Good ambience and meals well presented. The food is good and the restaurant is suitable for groups. Friendly staff. A place to visit if you are into Indian food.
A lovely Indian food experience at this place! The ambience in its wall papers n pickle jars around have Indianess to it, the fragrance of Indian spices used in cooking fills your senses up the moment you walk in n the food is the as flavourful, colourful, heart warming n satisfying as home cooked food would be :) we had the butter chicken grand thali n the Malabar chicken grand thali n it was a feast! The two curries, dal, chicken curry n even the chapatis were done to perfection. Would have loved to try the Indian desserts that they have to but was so full that this will have to wait until next time!
Had the vegetarian meal here two days in a row and they didn't fail to surprise. Brilliant food and service set in a very Indian ambience. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is really nice. Everything tasted nice but the dal tadka stood out, took me right back to a good old Indian kitchen. Recommend this place to everyone wanting to experience the true Indian food!
Great place with great indian food. Interesting concept with the platters and plenty of choices. Would recommend the samosas and the mango lassi.
There's always tonnes of hype about Dishoom but Masala Zone is also a fantastic option, especially when you don't feel like waiting. But it's not just that, Masala Zone offers something Dishoom doesn't - a thali, that is, an assortment of several Indian curries and sides on plate. In essence, a thali is a closer representation of true Indian meals. When I'm homesick, I pick this place over Dishoom. Recently Masala zone raised its prices, placing it in a bracket of restaurants where food is not only delicious but also creative. I'd tell Masala Zone to move back into a lower price bracket where its the leader of the pack rather than experiment with the other side of the spectrum.
Lovely authentic indian food, and very accommodating to meet dietary needs such as nut allergies. All the staff really friendly. Depending on which branch you go to, you get food from different areas of india.
I loved the food here. Samosa with choley was awesome. Paneer makhani was just apt as we asked for non-spicy for kids. Chapati was like a home chapati. In all i liked the food, service and place.
Great if you know what to order. Get a thali, they are all great

Mmmmmmmmmmm. It looks like this branch just had a refurb, everything looks new fresh and clean. This is a very nice place for those who like authentic indian food. I recommend a thali, where you get several different dishes served on a metal plate. If you prefer white tablecloth and posh dining, go somewhere else!
Excellent thali. Have been meaning to try this chain for ages and wish that I had earlier. The thali I had was delicious and extremly good value. Spicy but flavoursome and not in the least bit oily.Nice vibe too.Will be a must on my next visit to the adjacent Screen o the Green .
Food was nice. Services was great. Cleanliness is good. What put me off was 1 coke cost 40% of my thali, bottle wasn't even that big. Apart from that even the lavatory was nice and refreshing. I give it a 4.5 out of 5.
We loved here! They have a very good outdoor seating space with heaters and plenty space between each tables. The customer service was attentive, polite and fast.
The food was really good! Tasty and spicy, exactly as you would expect from Indian cuisine!

This restaurant has a relaxing aura, and asian inspired interior. We are not used to indian or spicy food so we ordered food that we felt were enjoyable. We were not dissapointed. They have marked the spicy dishes in the menu, and also have a selection of vegan dishes. Need to go back another time to explore more of the indian tastes.
Went as a group of four, the Grand thaalis were exceptional and worth the price. The desserts were mouthwatering good. Great atmosphere and friendly service. I expected the non-alcoholic cocktails to actually look the part but they looked like ordinary soft drinks. It was actually very warm inside and we couldn't wait to get out in the cool air.
Delicious and amazing food, authentic flavours of India! Good was nice, spicy, yummy and fresh and was upto expectation! Portion size can be bigger in my opinion for that price!
Masala Zone, despite not having a great name, is the genuine article. The food is authentic, a little spicey but with a good range. The service we got was really friendly and attentive, though the place was half empty and so was also not the best atmosphere on a Tuesday night. The decor is beautiful, from the interiors to the presentation of the dishes, and the price was good, especially considering the portion sizes. Some dishes aren't as good as others, and whilst I enjoyed the Thali experience, I think there were nicer options in the grill section. We paid about £29 each including a big main and a cocktail.
I would definitely recommend it for a date or laid back catch up with friends, they also seem to have a private dining room for 20 downstairs. There are nicer spots on the street, but this would be my choice for Indian food on Upper Street.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is new or unfamiliar with the Indian cuisine. It was lovely to try their refined dishes made with original spices and on top receive a bit of insight from the waiter on when they are traditionally eaten during festivities.
Super yummy food. Indian spices and taste on point. Totally statisfying Indian craving. Must visit if you want to enjoy authetic Indian food :)
Delicious! Must try recipes. You can book your table online to ensure you get a place. The service was really good and ambience was amazing with great art work. The place is expensive but worth it!

Really amazing food - we had the chicken Briyani and lamb shank. Our waiter Hemit was absolutely superb, very attentive and made us feel really welcome. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant :)
