Really nice food! Well cooked and seasoned. I have never tried medium rare pork. It was so nice. You cannot tell it is pork.

A fantastic restaurant with great atmosphere, fantastic food and a great choice of wines and beers. The staff are friendly and very amenable to most requests. They accept walk-ins as well as advance reservations; service is always very friendly and quick... The staff are always happy to make recommendations. Ideal for business meetings or taking someone special...

I've been here so many times and it's always been a pleasure. The food is delicious and quite authentic, according to some of my friends who are familiar with the Spanish culture. There restaurants has lots to offer in terms of interior design and food quality - both on a very high level. The place is always packed for the dinner hours so make sure to make a reservation.

A regular dining spot for me. Iberian food at it's best, with a great selection of wines as well. Simple, good food. I tend to go for the Iberico pig and the pimientos to start. The restaurant has a great layout and is great for both lunch or dinner.

One of my favorite places in london : tapas are amazing, many variations on pork/ham, try the wine list. On top of this I love the modern take on wooden decor. Even the smell inside makes you forget a bit you are in london.

Love this place. Top notch food and wines, great for tapas for lunch. Not cheap but great value and never have a problem getting a table, even at short notice.

Pricey, no doubt. Nevertheless, this sophisticated and relaxing place will provide you with a great service and even better food. Straight off to the top of the list of the best Portuguese restaurants in London.

Tasty food. Served well. Shabby neighbourhood.

Amazing restaurant, perfect tapas. I could eat here everyday if it weren't for my weak stomach. The place is excellent and I can guarantee you'll have a lovely evening if you visit.

While Eyre Brothers is located in the Shoreditch area, a trendy and buzzing area, being nestled on Leonard Street gives it a quiet and unassuming backdrop. Having been fortunate to visit various Portuguese restaurants, Eyre Brothers food can be described as authentic and flavoursome while the atmosphere can be described as modern and relaxed - with natural wood and leather being staple components of the decor. The wine menu is typically Spanish and Portuguese featuring red riojas and white Vinho Verde, a popular grape in Portugal distinguished by its high acidity. Eyre Brothers list of Vinho Verde is good, considering the flavour of Vinho Verde depends on the grape varieties used. I highly recommend the mineral and subtly fragrant Alvarinho. The food menu features the staples of Spanish and Portuguese cuisine - cod, pork, beef, spices. The menu is a combination of starters, mains, tapas and petiscos (a variation of tapas). Eyre Brothers signature dish is their Sollomio Iberico (a thyme and pimentão infused Black Iberico pork fillet) which comes with tasty potatoes. Technically there is no traditional side dishes, but I would recommend the Fried Courgettes (with chilli, garlic and mint) that serve as a healthier and tastier replacement to fries. The service is cordial and attentive - without being overbearing. What is refreshing about Eyre Brothers is that the staff and food demonstrate a true love and genuine passion for Spanish and Portuguese food.

Nice restaurant on the edge of the city and Shoreditch. Some great wines to choose from and great service.
I think the menu should go back to its Spanish roots more then it does.

Nice place. Very good food! Except for the the Pastel de Nata (Custard tart) - that one could be much better... It is not cheap, but the quality was overall good

One of my favourite places to stop off for a drink. The bar is never too busy and its filled with mature crowd. So if you want a bit of class and finese, then here is the place to go. They also do great food which I keep forgetting to save the pics for. Very Spanish its food and wines, with the odd Portuguese thrown in for good measure. Tony the Manager is also quite entertaininy and as the DJ, plays some scrumptuous rare groove.

Lovely place to while away a Wednesday afternoon. Bar tapas actually filled me up. Super array of drinks behind the bar. Happy.

Having
done prior research on restaurants around the Shoreditch area. I read multiple
good reviews on Eyre Brothers. My friends and I booked a table for a friends’
special 30th birthday expecting to have a pleasant evening at what seemed to be
a lovely restaurant.

Food

My friends and I are far from fussy when
it comes to food (One is a vegetarian), we love good food and have eaten
cuisines from McDs, Nando’s, Pizza Express to Hawksmoor, Duck and Waffle, Sushi
Samba, Benares.

Viewing the menu beforehand I expected a
certain quality of produce especially for the price. Firstly, they only offered
white bread and did not have a selection of different kinds of bread.
This was not an issue at all but I thought I might highlight this as some
people are health conscience.

Starters between us we had duck foie
gras of which we did not manage to finish despite the fact we were starving.
The second starter Yellowfin tuna was over cooked and very hard and the
‘dressing’ was far too overpowering and could have been classed as a sauce.

The main course was an absolute
disappointment despite our waiter having a word with the chef in regards to our
clear disappointment with the starters. My friends and I ordered the king
prawn dish each (£14 for each prawn!!) accompanied by overly fragrant rice
which came in ONE bowl for both dishes and were we expected to share this. Not
only was this slightly confusing as we assumed another bowl would come out but
the rice was overly perfumed we could barely eat any of it. The prawns
themselves were of reasonable size however it was more of a starter than a main
course as we were served a singular a prawn each. I’d expect at least 2/3
prawns to suffice as a main, which would cost you an extra £28/42 – extortionate!!
The actual quality of the prawn was very good (not worthy) however it was
bland and it was served burnt. The menu stated ‘King Prawns’ plural. My
vegetarian friend had chosen the ‘Grilled Spring Vegetables (£16)’ this
literally consisted of; 1 spring onion, 2 asparagus and one artichoke all
burnt……

We did not bother with the dessert as
the experience we had with the starters and mains was a very disappointing one.

As for the drinks, you would think one
could not go wrong with drinks, again we were proven wrong. Do NOT get spirit
alcoholic drinks, as they do not know how to mix their drinks. If you are a
coffee fan I would not even go there, one word disgusting.

Service

The staffs were not attentive at all
even though the restaurant was far from busy and given that we were only a
meter away from the bar. We had to constantly gain their attention by standing
up or waving our hands, this we found absolutely outrageous given the service
charge was a shocking 12.5%!!! We therefore kindly asked for the service charge
to be taken off the bill along with the drinks. They decided to only take the
service charge off the bill… We then asked to speak with the manager who
charged over in a very aggressive and intimidating manner, chest out and leaned
over us sitting down. When we explained to him that the food wasn’t up to ours
let alone anyone’s standards he became very defensive and start shouting… at
this point we were all gobsmacked and were left speechless. The ‘Manager’ shouting
‘GET OUT AND DON’T COME BACK……….’ No problem for us as we would rather eat at
McDs than come back to this shocking place again. How a manager can speak to
customers in this manner is beyond me. I’m glad we did not have to pay a
dime; therefore anyone going to this place and are left as disappointed as we
were, my advice is to challenge the bill and you’ll probably walk away not having
to pay a penny.

My advice, stay well away from this
overly priced place, there are much more pleasant restaurants around the area!

Not as good as expected. I was excited about going to this place as the reviews were good (5* on Time Out) and the sample menu on their website looked interesting. When we arrived though we were told we couldn't order tapas in the restaurant, and when we moved through to the bar the tapas menu was significantly less exciting than that advertised. As a veggie I had thought at least a tortilla would be available, but it wasn't - and there wasn't anything to replace it! I plumped for fried peppers and 'soft ewes cheese and walnut bread' which was all I could eat, but the latter turned up as hard cheese with quince jam and no bread. hmmm. The wine was very good, but definitely won't be going back for the food when there are so many excellent Spanish and Portuguese restaurants in town to choose from instead.

Disagreeable. We once liked this place. Very smart interior. But that doesn't make for a good evening on its own. Food pretty good. But in truth over priced and very quiet, bordering on the empty. There are are lots of alternatives in this area. The biggest downside is the guy who claims to be the owner. Never have we been confronted by a ruder and more disagreeable man. Quite extraordinary. He makes Basil Fawlty look like Rocco Forte. Don't go here. Don't give him your money.

Cooking less ordinary. After two visits to Eyre brothers ( lunch & dinner) I wanted to write some lines about this place. Whilst there are many places in London, that delivers inventive Iberian influenced cooking the EB does it with style and panache. The portuguese influenced dishes are interesting and are prepared with the finest fresh ingredients. The Caldereda ( the fish stew) and the Grilled Mozambique Tiger prawns are the highlights of menu . The starters are also inventive and not only do they offer a finest selection of Jamon Iberico but also the Grilled Squid is noteworthy. The service is friendly and the wine list has everything from delightful £25 plus portuguese and spanish gems through to £100 fine spanish wines. The atmosphere when we went for luch was more muted but my most recent evening visit was very different with a great buzzing Hoxton / Shoreditch crowd. A great place to go after work with friends. Recommended.

All of the dishes were fine, with the Fillet of Iberico Pig being the best of the lot. But it wasn't a meal that sticks in my memory to particularly recommend.

Consistent & tasty food for a quick dinner with a small group of work folk or a pleasant dinner for two. With it’s wooden decor and sleek furnishing, the restaurant’s appearance and ambience is relatively upscale and corporate – atypical to the vintage nooks and urban crannies in it’s edgier surrounds. While there are a plethora of couples the place is bustling with businessmen. Service with smiles, our waitress Yeukai was super knowledgeable and gave us some great recommendations.

There's a point out there where the very unfashionable City gives way to the uber fashionable Shoreditch and Eyre Brothers has for the past decade operated on what must be the border. In an uncharacteristic club night for one half of the CC, the DSLR left at home given its bulk but the compact slipped in to my back pocket, my pre club filler was what the website describes as 'London's finest, authentic Iberian food'. Clubbing aside, there's clearly a need to investigate. The menu is rich in Portuguese offerings, but in addition to this, if you know in advance that you're coming, you can with a day's notice order Andalusian rabbit and rice, or Portuguese style whole roast sucking pig. As a last minute booking, we could opt for neither, but the menu still offered a wide range of treats. Initially, we both opted for the same: a starter of spatchcocked quail, cooked and then marinated in sherry vinegar, olive oil, raisins and pine-nuts, new potatoes and mint (£8) followed by a main of Gri

Sizzling, hearty and rustic. With a buttery tenderness that melts on the fork. I noted the lovely colours of the potatoes and the juices it were bathed in. A creamy beige akin to a flowing wedding dress. Like a blushing black pig wrapped in satin. The residual heat of the potatoes were fabulous. Heavily seasoned and I hazard a guess, that it is only made more complex by absorbing some of the lovely juices from the pork. A wonder to eat.

Amazing, great food, great service x

Disappointing experience as the food is not as good as I expected it to be. The tapas were either too oily or too salty. Service was slow due to small number of staff in a big venue.
