The flavours are well concentrated on dried fruits, figs, prunes. A very muscular wine but in the same time very elegant. The earthy finish makes it a good pair for wild mushrooms, truffle dishes.
The wine has a very elegant deep ruby colour. On the nose you find a blaze of dark cherry, plums, figs, dark chocolate and hints of tobacco. The palate is well structured. The tannins are present but very refined. Good concentration of dried fruit, raisins, leather and spice leading to a delightful long finish.
On the nose is bursting of black forest fruits character, sweet spice, hints of black olive. On the palete the tannins are polished due to the grape selection, high acidity, concentration of classic flavours of blackberries, dried plum, sun-dried tomatoes, Mediterranean herbs. Excellent pairing with delicious lamb chops.
