Would highly recommend checking Season out. The food is wonderful and their bread is the best bread I’ve ever tasted! Only reason that I didn’t give five stars is because I think the prices are a little too much for the size and quality of the food (even though the quality is great, I’ve had better for less in more central locations).
It's always a wonderful meal here. Ben's Specials are great. Tonight I had mallard with baked apples and a blackberry jus. Divine.
Great tasting seasonal food. My partner and I visited on a Saturday night. We weren't disappointed. Reasonably priced, great tasting seasonal menu with a wide range of wines. My steak was cooked perfectly and my partners smoked haddock looked (and so I'm told) tasted properly properly nice. Dessert; we shared a chocolate pot. Small but rich - perfect. Would definitely recommend visiting. We'll be going again!
The food is top notch and the staff is nothing short of amazing. We rocked in late on a Saturday night around 11pm and they happily catered for us, and took time so we could enjoy a lovely dinner. The aubergine is to die for and the meat was especially tender. It’s a small place but would recommend in a heart beat. Perfect for a one to one with your darling.
We went for Sunday lunch for the first time and we'll definitely be back. The roast and wine was excellent value. The potatoes and veg were freshly prepared, rather than maturing, which brought up the standard above pubs with bigger reputations locally. All in all tasty food, good value for money in a relaxed and understated restaurant which is perfect for Sundays!
Wonderful dinner. Where to start? The sourdough was amazing. I then had the whitebait, and got a pile big enough to fill me up. Luckily, I still had space for the mallard, which was extremely tasty. Service was great and they were happy to accommodate a fifth person at fairly short notice. V nice wine, too. Had been meaning to come here for years and glad that I did.
Better than average food. I had the pheasant, which tasted good but I was left a little hungry as the portion size was smaller than I'd like. The chocolate pudding was delicious, as was the bread. Staff were very friendly, even though the place was busy.
I'll probably go back, hopefully the main course will be more satisfying next time.
Season kitchen is a charming little restaurant serving simple dishes cooked beautifully and with high quality ingredients. I stumbled upon their New Year’s eve menu and was treated to a delicious feast which featured quite simply the best lamb dish and the best lemon tart I have ever eaten, and believe me, I have had plenty of both. The atmosphere is intimate, with a pleasant cosiness that is indebted to the home-spun decor, and there is a lots to like about the wine list too, from the classical to the more discerning stuff for those who like to ski vinously off-piste. I can’t help feel that the world would be a slightly better place if every neighbourhood had a restaurant like this.
Asked for a recommendation from friends for a family meal with my parents and got this place. Every dish I had was superb. Great ingredients cooked well with no over complication. The staff were very genuine and chatting to them definitely added to the overall experience.
Probably my favourite restaurant on Stroud Green. The food was fresh, seasonal and great flavour combinations. Especially the steak and the Romanesco broccoli. Prices were very reasonable. Good wine too, a plus!
