Great atmosphere and great quality food. I had the Puffy Duck, simply amazing. Extensive wine list, all the way up the spectrum from reasonable to expensive. Highly recommend.
One of my absolute favourite restaurants in London.
The service can be hit or miss but the food is seriously good. I always get the schnitzel and it is a huge portion with a portion of seriously good friend potatoes. Toni Tuesday always gets the calzone and apart from being a HUGE portion, raves about the quality.
Better than all that, two mains, a starter and a bottle of house wine comes in at less than 30 quid. Can't complain about that.
Seriously, worth the trip to Kilburn just for a S & B.
A real local gem
Small & Beautiful is one of those hidden gems in North London and my ultimate favourite date spot in the area.
It's cute and atmospheric with great service and even greater food, more than that it is amazing value for money.
I would recommend the calzone for the biggest and most delicious folded pizza you have ever seen or eaten (but you often need extra sauce) or the schnitzel which comes with some amazing garlic brushed fried potatoes. It's one of those dishes that is huge and yet you can't stop eating because it's SO GOOD.
If you are in the area, you MUST visit. You can fill your belly (and your wine glass) for less than £15.

Well worth a visit. I had an excellent pizza the other day that was as good as any I have had in Italy and with a glass of decent house wine that came to £7.95. Quick service and charming and efficient staff. Admittedly I haven't eaten off the pizza list (yet) but I find the negative reviews here a bit hard to credit.
Relaxed service, good food at a great price! Once, they were finishing up and the boss was on a break outside. He stubbed his fag, fired up the oven and made me a £5 pizza at 11pm without qualm!
I love this reatraunt it is quaint and the food is lovely an rarely anything wrong with it! I highly recommend it great food, great place!

Great food... I first went into S&B around 14 years ago when I lived in Kilburn, I took my girlfriend in there, we had a nice meal, we later moved away from the area and that was that.
About a year ago, I moved back the area, my girlfriend is now my wife, we strolled past, noticed it was busy inside and decided to give it another try. It's a little bigger than it used to be, however it still fits the description of small, and certainly fits the description of beautiful.
It has a very rustic feel to the place, and the menu isn't a fancy printed out menu, it's merely a photocopy on a piece of A4 in a plastic sheet, and it appears to be written in a black marker pen.. I think the menu is an absolute symbol of the place.. the food is so good that it doesn't need a swanky printed menu to pull people in, the food will do that.
The staff seem to have mastered the fine art of being attentive, yet distant enough to leave you in privacy. You will be presented with bread and olives when you arrive, and although it's a limited menu, there's something for everyone on there.
Anyone who knows me, knows I like a good steak, and trust me, if you like a good steak, this is the place for you.
For the bargain hunters out there, nip in before 7pm and you get their cheaper daytime menu, however with prices that aren't much more than a visit to a cafe, you won't begrudge and evening visit.
We've introduced quite a few friends to the place, and everyone loves it, the only downsides I can give is that it's very busy on Fri/Sat night, and you may have to wait in one of the nearby pubs for a slot.. oh, and for some reason they don't accept cards, so make sure you have cash!
We were thinking of going there last week but they were about to close. This time my husband booked a table and they were open when we arrived although we were probably the last customers. The manager kept the chef for us 🥹 The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, pretty interior (it matters to me), delicious food and desserts. And excellent service. The manager is very friendly and welcoming. Happy customers and we'll be regulars, one of my new fav places in London
I’ve been to this restaurant three times and every time I’m more pleasantly surprised by how incredible this restaurant is. It’s a hidden gem in London. Italian owner who is a fantastic chef himself and provides a wonderful service which is classy and relaxed. The food is beyond amazing. Genuinely everything is to try on the menu. We were a table of 6 and everyone could not believe how tasty their dish was.
Also we had a guest with serious gluten intolerance and they took it very seriously and made sure they were catered to and well fed!
Could not recommend this more to anyone. Looks quiet and shy but is real authentic taste of Italy in London and for a fantastic price.
We go very often. The owner is phenomenal. The place is really small and beautiful. Food is really nice, well cooked and hearty. Good selection of wines. Great for a date night!
Looong overdue!
Couple of months ago we have celebrated our son's Holy First Communion at Small and Beautiful.
The food was amazing, service outstanding, the overall experience left us longing for more dining trips to this place.
If you want to enjoy your day with friends or family but feel like at home, Small and Beautiful it's a place to go.
Highly recommended!

I lived close by when I was small, and we came here fairly often. When we are in London, we always want to come due to the nice atmosphere and food. I went back the other day and it was still lovely. Though I am a vegetarian now (I had a good risotto btw) I remember loving the sausage and mash. The owner recognised my dad and I, which was special after all these years. Would always recommend.

We had an incredible time at Small and Beautiful.
The waitresses were so lovely and attentive, they always made sure we had everything we needed and truly went above and beyond to look after us. The atmosphere was perfect with lovely decor and music.
The food was amazing, they talked us through the menu and worked with us to find the best dishes for our personal tastes. We ordered the 3 for 2 cocktails and they were all stunning- particularly the Small and Beautiful cocktail! The pasta tasted fresh and lovely, the dessert was lovely too. I'm a vegetarian and I was absolutely spoiled for choice.
If you're looking for great food and service at a really reasonable price don't hesitate to go here! I am so glad we found this hidden gem. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for an amazing meal and atmosphere.
