Lovely place, the ambience was cozy and well lit. Rather small, but most people do take outs anyway, so there is always space inside. I always order the cod and chips with mushy peas along with a tango orange. The cod and chips never disappoint, the chips are soggy when coated with salt and vinegar, which is excellent in my opinion. The fish was battered and fried well and the peas were delicious. The staff here are extremely pleasant and very welcoming, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends over most of the other cod and chips restaurants I've been to!
We came for dinner on October 12th. A very nice, clean, cute place. We enjoyed delicious fish that evening with the friendly chef and fast service of the caring staff. You should definitely come here.
It feels like eating in a clean and cozy country house. The music is also calm and friendly.

The fish and chips of this restaurant are wonderful. First of all, our orders were fresh, fast and hot. It has a warm-hearted, friendly owner who loves his job. If you ever come to RaynesPark, definitely visit this restaurant.
Always great fish and chips, but more importantly always friendly service. I struggle to visit Raynes Park without a stop here. (Plus the best chicken nuggets)

Great fish and chips shop. I ordered a battered sausage and large chips - everything was cooked well. The chips were not dripping with oil and the sausage had a great ratio re sausage v batter. What I like the most is the fact that unlike other places, the chips do not taste of fish! Would definitely recommend.
Our new favourite fish & chip restaurant in SW London! We had a superb lunch here. The food is fantastic and the service is even better. A real bonus to have seating inside and outside.
Coming here since 2017. New revamped decor. Cozy atmosphere and most of all brilliant service. Food is at its best. Classic fish and chips cooked perfectly and no where else tastes better.
Have been coming for many years and see the restaurant go through many changes. Started as cheap and cheerful chippy and gradually over the years the owners updated the decor and continued to improve to aesthetics. Not that there was anything wrong with the cheap and cheerful look.
Despite the visual changes, Matheous has been with the same family for many years. The service and quality of the food are always excellent. Huge portion sizes and all freshly cooked. Really can not find fault. Well done and keep going strong Matheous
Absolutely loved the experience here. I went with the default Cod and Chips and it was very tasty. The portion was big and filling. The dining in experience was super, the owner greeted us very affectionately and made us feel right at home.

Fish and chips were good. Service was quick and friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a safe bet, this is the place! The portions were not enormous, I think of fish and chips as a meal that will beat me, this one did not. As with anywhere, we do not get as much for our money as we once did.

This is the best fish and chip restaurant/shop around the London area, I just cannot rate these guys enough and you won't be disappointed if you eat there, the fish is always freshly cooked, just mouth watering, definitely worth the travel.

We love Matheou’s, since finding this place we’ve come every Wednesday. We come back for the food and of course the amazing decor. This place feels so homely and comforting and the staff are kind and helpful.
