag-aged beef, that is literally sealed in a plastic bag for a period of time while it matures. And while Boisdale also serves some bag-aged beef, the fillet on the bone is dry aged for 28 days, producing an incredible filigree of fat in the cut that gives it a superior rich, savoury flavour. Top it with seared foie gras and black truffles and you're really cooking. There is in fact too much fine food at Boisdale to go into in one review. I could mention the caviar, the langoustines, the oysters, the lobster thermidore or the venison, but for me they have all just been mouth-slavering temptations on the menu. What I did have with my fillet on the bone were the scallops (excellent!), a side of Hispi cabbage, chorizo and caraway and a selection of 12 cheeses from Stinking Bishop to Auld Lochnagar, carved off, described and advised by the restaurant's dedicated cheese waiter. Following this very enjoyable lunch we adjourned to the downstairs humidor for whisky and cigars. You can't beat that! In addition to the lush menu Boisdale is an attractive place to dine, with high ceilings, colourful decor and a kind of Scottish-Cuban theme running through it (Sounds odd but somehow works). There is live music of an evening and a relaxing ambience by day that is more than a little reminiscent of the exotic colonial clubs of yesteryear, like Raffles. A place I would gladly make my second home.
The meat was delicious! I loved the fact it also has the opportunity to smoke a cigar outside. Service was good and the only thing I didn't like was the small high tables. We came in late (delayed flights) and still were able to grab some great food and enjoy our stay. Recommend this place for good food and a good cigar.
This is such a beautiful place, fine dining and live music on the upper level with the lower level having an outside terrace and bar.
Sunday roast has to be my favourite here.
I must add your never far away from live bands which is a bonus
As always the food and service are excellent. My only comment is the price of the drinks. The wine has a ridiculously high mark up, but I suppose you have a choice.
Special thanks to the person who served us tonight (Rado) he was very professional and made out night special with his attention to detail and knowledge of drinks. Best experience ever, will definitely recommend to anyone!
I didn’t leave a rating for the food as I didn’t get the chance to try any, but the drinks were very nice. Went with a virgin pina colada.
I went here for the Michael Jackson tribute show on the 10th of June And unfortunately I was sat right at the back, so I couldn’t see the stage very well but thankfully they had TVs for those who were sat where I was
Location is in a lovely puddle London as well. Canary Wharf is definitely worth a visit if you ever get the chance
I did not eat here but enjoyed an amazing Saturday night life. It was a Caribbean night full of fun and good music. The DJ talked a bit too much but all in all very great 👍.
Last night, I had the pleasure of visiting a local jazz club, and it was an incredible experience. The club had a cozy and intimate atmosphere, with dim lighting and a vintage decor that transported us back in time.
The highlight of the evening was the live jazz music, which was absolutely fantastic. The band was composed of incredibly talented musicians, who played with such passion and skill that it was impossible not to be swept away by the music. The lead vocalist had a sultry, soulful voice that gave me chills, and the saxophonist's solos were simply mesmerizing.
The club also had a great selection of drinks, including classic cocktails and a variety of wines. I ordered a Manhattan, which was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced.
The service was exceptional, with the staff being friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our server was happy to answer any questions we had and made great recommendations for both drinks and food.
Speaking of food, the jazz club also had a small but tasty menu of bar bites and light entrees. We ordered a few dishes to share, including the charcuterie board and the crab cakes, both of which were delicious.
Overall, my experience at the jazz club was incredible, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a night of great music, drinks, and food. The combination of the talented musicians, cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service made for a memorable evening that I won't soon forget.
Was a great time. Staff was very helpful when booking, and the service was fantastic.
It's a must to go to again.
I do prefer the other Boisdale's for atmosphere, HOWEVER we still had a good relaxing night and the rat pack, the reason we came to Canary warf were great. Drinks expensive, but just the same as the bars in Canary Warf - so don't bother with pub predrinks on the Warf
Decent place for cigars and drinks. I would visit if that’s what you’re looking for.
I didn’t eat but food looked good
Sweet place with such a lovely waitress!
Lina served us tonight and we are surprised by the professional freely service, yummy food, and affordable prices! Love it!!
Definitely will come back :)
Came here to work/see U.K RnB group 'Loose Ends'... the show was great!
The food and drink was FANTASTIC as was the atmosphere... but what really stood out for me was my server! (Threw my receipt away so I don't remember his name!)
Great knowledge of the food and drinks menu... although the bernaise sauce for my stake was the wrong choice (personally) always get the peppercorn!!! 😉
Thankyou Boisdale and definitely see you again soon!!!
Great vibes, nice tasting food, cool music and nice venue. Definitely up there on the price tags of the food and show but live music was 👌.
Only downfall I would say would be potentially sort out the speakers and microphone being used as the singer talking was hard to hear at times. But overall, good experience! Other half was happy!
Food was great. My steak which I ordered medium rare was medium well (and the flag on steak showed it should have been medium rare) but overall a pleasant night
Cool atmosphere. This was my 2nd visit and it did not disappoint. Nice choice of drinks and beverages, served professionally by wait staff. Very professional service from front of house to table waiters.
The live entertainment was fab. lively atmosphere and my guests and I had a really fun time.
Visit Boisdale, you won't regret it.
Very attentive, great drink selection and I should praise them for finding us (party of 10) a table as we'd turned up on the wrong night.
Rat pack night was fun with plenty of familiar tunes from a very enthusiastic trio.
The only odd mix, was the nightclub downstairs...popped in, had a looksi and left, not our bag tbh.
The show was outstanding. Excellent singing. The guys played their part to perfection. The interaction with the crowd & each other was brilliant.
The atmosphere was great, everyone seemed to be in a great mood and up for an enjoyable dinner.
