First night in London and I lucked into this restaurant. As a single woman diner, sitting at the bar in front of the kitchen was perfect. The chef was busy but still engaged in some chat. My waitress was very attentive, one of the best I’ve had. The food. I had the kale with oats to start, it was crisp and delicious. Then I had two perfectly cooked scallops with one of the most amazing horseradish sauces I’ve ever tasted. My main was the lamb. I’ve never eaten a better cooked piece! It was delicious and had a mint caper sauce, mashed potatoes and peas. With a carafe of white wine, my bill came to 50 gbp which I thought was very reasonable. I’m a vegetarian at home but decided to go with the flow, so to speak on this holiday. No regrets. If you are ever near Clapham Common, do yourself the favour of giving Minnow a try.

Great experience! I went there with some friends a couple of weeks ago and we had a wonderful time. The place itself is very tastefully decorated, creating a cosy environment. We were downstairs in the main room, facing the kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious. I had scallops for starters, lamb and coliflower as a main, poached pears and cheese as a dessert. Everything was perfectly executed. Service was excellent. I will definitely go back and highly recommend this lovely restauraant in the heart of Clapham.

Truly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The chef has an amazing talent for packing a multitude of complimentary flavours without overdoing it. A fabulous team working the kitchen and lovely waiting staff. Thank you Minnow for a fabulous evening and we loved that we could sit and watch the kitchen in full swing as we ate.

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Minnow. The presentation and quality of food was exceptional, and the service was warm and friendly. I hope to visit again very soon and try again the raisin and tequila ice cream!

Amazing place for brunch! Food was delicious and even better, management is incredible. There was a minor issue with our booking and when the manager realised he fixed all very quickly. Fantastic experience.

An adorable place for brunch, lunch or dinner. We enjoyed a cosy brunch and shared two dishes: The Veg Minnow with Poached Eggs accompanied by Portobello Mushrooms, Avocado, Spinach, Tomatoes, House Baked Beans and Chargrilled Sourdough. And the French Toast drizzled in Maple Syrup and topped with Whipped Cream and Mixed Berries. Both were delicious.

A lovely place to get brunch or lunch near Clapham Common. I came in for Sunday brunch quite early - which was a good idea because by the time I left, the place was full. I ordered a cappuccino and the French toast - both were excellent. The service is attentive as well. They do have a 12.5% service charge that is optional which is a bit annoying but since this is getting more and more popular in London, it’s probably time to make peace with it.

The service was excellent, and the carrot, orange, and ginger juice was truly delightful!! The only minor letdown was that the smashed avocado didn't taste homemade; it reminded me more of store-bought guacamole from Tesco. Nonetheless, it's a lovely spot, and this is just my personal opinion.

Post show at the nearby Omnibus Theatre we stopped for a bite to eat. Warmly greeted by the charming staff, good spread on the menu, nice Sunday Roast dishes, warm hearthy food served with minimum fuss and maximum pleasure. What more could we ask for? A nice price - which we got as well!!! Lovely place - will return (when I’m back in London)

Super cute cafe/brunch spot! Close to the tube with indoor and outdoor seating. Got the French toast and it was nice, drinks were good as well. They didn’t mind that we stayed to talk a while. They were v accommodating for special requests.

Tucked away in Clapham Old Town is this absolute gem of restaurant, Minnow. It’s family owned, the food is incredible and caters for all diets and the staff go over above! We tried the croquettes, vegetable tempura, olives, bread, cod, quinoa salad, potato dauphinois (WOW!!) and broccoli side. I’d go to this place time and again, the menu is seasonal and is often refreshed and the drinks are amazing. In short, go to Minnow!

Food is decent but nothing outstanding. We ordered the English breakfast, eggs royale and avocado toast. The poached eggs were overcooked unfortunately and the hollandaise sauce was too thick. The English breakfast was okay but nothing special considering the price

Went for happy hour. Had a table booked outside. We arrived quite early and were welcomed to sit anyway. Very attentive staff. We had our drinks refilled almost instantly. Friendly and great atmosphere. Cool inside too. Lots of interesting pictures on the walls. Clean toilets. Definitely be back again

I’ve wanted to eat at Minnow for a while and it did not disappoint! We came for a quick early dinner which our lovely waitress went out her way to accommodate (we were on a time limit). Food was super fresh and absolutely delicious - the pan fried squid was so good! We were all really happy with our food and the service was great. 100% go if you can, I’ll be back for brunch!

We took advantage of the Minnow Sunday Roast and BYOB option The Minnow is well situated opposite Clapham common. They have a fair number of outdoor seating and dinning tables. The interior is fairly cramped as there are a good number of dining tables. The staff were very friendly and helpful however as they get very busy they were a bit streched however we received very good service. We ordered both the Beef Sunday Roast as well as the Chicken. Both were very tasty as too was the well made gravy. The portions were ample and we all enjoyed our Sunday Roasts. For dessert we enjoyed the Chocolate Brownies with Ice Cream as well as the Lemon Meringue both desserts were very good. The Bring your own Bottle is an excellent idea and Minnow deserve a special mention for this great offer. We shall certainly be visiting again in the near future.

I’m a regular at Minnow. Usually for brunch or coffee. Today I had a wonderful lunch. Started with a Minnow cocktail - gorgeous refreshing taste. Then I had soup - my friend had mushrooms on toast. I had grilled sea bream and Richard had pollock. We ended with afogato, everything was perfectly cooked and delicious and the service was immaculate. We sat in the little conservatory at the back of the restaurant. So comfortable and cosy. I’ll be eating many more lunches at this perfect little restaurant
