My Friend suggested this place so I planned to go to Bedales on Friday. I absolutely loved the place. It was LIT. The staff was very friendly and gave good suggestion.
Sweet little wine bar if you dont fancy the busy pubs nearby. A chilled spot with wine, charceuterie and cheese. Big tables for large parties, but interestingly good for couples too. Sit at the bar and watch the guys at work or just outside in borough market with a barrell as your table. House wine was good if not chilled enough, by the second round they had picked up on this and were apologetic. Ordered some snacks, the bread is lush with their garlicky houmous. We were lucky to get a table as its normally quite full up.
Lovely vibe down here by the market... Enjoyed some timbits with aperol spritz and prosecco. I recommend this place afterna few bites at the market
Great Wine. When I venture into Borough market these days, which is becoming less and less, I always stop for a glass or bottle of wine with some nibble to accompany.
The variety of wine is very good and with only £8 corkage on top of their store prices, not bad.
Many a good afternoon has been spent here. Shame about the market though.
This place is a perfect option for a great wine and food experience. It is usually packed and thus, I would recommend to book beforehand. The wine is of great quality but I felt it was a bit over-priced. Anyhow, the service is efficient and the staff is quite warm and friendly. The ambience is lovely as well. The food seemed quite tempting but we just had drinks and I am definitely going to have a meal here next time.
This place turned out to be a fun and interesting place for our little wine tasting extravaganza. I will definitely be returning here for more with my other friends. From the most expensive to the one you order with dinner, this place has all the variety of wine to offer to its clients.
Very conveniently located at a swanky place, this is a great little restaurant for wine-lovers and those who like bars. On the street level, there is ample seating for those hoping to enjoy a taste of the amazing wine collection that they have. There is also some seating towards the backside that has a very nice view of the busy market, and the basement has a lovely bar. The ambiance is simply amazing, and the clientele includes some very interesting people. The service is efficient, especially in the more relaxed time spaces. The fee for corking is a little exorbitant, especially taking into account other charges. But, it is a great little treasure.
The place is wine bar. The ambiance here is pleasant and simple and not very over-the-top. The place is also very well decorated and spaced well. The wine collection is extensive, but I ended up ordering 2 glasses of cheap red wine. The staff is very friendly and hospitable, and makes you feel welcomed. I had a nice time at this place.
This place is the perfect setting for anyone looking for post work wine and nibbles as snacks. This rustic place is a wine bar which has an ambience which shouts classy and elite. It may mostly be over crowded by tourists, however it does prove to be a great hang out spot! Yes, it is a little expensive but one does not mind paying through the nose as long as he gets a good service such as the one offered at this place!
I have started to really like this place, especially as a rendezvous option for catching up with friends. They have a really nice and lively atmosphere, with delicious wine and tasty meals. Moreover, they are priced very economically. This place is usually constantly busy, so it is advisable to arrive in time. And I cannot emphasize their wine choices enough. I recommend coming here, regardless of budget and taste preferences, because they have something for everyone.
On my way from somewhere, I stopped here to enjoy some wine. I shared one of the cheaper ones and it was delicious. The view from the bar was also fun. I had quite an enjoyable time here and I must add, the staff is excellent and helpful.
Although I didn't eat here, I had a good time.
The only problem with this place is that it can get crowded now that people are hearing about it. The food is always delicious, and freshly cooked. The service is impeccable too and the wine is always served chilled, just as we like it. This place is a great choice for a drink on a weekend.
It is a nice place to stop at if you want to have some wine. They offer a great variety of wines. I had a charcuterie which was amazing though I would recommend you to refrain from telling too many people about this place as it is quite small and you may have to face some seating problems.
The food here is great and so is the quality. It is definitely more apt for sharing.Tthe wine selection they have is amazing. They have the option by glass as well as by the bottle. The ambiance here is very enjoyable and relaxed. The staff is very quick and friendly.
The atmosphere here is very nice , the staff is very good and the food is up to the mark . What all can you expect in so much less money.
I went there yesterday with my friend and the treat was on me , I got so happy after looking at the bill.
Highly recommended place.
I dropped by at this place to enjoy a great meal and a glass of wine, and had a wonderful experience here. The place is situated at a very lively location and we loved the hustle-bustle there. We went ahead with ordering a cheese and meat platter with some wine, and thoroughly enjoyed it. They also made us taste some wines, in order for us to choose better, which was very hospitable. The service was great, with a very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
A nice little wine bar in the midst of a busy market. Nice place to go to late at night with a group of friends and just chill with a glass or two of decent, affordable wine. Very impressed with the place and will visit again very soon.
Whenever I am in this neighbouhood shopping, I stop around for some wine and a quick bite. This place serves some great wine, and with delicious sides to accompany. The variety is extensive and with the kind of prices it is available at, I plan on coming here again. It gives great value for money.
First time in London, and first dinner of our 3 days stay. I must say that we’ve set the bar pretty high here. Loved our experience !
The people working there were super accommodating and friendly. The food was very Spanish authentic, very tasty. Good wine
Great wine selection with good natural wine options too. The atmosphere was lovely, we had a selection of the cheese which paired very well with the orange Sicilian wine. I would say prices are within London range (6-8£ for a tapas sized bite, bottles between 44-70£ each on average) but we really enjoyed it and everything was made better by our waiter Timmy, available for advices for pairing food and drinks. We were able to bring our little sausage dog and were sitting in the lovely balcony area that opens up on borough market. Overall 9/10, pet friendly and great vibes and wine
Very cute place, it was great to sit at the bar and enjoy the orange wine. The sobrasada was also very nice. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Bedales is my go-to place in London!
Their crew is fantastic and extremely friendly - always lending a hand if needed (from making&amending reservations, to suggesting wines/food and remembering friendly faces!)
They have a lovely and enjoyable wine selection available, plus their food has always been great! Currently loving their new "Spring 2022" menu :)
A good selection of wine? Yes. A quiet space to enjoy it in? Absolutely.
What mere can there be said about a location that enables you to enjoy a good glass of wine (or a bottle) with your friends and family?
I can say with certainty that I will be returning.
Good option for wine and reasonable price too.
I love those potatoes and prawns 🍤
Can’t wait to be back when i am london bridge.
It is an Enoteca-style bar with many international wines & cocktails served with a variety of cold cuts & cheeses. The mezcal margarita was delicious, alongside a fragrant orange wine. Great ambiance with exposed brickwork alongside a buzzy atmosphere in the heart of Borough market.
I hadn’t been here since pre pandemic but always enjoyed it previously and did so this most recent time also. My friend and I shared a few dishes which were all lovely.
However I was disappointed about how small the wine selection was per glass. One of the reasons I used to like coming here was having the opportunity to try lots of wines by the glass. For example there is now only 5 or 6 red wines on offer by the glass. I ended up drinking a Pinot noir from Chile which wasn’t bad but wouldn’t have been my preference.
It was very busy when we were there and luckily we had reserved a table. The waiting staff were friendly but appeared stretched as it was hard to get their attention. I will return but I just won’t be rushing back. Mainly because of the change in wine offer.
Stopped in after exploring Borough Market for a glass of wine. They have a great selection of wine by the glass as well as bottles! There is a cute patio at the back that has you in the action of the market as well as a beautiful area inside.
