Lovely homely pub with plenty of events to keep it exciting and love the iron maiden theme among other quirky decor to differentiate it from a standard pub. Typical range of beers. Simple food menu done really well and at a good price, especially making use of the 20% food discount before 7pm with a drink order. Had the Jotil Ultimate burger and it was tasty, not too oily and held it's shape until the last bite.

I thought it was closed down. But for me it doesn't matter. I wanted to come to Stratford / Maryland to take a couple of pictures in front of the pub. Imagine how I was totally surprised when noticed on Google maps that Cart & Horses was opened. So together with friend came here to see the place where Iron Maiden had first gig ever. Iron Maiden has been in my life for a long time since 80's. I am from Poznan in Poland and I was lucky to see them in my city twice on their World Slavery Tour in 1984 and Somewhere on Tour in 1986. Seen them in really great times for metal. Last time this year in Nottingham. They are great. It was awesome to be here in Cart & Horses and drink good beer.

Great place to go for the music - there for 'Moving Pictures' (Rush tribute band) - packed with devoted fans (me too!) and nearly 3 hours of high class back catalogue Rush songs! Wonderful! Cart & Horses has been refurbished recently and is a fine place to drink and do music. Being part of the Iron Maiden story, they keep an extensive range of Ales from the Trooper brewery and Steve will be playing there with his own band in 2024. Come along and join the 'Horses crew!

A must for Iron Maiden fans. Didn’t eat, kitchen was closed while I was there, but there are nice selection of beers and cocktails as well. Thanks to the bartender, Ruth if I remember well, who gave us a lot of info about the place and let us visiting the concert zone. Thanks.

Fun pub with a great atmosphere. Full of Iron Maiden and West Ham fans, as totally expected. The bar staff were friendly even though it was so busy, and the drinks were good. Didn't eat, but the food looked amazing

Cool pub and venue! Would definitely go here for drinks, to look around and to see bands. The food menu wasn't very clear regarding allergens and the veg options didn't sound very appealing so I just loaded up on fries which were decent. I've been here a few times and the new venue space has been great, however I hope they invest more into it because it seems some of the equipment is needing replacing or fixing. The sound engineer on a recent visit was awful (it was not their usual guy) and shouldn't be working at such a prestigious venue. So normally, I love this place. I still recommend it to rock fans!

It's one of the best pubs ever. Staff was super friendly, and the Trooper burger is amazing. The birth place of the mighty Iron Maiden. Can't wait to get back some day...
