This place is so great! The people are very friendly and polite, the food is so good, and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. One of my friends sent her steak back because it wasn't hot enough for her and the waitress happily took it back and had a whole fresh meal made. They were very nice about it and handled it very well without making anyone feel bad. All of the food was delicious. We had burgers, truffle fries, hake with browned butter shrimp, steak, bbq wings, and sticky toffee pudding. The scotch egg was also cooked to perfection. We all shared and tried everything and it all had great flavor and texture. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We came in for a spot of lunch and were met by the lovely Sydney who looked after us as if it was a 5 star restaurant. The chef, Miro (I think that was his name...I'm terrible with names), was also awesome...really passionate about food and it showed in the lunch. We were all very impressed...I thoroughly recommend the wild boar and apple sausage and mash. Ask them about the secret ingredient in the spud and see if you can guess :) We all said we would definitely be back...well done team Selkirk!

We hosted a surprise 30th birthday for about 60 people in the upstairs function room with private bar. It was such a great night, the staff were very helpful and Nicola made the planning process and execution run incredibly smoothly! We had plenty of drinks, delicious nibbles and were able to bring cupcakes and decorations to make the place themed for the event. Would highly recommend for parties!

A friend had recommended this pub to me so I decided to stop by early on Saturday evening. We arrived between the rugby matches so it was quieter that it probably would have been an hour later and we were able to find a table for our pint. The pub itself is much bigger than I expected and the beer selection was good. We didn't eat any food (or see any) but we will be back to try it out!

I'm not normally a fan of pub roasts as they're more often than not, highly dissapointing. However I was delighted to find the pork roast was excellent. Succulent pork with crispy crackling. More impressive were the the veg which are often under or over cooked but all done and flavoured wonderfully. At £20, I think it's very good value for the quality. The table shared starters, all of which were very good with the chicken thigh pick of the bunch. Peanut butter cheesecake a great way to top it off. Big shout out to the staff who were particularly friendly and accommodating. We stayed for almost 3 hours and was with our baby and at no point felt rushed or in the way. A lovely atmosphere which clearly rubbed off on the baby who thankfully and uncharacteristically slept most of the time!

It's a great place to enjoy a drink with friends. The location offers a quiet and pleasant environment. It offers both indoor and outdoor service. It has a few tables outside - in front of the restaurant, but they also have a pretty nice terrace area, as well as a spacious garden where they have set up tables and offer outdoor service. The place is clean, neat, nicely decorated and offers a pleasant atmosphere. They have a wide variety of drinks - good ones, and the prices are like everywhere else in the area. The music is nice, but sometimes it can be too loud. From what I saw, they also have table games in a more intimate area, but I didn't know and didn't try them. The staff is really nice and friendly. I recommend visiting it! It has a special "something" that you must try.

GREAT Pub! One of the biggest “beer gardens” we’ve seen in a month of searching. If you’re lucky enough to be there Friday do the “Selkirk Sizzle”. Amazing BBQ meal by Ben the “Sizzle King”.

🚇 Tooting Broadway 🍺 £6.10 Pilsner Urquell ❤️ A classy Victorian neighbourhood pub. . The Selkirk is nestled on a corner of a quiet residential street in the heart of Tooting. The nearest tube is Tooting Broadway. . This stunning Victorian pub was built late 19th century and has some beautiful architectural features. The ornate stonework around the windows and doors are impressive, either side of the entrance are a brace of original Courage signs and the stained windows are an attractive detail. . This is a good size two bar pub which is tastefully decorated. The left bar is what was the Saloon and the public bar is on the right with a conservatory leading off it. The classy interior has wooden floors throughout and the walls are painted sage green which makes for a welcoming environment. Around the walls in the Saloon bar were a collection of paintings and drawings of the female form. At the rear of the pub is the beer garden, out front are additional benches for the warmer months. . The beer choice was good, lots of keg but didn’t notice any cask on at the time of visiting. I ordered a Pilsner Urquell, it was a decent pint and cost just over six quid. The food here looked amazing, there is an A La Carte menu and roasts available on a Sunday. . The vibe here is all about relaxation, this pub was easy to settle in to. The crowd was a mix of well to do young professionals and loyal locals. The staff were great, I was served by a nice chap who seemed rushed off his feet but had everything under control. If you fancy testing your general knowledge, there are quiz nights on a Tuesday. . @theselkirktooting is a lovely locals boozer specialising in elevated hearty pub grub, the beer choice was pretty good too. This pub is a handsome devil with superb original Victorian architecture and a welcoming place to spend time in. I really enjoyed this pub and would definitely visit again. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 21.01.23
