Moshimoshi is possibly the most sustainable sushi bar in London, where the fish is carefully selected by the owner and comes from day boats in the UK. Flavours are very authentic, and there are a lot of events running at all times. Shame that its location penalises it a bit as it's not easy to find and doesn't have the footfall its more mass market competitors get. Worth a detour and the little extra cost.

Booked a table for 5 and they gave us a lovely sofa table decorated beautifully in the small but practical restaurant. Food was tasty although small portion, but the best ice cream ever - black sesame ice cream ? would come back just for that!

Tonight I got my snaffle on at Moshi Moshi, a tucked away Japanese restaurant inside Liverpool Street station.

I arrived around 6 and was seated at a table (which was surrounded by a funky, dome-like structure that maintains privacy between diners), but opted to sit at the kaiten belt instead to watch the fashion show of foodie dishes trundling by.

I liked that all staff were Japanese as it added to the restaurant's authenticity. The chefs were friendly and helpful, keeping us entertained throughout the meal by their beautiful arrangement of dishes and providing us with our ordered dishes promptly.

It is rare to find a sushi place that serves sea urchin whilst being kind to the pocket. Here, 2 pieces is £8 but you can taste the superiority. The only other place I've tried this is in Japan itself, and indeed, Moshi Moshi's sea urchin is shipped from Asia but still fresh as fresh with that creamy, urchin deliciousness. Also, it can be hard to find good, cheap tofu but they hit a perfect balance of crispy outer and silky inner, kept warm in a delicious, rich marinade.

The food is fresh, well-sized and there's a good variety on the menu. Hot and cold; meat and seafood; veggie and fried, nibbles or box-sets; there is enough choice there to keep all mouths full and tummies satisfied.

We sampled a range of both on-the-belt and ordered dishes, both of which were great, and the bill came to a modest £40, including a glass of wine each.

It was a good level of busy, with a few other diners dotted around but a good degree of privacy. The waiters did a sterling job of always being accessible yet not popping up every five minutes. Ginger is fresh and crunchy, the kaiten belt kept well-stocked and the staff prompt and efficient.

All in all, a good place to go for a snaffle by your self, as well as for an intimate evening in one of their booths. I recommend this little gem for a kaiten-belt experience without breaking the bank (and an easy trip home in case the only good thing about the date is the food).

A super friendly front of house and waiting staff welcomed us. A small but perfectly positioned Sushi experience within Liverpool Street station. The decor is beautiful and calming. Saki was tasty and hit the spot. We shall be back for a full sushi menu experience

such a lovely lil place!! Feels so quiet and cosy and great for keeping an eye on your train back home if you’re into that sort of stuff. Food is great and such a welcome space, could do with a bit of gentle music to amp up the atmosphere though

What an absolute gem, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool Street station, but what a stunning place to eat. Fantastic decor/ambiance, friendly staff. Extremely tasty food. All the sushi was great. Super fresh. The organic chocolate pot desert was to die for!! Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.

Hidden inside the train station, the place looks like a nice Japanese restaurant with the option to order from a classic table or from the more traditional rotating platform. Tempura was ok, nothing special and tasted more like European fried food rather than a Japanese tempura. The Teriyaki Chicken was really good with amazing flavor. Sushi was very well made too.

Highly impressed with both the quality and freshness of the sushi as well as the value. Really great sushi and no one in the vicinity should have to go to Yo Sushi when the value and quality is much much better here. The restaurant is also a really nice setting and ambience which is surprising to have such a gem within Liverpool Street Station, Highly recommended!

It’s an hidden gem in the Station! can’t believe we’ve been living in the area for 8 years and didn’t know about this place! Came in quite late so had to wait a bit before getting a table. Not the most welcoming service but they were understaffed and they all look very tired. It’s a hard time for both retail and hospitality so it’s understandable. It was a party of three and we all agreed that the tempura was a big disappointment. It wasn’t crispy at all… the meat was mushy. We ordered a £50 worth of sushi bowl. It looks pretty good for the price. To my asian standard the fish are not very fresh. Tuna look a bit off but the taste were alright. Had to remove a star for the food quality. The setting though!!!! So cool and special!!! I love it so much I wanted to meet and shake hands with the designer 😂 Love love love the layout, it shows the vide of an authentic Japanese bar. Some seats can overlook the train station meanwhile some have these high ceiling wood interior designs. The layout give some good privacy. Recommended for gathering or a date night to impress.

This place has a special place in my heart. Been going there since 2006 and the sushi and sashimi have always been so fresh and good. Service always spot on.

This is a great little find. My daughter and I had a day in Londone at the theatre, and stopped here for dinner (takeaway) prior to our journey home. Lovely Bento boxes. Very friendly staff, would definitely use again.

Surprisingly very authentic sushi - great quality, tasted delicious. We ordered £60 worth of sushi which they gave us this beautifully presented boat and we gave our preference of more salmon than tuna! Will go back again

Overall happy with the freshness and taste from our selection however some of the rolls had a little too much rice as opposed to the filling. Chocolate pot was very rich, enough for two or in our case three people to share! Definitely recommend it with a side of ice cream!!

Nice place ,conveniently situated in Liverpool Street station.A very aesthetically designed atmosphere. The food was very authentic Japanese. We ordered a plate of sashimi, sushi platter and tempura platter and a chicken katsu curry. The fried tempura was perfect ,the vegetables and the prawn. The katsu curry was delicious too,the chicken crisp batter fried served with thick sauce and rice.

Very fresh fish and the sushi rice is as good as any I’ve had outside of Japan. Cool that they take a more sustainable approach to sushi. Thanks for the meal!

Small sustainable sushi restaurant located inside Liverpool St station. The conveyor belt wasn’t in use when I arrived, maybe because I went on a quiet weekday. Salmon was fresh. Would recommend if you’re waiting for your train and need somewhere to sit in and eat.

Located actually inside Liverpool Street Station - overlooking the platforms and with a live Departure Board inside the restaurant. Central conveyor belt seating or table service at very nice booths; the later being my preference. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and of a high quality. The hot dishes (I love the gyoza dumplings) are freshly prepared and tasty. Great service, good food, commuter location and small but nice surroundings - definitely five stars.

Food here is absolutely amazing, service is wonderful too. Prices are very reasonable, there where 3 of us at the table and was less than I expected. 10/10 would recommend.
