One of our favourite restaurants to visit . They never disappoint......the food is ALWAYS superb & the staff are always so attentive & welcoming . We always use the old restaurant ( there are two in Lewisham , both are good ) but this one is a hidden treasure ���!!!!
Went today. Food was amazing. Children thoroughly enjoyed the food and trying out different things. Definately will be going again.
Turkish food, I adore, cause it's the ingredients are mainly Mediterranean spice, and I love the taste of it, since I was born and raised in the middle east, the thing about mediterranena food is that, it light, especially most of it is cooked in olive oil, this place had one the best tasting lamb shawarma meat, I've had, the staff was really friendly and polite. Really appreciated the meal here.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due as we live in a world where people are quick to complain when they receive bad service or sub standard food but hardly say anything when it is good.
My friend and I happened to come by this place on my way back from Greenwich to Kennington. The pictures I have added are from my second visit to the place and it was as good as the first.
I did forget to snap a pic of my starter which I proclaim is the best Lahmachun I've had in London (Controversy for those North London Turkish Restaurants). By the way Lahmachun is a thin Turkish pizza of sorts, with minced lamb. These were awesome and I could have had just an entire plate of these with their chilli and yoghurt sauce and salad and would have be entirely content. Crispy around the edges, soft in the middle with a lovely lamb and tomato flavour.
I had the same thing I always order at Turkish restaurants which was the lamb ribs. Never had or will have pork ribs so I can't compare, I've had beef ribs which is lovely but a bit too fatty at times. Lamb ribs are quite possibly one of my favourite dishes and theirs were great. Cooked over charcoal grill to a perfect char, always lovely and succulent. My friend had the lamb chops which are always hard to get wrong so enjoyed every bit. Both dishes are very hands on, there no way to have these with a knife and fork, must be hands.
Service was also great, very friendly and attentive. They were hosting a birthday party at the time as well. I really liked the atmosphere and can't fault the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and urge you to try the Lahmachuns, they are great.
Levante beats hands down all other Turkish restaurants and no doubt such a great value for money .Love the service and great food and specially Chicken Kofte and Turkish Adana kebab Must try this place .
Always courteous. You get a warm welcome on account of the charcoal oven which is big, being at the front of the restaurant. Staff are very nice. It's right by the market and it has a posh cousin restaurant on the same block by the library. I always come to this one though.
As you walk in there's specials on the bain marie. Ask because they are not always on the menu.
You've also got your trad take away set up with meats & salad for the bbq
Then menu is good. They don't mind if you want a starter converted to a main. For example if you need an iron fix and you want saute'd liver as a main with rice and salad. No problem.
My vegan other half loves the meze. Falafal meals, grilled vegetables, aubergine dishes and such like. They've got an interesting beverage which seems to be made of pickled turnips or something like that. It's bright and worth giving to anyone suffering from a hangover. Don't give them a clue first, they may think it's ribena :-)
Food was beautifully cooked and seasoned. Service was great. Used a groupon voucher with no issues. Staff very friendly and attentive. A hidden gem, glad I found this place! 10/10
This place really is a hidden gem, came across it few months ago when I ordered takeaway. My partner and I were blown away by the quality of food as well as the authentic flavours, took us back to when we visited Turkey on holiday. We visited this place again today for dinner, Robert was really attentive and gave us Baklava & Turkish tea on the house! My partner and I live over an hour away from Lewisham but we see ourselves coming back again and again! I very much recommend this place if you want real authentic Turkish food, very reasonably priced and the only place that serves steak chips alongside the platter! 11/10, I never really write reviews but this place deserves it!!
Had an excellent time. Went here for a birthday dinner for my mum , lamb was so tender and juicy, halloumi was great double southern comfort was a nice good and cheap price. Enjoyed with family. Nice and busy and very clean. Would definitely recommend, waiter was lovely
This is the second time I have been to Levante, this time I went for lunch with my wife.
I have to say on both occasions we received great service and most importantly the food was good.
The portions are large as well as complimentary bread, tea and Baklava. You are sure to leave feeling full or even taking some food home.
I can say we received fairly priced food in a nice atmosphere. Thank you all at Levante

Great food and good service. I live locally and have been going to Levante for 6 years. The meat is always grilled to perfection and fresh. Highly recommend the salads, grills and lentil soup. My favourites are the mixed grill and chicken liver. Very authentic and fresh.
First time with my family here. My kids always caught attention because of their behaviours due to a syndrome, but the waitress didn't mind at all. All she's about is for us to enjoy the food and the kids are comfortable. Lovely and very kind lady. The food is also amazing, we had their special for main and chicken liver as a starter. Their special for 2 people can feed 4. Amazing food for a great price. Will definitely coming back.
I've eaten in almost all the turkish restaurants in South East London an this is still a place I would recommend 👌
A great restaurant with amazing food. I’m new to the area so I’ve been trying out different restaurants around, but I can say with confidence that Levante restaurant is the best by far. I tried Salmon Tava and my sister got Mixed Shish, and they were both high quality dishes. The lentil soup we got was great as well. While the restaurant is on the small size, the quality of food and service along with an elegant atmosphere more than makes up for it.
We dine here every weekend, which is really worth doing. The food, the service, and the ambiance is very good. The whole staff was brilliant. We were served by Miriam, who was very accommodating and always had a smile on her face.
