I visited this place aa a part of my pub crawling mission. The staff is really helpful and courteous. I loved their smoked chicken avacado sandwich
Wandering in streets around Soho, for me, as a tourist, it was quite fascinating to see numerous bars and people chilling out, having drinks and sharing moments. Should be a really good area for a bar hop.
We took a couple of drinks. The hosts were really nice and kind enough to offer us to taste a few before selecting the ones we wanted.
A recommended stop if you are around Soho.
On my way from Oxford Circus last weekend to Sunday lunch at the Crown and Two Chairmen pub on Dean Street, I passed a fairly lengthy queue of folks bundled up and waiting to get a table at the Soho outpost of The Breakfast Club. With minutes of taking my seat upstairs at the Crown and perusing its rather choice selection of beer and thinking about what I wanted to eat, I already was feeling so much more savvy (and smugly so to be honest) than the curbside clubbers Iād passed moments ago ā most of whom were still probably standing outside on the pavement).
This post isnāt to slam The Breakfast Club. Itās a fine establishment with a quirky vibe and an all rounder menu (I can certainly understand its success and appeal ā and have never had a bad time at any of its outlets). But, cāmon. Youāre in the middle of Soho and lined up for that when thereās plenty more options to dig into?
My lunch at the Crown was ace, and I loved the upstairs dining space, which was all but empty at 1.30pm (things picked up considerably by 2.30 though with hardly a free seat in the house). Highlights? To begin with service was efficient and friendly, seating was comfy, and I got a kick out of spotting a couple of celebrities out the window walking down street (if making a reservation, ask for a table by the window looking down on Dean Street).
Food was tasty. Parsnip and honey soup with rye bread and butter (Ā£5.25) proved an ideal winter warmer to commence with, while Southern fried chicken (a wing, a drum and super juicy thigh with fries, coleslaw and house pickle dip, Ā£11) was an indulgent treat. A pint of Red Admiral went down like a dream with the chicken. Dessert was yummy too. My sticky toffee pudding (served with vanilla pod ice cream, Ā£5.50) was probably the tastiest Iāve ever had. A bottle of Tiny Rebelās Dirty Stop Out Smoked Oat Stout paired nicely with it.
The Crown is an easy venue to recommend for a leisurely Sunday afternoon taking easy in the pub and off the pavement.
Great Pub. A great place to hang out anytime of the day. Good selection of beers and great staff.
Great!. Great pub, great food!
A great spot for Sunday roast in central London! The Sunday Roast is delicious and reasonably priced for the area. The service was excellent and quick. They are very conscious about allergens, and there is a vegan option, although I didn't try it, my friends said it was amazing. I am looking forward to going again.

Proper #sundayroast in #london @thecrownandtwo that included Roasted Beef, Chicken & Pork Belly with all the trimmings aka Gravy, Roasted Veggies(Paranips, Carrots, Cabbage & Peas), Yorkshire Pudding, Stuffing, Pigs in a Blanket and Cheesy Cauliflower Mash. I'm full again just typing all that.
Thank goodness they were a perfect portion size for sharing. Alas, we had to skip the sticky toffee pudding due to no room š

The food here was hands down the best we had all week. The gravy was to die for but the Pie and sides didn't disappoint. Fish and chips were nothing short of great.
What was disappointing was the way we were served. We saw staff serving and welcoming other customers but never came to our table. Had to stand up to get us served. Maybe that what is expected at this place but it certainly didn't feel like it.

ā¤ļø A stylish makeover at this Soho stalwart.
.
The Crown & Two Chairmen is located on atmospheric Dean Street in historic Soho. The nearest Tube is Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square Tube is also close by.
.
This pub started life as The Crown back in 1736. It became The Crown & Two Chairmen in 1839, itās said to have been re-named after two sedan chair men stopped by for a quick bevvie having dropped off Queen Anne to have her portrait painted in a studio opposite the pub. The pub was rebuilt in its current form in 1929.
.
This pub has gone through a recent extensive refurbishment and the results are stylish, contemporary with some standout touches. The pub is set out over two floors, the ground floor is open plan with poser tables and a snug at the rear of the bar. Upstairs is a beautiful bar with sumptuous sofas, lots of seating and an elegant servery.
.
The beer choice was good and had a diverse mixture of Craft, Cask and familiar keg favourites. I had a pint of Estrella, my pint hit the spot but was a bit pricey. There is a traditional pub food menu full of British classics,
Fish & Chips casts £16, roasts are available on Sundays.
.
I was kindly invited to the relaunch party back in February, it was a great night and I met some fellow pub enthusiasts including the voice of pub truth @northlondonpints ,top fella. The team here were welcoming and friendly and really looked after all who attended.
.
@thecrownandtwo has been a part of the fabric of Soho for many years and with history attached. The pub looks great after the refurb, I especially love the upstairs bar. The beer choice has something for everyone, the food menu is full of British classics and the reviews are positive. I really enjoyed my visit here, this is a must visit next time youāre up The West End.

Great location.

Order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Awesome fish sandwich and good fries to complete the dish.
Very nice experience first time and recommend others to visit. The food is nice and the drinks are of good quality and a bit expensive but it's London. Very cosy inside and a nice atmosphere and gets busy with crowds. Very nice to go with friends and lots of options for food and drinks. Staff are great and good customer service and friendly.
Wow i have NOTHING bad to say about the Crown & Two Chairmen.
Amazing (affordable) food, great selection of beer/cocktails and amazing vibe!
Canāt recommend them enough.
The ambiance is lovely. Decor superb. Staff are helpful and on the ball. The Sunday roast is to die for, and not silly money. Then the entertainment, which was excellent. A very enjoyable evening. This pub is very well run.
