The atmosphere was cosy, and the buffet selection was pretty good, but some of the food was a bit salty and the price was quite expensive. It would've been nice if they had other selections like fruit, other desserts and some fish. It would be good if they had other fruits or small jellies for those who do not like cake.

We went out looking for a restaurant to eat at after a long day fighting crowds during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration. We settled in this place since I like Brazilian Barbecue. This is a very nice Brazilian Barbecue restaurant. The food is very good here. If you've never had Brazilian Barbecue before, it is, essentially, a buffet. However, instead of getting the food yourself, the food comes to you. Unlike other Brazilian Barbecue places I've been to in the past, this one doesn't have a buffet table for the sides. Instead, you order the sides and they bring them to you "tapas" style, as they said. It reminds me of Korean Barbecue where you order everything and keep reordering as needed. The waiters are very friendly and helpful when answering questions about the food they are bringing to the table. We tried all sorts of meat. Beef, chicken, pork and camel! Okay, only I tried the camel. It was salty. Not sure what it is supposed to taste like. We also ordered ice cream ahead of time for our 5 year old daughter. It was the only thing she wanted after the long day she had. Additionally, even with the ice cream (she couldn't finish it, it was a big portion), she ate some of the meat they brought over. Overall, a great place to eat.

It had lovely food, one of the best I have ever eaten in! Everything was perfect the whole time. The restaurant has extremely kind employees who are always pleasant and thoughtful. I will absolutely come back there to eat both extraordinarily delicious food and dessert. I was served by Allison who worked very hard to make sure we had the best experience possible! With all honesty imaginable I recommend this restaurant to everyone who is looking for a place to have a relaxed meal.

Really liked this place, I was not sure what I was letting myself in for, but I am glad I went to Preto, simple idea, eat as much as you want, and all the various meats are brought round and you chose what you want. You can choose particular cuts of meat, but this time round, I wanted to try a wide range. I would recommend doing one of the Sangria Pitchers, especially the RUM based one, wow! I will definitely come back to Preto when I have more time.

Good food and service, though there was one lady walking around with attitude but this did not overshadow our experience. Tbh there was good service from the main staff Philippe and the other gentlemen with the afro and the meat servers were enjoyable as well. Loved the drinks though, the pitcher was a bit expensive but had value but had a lot of sugar in it. Would deffo go again especially on the Wednesday offer.

A very lively Brazilian diner in a busy street. It has seating for over one hundred people, Inside and outside and also downstairs. Also private dining. Traditional Brazilian grill. Green card for more food, red card to say you are done. Has vegetarian menu and cocktails and wine.
Good atmosphere and food. Decent prices for London. The 24 bus stops right outside.

Came here with my boyfriend as we both craving some meats. It was a great decision because we loved everything. The lamb and beef mix, lamb and chicken thighs were our favourite ones. This place is not for small appetite for sure. Next time when I come again, I think I should fast a day before 🤣
Last but not least, the waiters and the servers are amazing and friendly. Which makes the whole dining experience impeccable. The only thing it can be improved, probably would be the quality of thr dessert.

The food was good, not all the meats where tender, they started with the lowest quality meats and at the end they gave us the good ones. The service was super slow, we started with the meat before the appetizer and many items weren’t delivered to our table. But overall was affordable

Perfect place if you like meat! There's no limit to the quantity and even the quality is good. You can also have pasta salads, vegs, beans etc. My favourites are picanha and the one with pepper. Really tasty!

Appalling service. My friend invited my family to celebrate my husband’s birthday, a day which should have been full of fun and happiness; however this was prevented by the atmosphere i received in Preto at Victoria. First of all the buffet was not up to standard at all, it lacked many tradition Brazilian foods and what was presented was extremely flavourless. Secondly my biggest issue was with a particular man who was serving the meat and cutting the meat. He was very unfriendly with an awfully miserably face who ignored us the whole night especially when we asked for Picanha (a traditional and specific kind of meat which hadn’t come to our table for a while and is one of the reasons we go to a Brazilian Rodizio). Finally when we asked him why he ignored us he was exceedingly rude and answering that "I don’t like people asking me for meat, whatever comes around is what you get!" Additionally when we complained to a female manager at the time, there wasn’t a straight response and she didn’t really care nor do anything about it, it wasn’t even a sincere apology. Moreover, the waiters would gather in the kitchen as if it is a social gathering where we would hear them joking and laughing instead of working. I had to ask for a can of Guarana from three different waiters until i actually received my drink. Honestly this is a place i will never visit again as this is not the kind of service you waste your money on and I’d also like to highlight, it is not cheap money. I expect the minimum of respect and politeness which was absent in this restaurant and the workers.

Food: Buffet is normal, nothing special includes pasta, finger food, salads, lasagne etc. Their focus is mostly on the meat, different cuts of meat, beautifully grilled - i found some slightly salted but that is due to personal preference.<br/><br/>Service: Fantastic service, the man who served us was polite, funny and extremely welcoming. Its people like him who make the place worth coming to!<br/><br/>Ambience: Lively with upbeat music in the background, great place to hang out with friends and chill out<br/><br/>Overall i really enjoyed the service and if you like meat (i'm Portuguese so my food pretty involves meat at all times!) then this is a great place to come to!

Stay away from this expensive trap. As a Brazilian, I can sort out good food from tripe. The salad choices are cheap, unremarkable and sad looking. The hot dishes are shameful: cold, tasteless and under cooked rice, beans and pasta. The meat is tenth to worth in the universe: low quality, tough and very close to unsuitable for consumption. The service is slow, sulky, contemptuous and dismissive if any criticism is voiced. And, it is expensive, particularly the sugary cocktails. If you pass the place, keep going. Worse than this place only Rico in Bayswater.

Disappointed. I was in PRETO about two weeks ago on Sunday. This was my last time! I was a regular customer until the last visit...Food was bad, I had to ask waiters about the meat , because they completely forgot about my table. I was waiting so long to get some meat what made me so stress already. ALL STUFF just disappear...They were laughing, joking with each other. Completely forgot why they were there.They was rude. I had to call them, and ask to cleaned my table and offered dessert for me. That should't happen!!So of the end i didn't paid a service charge and the lady which was a manager... she didnt even spoke to me and ask why i was unhappy. ANd when i left she dont even say goodbay thanks NOTHING!!! terrible behavior... I never gonna back there again im so upsad..

FRENETIC!. We were placed efficiently at our table and the process of serving was explained to us.<br/><br/>On four occasions the servers missed out people from our table who had their green cards upwards.<br/><br/>Our table was of mixed age customers and although the meat came quick and fast it was uncomfortable .We felt squashed in and it was all a bit ' Butlins'. <br/><br/>I have been to a similar concept in Miami but there the meats and salad bar were much better and the atmosphere was calmer.<br/><br/>This is not a cheap meal . With deserts (we thought they were included ! ) about £30 pp.<br/>It's not worth it. Go and get a good steak somewhere else!.

I had the worst service ever at Preto in soho. I been many many time at PRETO and always the service has been a rubbish the management worst ..... i been in soho about a month and a manager from Portugal (because thats how he said) "I'm portuguese" when i didn't what to pay the Service Charge because all the time we had to ask for something .....cuz didn't have waiters and the manager didn't want to serve us ... was a really important day for me and i was with friends .... this manager witch i don't remember his name said ''shouting "' that i had to pay the service and everyone was looking at me when i decide to call to the police but me and my partner we thought was better to pay and never comeback ....<br/><br/>So if i was you .... ill never ever go to PRETO .....

Really bad experience, I would not recommend it to anyone. I went to their soho branch for my birthday and although the food was good, the service received ruined all the experience. Our waiter was fine, although we had to ask several times for the drinks and the desserts took ages, but what was more disappointing was the way the servers with the meat skewers were coming to the table…<br/>I understand that they are in a central London location and they need to turn the tables as quick as possible, but we felt very rushed, even when the cards were in red the guys with the meat skewers were still coming and 'pushing' us to take some meat. My friend who wasn't having the meat option (just the salad bar) had to constantly say that he didn't want any meat. As a result we eat very fast and didn't enjoy the food at all. Also the table was in the middle of the restaurant, so it wasn't private or inviting us to be relaxed…<br/><br/>We went there to celebrate my birthday, we were a table of 13 and spend over £400 (£44 of which were service charge) and I feel that my friends and I had to spend a lot of money for a very bad service in return. <br/><br/>I wrote them an email and so far after a week and a half after I still haven't received even an apology from them! They clearly don't care about their customers and look only after the money. Rodizio Rico is a much better restaurant chain.

In my quest to find London's best rodÃ-zio restaurant, I met up with fellow Brazilian food blogger Rosana McPhee of Hot & Chilli and headed to the Victoria branch of RodÃ-zio Preto . For those not familiar with this style of Brazilian restaurant, there is more information in my earlier post on RodÃ-zio Rico which you can read here . As explained, rodÃ-zio derives from the word "to rotate" and the term is most commonly applied to restaurants serving barbecued meats (also known as Churrascarias). In such restaurants, waiters go around the tables holding skewers with large pieces of barbecued meat which they will slice at your table. Green and red cards are given to each diner, and these are used to let the waiters know when you have had enough, or decide to have a break. A fixed price is paid per person, which entitles you to eat as much as you like of your favourite dishes. I am really shocked to read the bad reviews on here! <br/><br/>My first time at Preto - Putney was november 2010... and since then I have been going back on a regular basis (average of once every 2 weeks). I tend to take all my different groups of friends and they keep asking for more! <br/>I am a Brazilian who has been living in London for the last 15 years. I have been to every single Brazilian restaurant in town and Preto in Putney is the only one that gives you a real Brazilian Experience. <br/><br/>The food is absolutely amazing. The buffet and the meats are wonderful. Tasty and yummy! A real taste of the real Brazilian food! Oh and when they start bringing all the juicy and tender meat? I can't stop eating!!!!! The service is top notch! All the waiters are very attentive and kind. They always ask if there is any special request and they will bring ot for you. In my case once, I was the only one at the table that liked medium rare meat... all the others likes well done... all the waiters made sure they made all of us happy! <br/><br/>I don't really understand people complaining about the price! I mean at the end of the day you have as much food as you can and as much meat as you can. At 19.95 a head it if a bargain! You can help yourself as many times as you want to the Buffet and then they will keep bringing the meat until you say STOP! Went to Preto for dinner with a friend .I have been to Brazil and having tried Rodizio restaurants over there.I can say Preto is a piece of Brazil in heart of Victoria.The feel of the restaurant when you walk in is you are instantly transported to a tropical country.Welcoming and friendly waiting staff , the latin background music makes the inviting athmosphere.<br/>The food was outsanding , perfect and real close to the authentic brazilian food .The meat was all cooked to perfection and waiters kept coming over .<br/>Drinks was absolutelly well done and service stunning.<br/>Preto is a place to celebrate the night out !!

Hot buffet. I visited this lovely restaurant last night with some friends. We had an amazing time and were made to feel very welcome and special even though they were having some issues with their electricity supply. The salads were very appetizing and fresh as were the hot dishes. The meat on the skewers was amazing and beautifully served. When it came to desert we shared three deserts between six of us and to be honest I regreted that!! I could have easily finished the big portion of coconut and chocolate cake by myself. The music was not too loaud, provided by a young guitarist, just right. The prices were very reasonable. For £20 you had a massive choice of salads and hot dishes as well as all the meat you could eat ( which was cooked to perfection). Finally, the tea and coffee machine was not working but as my friend insisted she had to have tea, David the manager arranged somehow for us to have tea which was very nice of him and to top it up, it was complementary :-)<br/>We went to Preto on a whim and did not expect to like it, we were very pleasantly surprised and we are going back again this weekend. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness, friendliness and outstanding service.

Cheat me !. I went to this rodizio in march, to celebrate my daughter's birthday ( she loves meat) !! Well, the restaurant is well located, so the decor is warm and welcoming ! We went for full rodizio: the meat was overall dry and the seasoning inexistent. The "passador" often missed our table, going straight to some celebrity girl that was seating in front of us.. ( obvious he knew that the "tips" would be worth at the end of the service, that's why the preference). I ordered for a "caipirinha", it was offensively diluted and for me it tasted like lemonade to be honest. My daughter had a "Brigadeirao" for desert , honestly it was hard like a rock !! such a shame !! They wanna cheat !! coz no many brazilians customers over there to take on critics. The biggest shame was the "picanha" ( rump steak), it wasn't for sure ,the original Cut of the Meat!!! not suculent and very dry ( as the brazilians knows "picanha" is the best and expensive part of the cow ) because it was served very often ! and none of the proper rodizios will serve "picanha" so frequent as they serve the chicken's heart and sausages. What shame !! but the staff was friendly enough to save the night !

No matter how hard I think about it, I just can't force myself to really recommend Rodizio Preto to you. It's trying so hard (and succeeding) on so many levels, but the whole just didn't quite work. I knew it was too good to be true when, scanning around, I came across Victoria's very own all you can eat Brazilian meat buffet...

Great Food. First of let me point out I'm not one for writing reviews but on the occasion i felt compelled to do so after reading mix reviews about Rodizio PretoI. I attended the restaurant with a few of my business associate on Friday, as were all big fans of Brazilian cuisine. My associate & I found the food to be cooked to a very high standard, the staff were very friendly, & despite negative reviews regarding the manager, I found her very helpful & pleasant. The atmosphere was very uplifting which made the place a more enjoyable place to eat, also great cocktails. I will be telling my family & friends to check out Rodizio. So on my last note, if you like good food do yourself a favour get down there & check it out!! why are you still reading, happy eating folks!!

Ignore bad reviews. I have been to the Putney branch many times. Every time the service, food and atmosphere have been excellent. The manager, Michelle, deserves particular praise. The rest of the waiting staff follow the high example of the management. I have also been to many steakhouses in Brazil and the food here stands up well by comparison. This place is like a breath of fresh air. I recommend that you try it.

Lovley evening. I went to preto putney on sat 29th jan for my birthday meal with a group of 20 people and it was fantastic .when i booked i was very clearly made aware of sitting times by the maneger so we arivied at 9pm to find that our table still had peolpe from previous sitting which was a pain as there were 20 of us waiting but the maneger aplogised and offered me a free cocktail to say sorry which was very nice .then 25mins later the group at the table were still there having been made aware that there sitting had now finished and we were waiting on the table , i felt so bad for the maneger as she was as nice as she could be but they just would not budge anyway when they finaly did leave the tryed to refuse to pay the bill claming the had been badly treated by staff when infact the satff couldnt of handled the situation any better . even when the police came the lady still refused to pay the full amount (how imbrassing for her family ) . i had a fantastic time food was wonderfull i really liked chili chicken but everything was delish only thing i would possibly like to see is some fish but it is a steak house ,drinks even better especialy a strawberry cocktail ( had a few but cant remeber what they were called ) i would really recomend i wil be going back on a regular basis all round 10/10 apart from the grummpy misrable lady that just went out that night to cause prblems for peolple get a life or stay at home !! thankyou preto for a lovely night especaily michelle and see u soon .

Visited the Putney branch and was seriously disappointed. The food was poor particularly the very cheap tasting deserts. This wouldn't have mattered so much if it weren't so overpriced. We were told by our waiter when we asked that deserts were included in the meal deal when they were not. When we queried the bill the manager was unbelievably rude, smug and unhelpful, it was really shocking. She accused us of lying and even insulted me as we left, in front of her other diners. Needless to say we won't be going back. There are some really great friendly restaurants in the area so don't waste your money here.

Not good anymore. I've been 3 times to Preto Putney. The first 2 times (October and December) were really great, but yesterday I was absolutely shocked. The buffet was a bit poor: no heart of palm, no fried cassava, and the cheesy rolls were well baked but had no taste. There was basically just 3 types of meat coming to the tables (every 5 minutes). Without seeing the chicken hearts after 1,5 hours waiting, I asked the manager if they had it. He said it was coming soon. Asked him again half and hour later, he said he never talked to me before. Then he came with chicken hearts completely dry and almost burned. I said it was too dry, and he told me he would come back with RARE chicken hearts (obviously being sarcastic). I said I didn't like rare chicken hearts, and he just left. Had to wait 30 minutes (twice) for my soft drink to come, despite the number of waiters not busy at all. Complaint to the hostess, and the waiter who took my order came to my table in a very rude manner, asking what was the problem. I said it was a problem to be discussed between the management and me, not between the two of us, then he gave me a pat on my back and said the problem was me. My friends were just as shocked as I was.<br/>I went there to eat something different, but next time I'll just go to a normal steak house. And now I understand why last year it was always fully booked, and now there's no queue at all... Really sad.

My boyfriend took me to this restaurant at the weekend and i just want to say what a fabulous time we had there.<br/>Firstly I had booked a table the day before because of a friends recommendation and was really looking forward to it as she had really hyped it up.We arrived and were shown to the bar area. The Lady who saw us in (i think the owner)was very welcoming and attentive.We both ordered a cocktail-its hard not to in the lively atmosphere ,it was the green jamaican-and was delicious. We were then shown to our table and the restaurant system was explained to us and we were given a card each that was red on one side and green on the other. If you want the waiters to serve you then u leave it green and they will come over with succulant meat on skewers and serve you .There is also a buffet with salad and rice and different veggies that was fresh and with a wide variety.<br/>The waiters kept coming over with sirloin and chilli chicken and topside of beef. all cooked to perfection and really tasty.we both shared a dessert(choc pud-what else!!) it was to die for ... <br/>Bill was a very reasonable 75.00 for two inc service and drinks. definatley will go back very soon, thanks for a great evening!

Several slices of Rio in Pimlico. Just found this place and am extremely glad of it. Excellent (and seemingly unending) food, copious supplies of a bewildering variety of drinks and friendly, efficient service. I discovered the Rodizio/Churrascaria habit in Rio de Janeiro about 15 years ago - it's appearance close to Victoria makes a visit to London far more tolerable.<br/><br/>Recommended for those with large appetities seeking something a bit different from the post-pub curry!

Fantastic restaurant, brilliant friendly staff. I've lived in pimlico for 6 months and I've been to quite a few restaurants and this place is top of the list. Buffet is brilliant but the choice and amount of BBQ meat is second to none.

Excellent. We had our Christmas Party here and it was brilliant, there were about 85 of us, so not a small party. They coped wonderfully with everything. Due to a bit of a mess up, they had double booked on our original date, we changed our date and as a thank you the manager got us some dancers (free) as a thank you. They were fantastic and it was a lovely touch to a really teriffic evening. The food is amazing and I will definately be coming back here with friends and family.

6/10. I've had a good evening at Rodizio Preto. Having travelled around Brazil and having tried Rodizio Rico in more occasions in London (eat as must as you want went up to £23.50 there!), I thought I'd give a go at Preto behind Victoria stn. Price for meat + buffet is £20, I would say that the quality of the cuts we got wasn't the highest but was certainly not bad at all, flavour was also good. Only two disappointing things I must point out: 1) Not much choice available as in two hrs i did not get a single sausage or any liver/heart at all. 2) Some of the cut, especially the stuff wrapped in bacon tasted salty and I mean very salty :( Overall Rodizio Preto is a fun place to go and I will go back for more meat in future, considering that Rodizio Rico seems to put the price up by £1 every other month...

Superb Restaurant. Last Friday I took the whole family - 6 of us in all to Preto in Putney, we had a superb evening, The service was excellent, the staff attentive but not intrusive, the atmospere - good energy with nice music. The food was delicious, a tremendous variety of meats, all beautifully cooked and a delightful hot and cold buffet table. I had a cocktail - a "Green Jamaican" that was exquisite, and for desert the Tiramisu was to die for! I asked my children to rate the restaurant on a scale of 1-10 my eldest (most cynical) son gave it a 9.5 my eldest daughter gave it a 13! I highly recommend this restaurant if you love good meat - and want a fun experience

The best brasilian steakhouse outside brasil.. This place is great, the caiparinhas are strong, the meat is well cooked and the staff are friendly...<br/>we have tried all the other rodizios in london and this one is definitely the best!

Rodizio Preto is not subtle or sophisticated, but it is fun. You can certainly get better meat in London, but you’d be pushed to find it in these quantities for an equivalent price.

Good. Really liked the choice of meats and all the rice/pasta/veg/salad bar. Appetite almost not large enough to do the vast array of tasty food justice. <br/><br/>Could improve on food labelling at the self-serve counter and dispense with service charge due self-serve nature of most of the meal.

What a place !. We came here with the office last week and had an absolute blast ! Such a refreshing surprise. <br/><br/>The staff were efficient and helpful, within 10 minutes we were all eating which was great. the dirnks were a treat too. The meats were the highlight. Absolutely fantastic. <br/><br/>Im so glad we all the team had a good night out. I would stongly reccomend Preto, its just a shame they arent dotted around London so that every one can enjoy the experience. <br/><br/>Cant wait to go again !

Valentines Day. What a busy place !!!<br/><br/>Didn't know what it was going to be like but we thought we would give 'Preto' a try after a friend said that we should.<br/><br/>Booked a table for lunch and had a great time with a full offering of lots of different meats, from beef, lamb and pork right down till the still not sure about chicken hearts ??<br/><br/>Nice staff who served us well on what was a very busy day, desserts took a little bit long but apart from that very pleased,<br/>Highly recommend to you meat lovers out there.

Organised a works Christmas Party last night, very few had enjoyed the experience of a churrascaria and everyone loved the food which I must say was very very good! the choice of salads and dishes on the buffet cart was great, the meat cooked beautifully and to everyones taste. The matadores were very friendly and efficient, the meat just kept coming. The waitresses were a bit slow and at first rather miserable but everyone had an excellent time still, you'll definitely have some new customers.

Writing as someone from the midlands who recently visited, having seen comments from this website and the restaurants proximity to where we were staying. <br/><br/>All I can say is very, very poor. The location, service and food were simply unacceptable. <br/><br/>If this is what's classed as a 'good' restaurant in London then you can keep it...<br/><br/>Avoid!!!!

Very Good for Churrascaria / Buffet. Went there this afternoon for Sunday Brunch. Excellent quality. I would give it an 8-9. I started with the buffet and had an excellent plate of feijoada. Very nice chunks of pork in a lovely bean soup, and several styles of rice from which to choose. Also had some salad and lasagna and a sausage casserole. All very nice.<br/><br/>Then I started on the churrascaria. The meat was brought to the table by handsome, attentive waiters (always a plus in a Brazilian restaurant). There were several beef, pork, lamb and chicken cuts to try. All were very nice, particularly the steak and lamb.<br/><br/>This was all washed down by a continuous flow of Guaraná Antarctica, which is a must with churrascaria.<br/><br/>This was followed by a nice dessert of lemon mousse.<br/><br/>All in all an excellent brunch, and one the best Churrascaria's where I have eaten outside of Brazil.

Canivors delight. I have been to Brazil many times and eaten in the world famous "Fogo de Chao" chain in Sao Paulo, Salvador, Miami and Chicago. Without a doubt, the meat in "Preto" is comparable and the service excellent. If you like your meat hot, succulent, freshly cooked just as you like it and delivered to your table by friendly, attentive staff, then Preto is a "must visit." The place has a good atmosphere, is clean, spacious, (more so than some of Londons other churrascarias) and has a modern Brasilian feel to it. The all inclusive buffet is very comprehensive with fresh saldas and traditional dishes, but above all the meat is superb. Try it, I'll bet you will be back for more!

I don't agree with the comments written below that the place isn't nice, all that i reckon that is very nice and well decorate<br/>main issue ain't the decoration the issue is the attitude and the unprofessionalism of must of them!<br/>1) the first one and unacceptable the waiter serving you the meat is constantly eating behind the grill.<br/>2) the morning staff the girl and the a tall guy serving were absolutely hopeless no professionalism at all<br/>3)We were waiting for our drinks for about 20 min and i went to check what was wrong and i see the waitress and the bartender having a laugh.<br/><br/>Button line is the place is nice the food is good but is a shame to see someones investment been conduct like that.<br/><br/>Everything that i wrote here was also mention to the waitress.<br/><br/>Cheers,

I agree with pcs5454. Too many fake reviews by staff and management of this "restuarant". Clearly this so called Dean Knight (clearly a fake name) is a staff member or a friend. As for the christmas eve debacle, I'd go so far as to say the peson who answered the phone and took the booking is covering up their mistake. Why would a prospective customer lie and make a complaint unless theyn had made a booking, turned up at the restaurant and found it to be closed?<br/><br/>Go to Rodizio Rico in Notting Hill if you want to eat great Brazilian food. No, I do not work there, but have eaten there several times and enjoyed it every time. Preto looks cheap, the decor is rubbish and clearly has stooped to posting fake reviews to boost their reputation.

Excellent. Having eaten at a number of brazilian resturants in london and areound the world inclusing brazil i must say that preto is one of the best I have been to. The buffet is excellent and so is the quality and quantity of the meat served table side.

Preto - Oustanding food and service. I keep seeing the name Cleo Harding popping every time I look up the reviews for Preto Restaurant. I have eaten at Preto 3 times since its opening and I found the experience truly enjoyable. Yes, the service was a bit slow but nothing major. It seems to me that Cleo Harding is after a little personal vendetta here - I even imagine that she might be using an alias as maybe, she owns, let's say another Brazilian Steakhouse in London and is jealous of the success Preto has been enjoying. Of course this is pure speculation and most probably the figment of my twisted imagination. Go to Preto, you will not be dissapointed!

Excellent. It's hard to find a good Brazillian BBQ, but this one is excellent. Good quality meat, a good selection, well cooked and a fantastic salad bar.<br/><br/>I'd rate it as mid range for pricing, but its actually very good value for a GOOD all you can eat steak house.

Outstanding. I tried hard to find something -- anything -- about this restaurant that would bring a perfect score down, but I couldn't.<br/><br/>This is a brand new restaurant on Wilton Road in the Victoria area that has only been open for a few weeks (I went at the beginning of November 2008). It is sparkly clean, bright and very welcoming. Employees are cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Tables range from two- to four-seaters and are set with views of either the buffet table and chefs, or the passersby on the street.<br/><br/>As for the food -- it is perfect, delicious, plentiful (even overly so!), fresh, quality is high, and incredibly varied. It consists of a large buffet of various salads, vegetables, rice, beans, lasagne, fruit, cheese, bread, and then we come to the meat. Various cuts of beef, lamb and chicken that are cooked in traditional grill (called churrascaria I believe) style in an open area that diners can see. They are brought to your table on their skewers, in all-you-can-eat style. Fortunately, they give you a paper disc to keep on your table, with "more" on one side and "no more" on the other (I call that side the "oh please stop I'm gonna burst!").<br/><br/>While this is primarily a meat restaurant, I think even vegetarians would get their fill from the buffet.<br/><br/>I found the prices to be of excellent value considering what you get for your money, ranging from £14-20 depending on lunch or dinner, and buffet with meat or without. If I were to have to find one thing "wrong", it would be the drink prices (a Coke was £2). However, given the outstanding value of Preto, I think their drink prices would be the most minor aspect to the entire menu.<br/><br/>The restaurant is set between an Indian and Chinese restaurant, and is the newest in this area full of good places to eat, with a very good Turkish one across the street. That being said, I see Preto being the "new kid on the block" who will take this area and give the others a serious "run for their money".<br/><br/>I absolutely recommend this restaurant to every person who comes to the Victoria area (and it's only two and a half blocks from Victoria Station).
