This restaurant is amazing! I went in thinking it would be like any other non vegetarian restaurant were all the veggie options are an after thought, however that was absolutely not the case! I had the grand thali dish (came with small portions of : tarka dhal, potato curry, pea and mushroom tomato curry, peshwari naan bread (paid additional for that- menu offers chapati instead) and some other small things with a main veg curry) and it was the best meal I have had in my life! While I didn't like the main veg curry much (it was quite sour and mushy), the tarka dhal was the best dish I have ever had in my life- and I have eaten this dish at different restaurants my whole life. My meat eating boyfriend even said it was the best dish there! The potato and the mushroom curry was lovely also and the peshwari naan was amazing! I can't recommend this restaurant enough, it has amazing veggie food that omni company will absolutely love too, with tons of choices for them also. Moreover everything is marked whether it's veggie, vegan plus gluten free which makes it super easy. This has honestly been the best meal of my life and I never thought I would ever say that from a non-vegetarian restaurant!

Ultimately if you're like me where you struggle to find restaurants that cater to both your needs and your omni family members than I cannot give high enough praise to Masala Zone. Not only will it be beyond amazing for you, but also great for your company with the wide variety of vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes.

Quick side note:

My dish could've been made vegan just by subsisting various dishes (i.e. The raita) with other side dishes offered (like more dhal!!) which the sever kindly offered me!

So pleasantly surprised With the food and service here ! I had initially been to the Covent garden one and was disappointed. But this visit to the Camden town one was great .

1. Pani puri - nice
2. Kothu parotta - very nice
3. Biryani - decent
4. Dal makhni - nice
5. Paneer lababdar - nice
6. Naan - decent

The presentation of the food was fab! The ambience and the service was excellent. Especially the personal attention that we were given . Will definitely re visit.

P.s - the spice balance is quite good for an indian palate

Veg thali was good but is over priced for the quantity given. There is an additional tax component over above the menu price.

If you are really hungry, order for 2 Thalis,

It's not secret that this is one of my very favourite restaurants groups and of course Indian food is my all time favourite. This Covent Garden branch has just recently reopened after a major refurb so I was keen to check it out. Between the 3 of us we shared some street-food starters and 4 main courses (yes we were hungry). The Thalis are still just as consistent and tasty as are the masala coke's. Masala Zone is always a winner!

We tried this on our last day in London and I have to say it's the best Indian restaurant in London. I got the Veg thali which was very nice, it had the right amount of spices and tastes very close to what you get Back home. Strongly recommend it!

Masala Zone was fabulous. The most reliable Indian dining experience in London.

Great price and even the smaller plates come with lots of food. They do a combo style offer with several smaller dishes, bread, curry etc...

Wide selection of drinks available and staff were very knowledgable about their produce. We had a member of our party with severe allergies and Masala Zone catered very well for this.

Very happy and will definitely be returning.

Authentic. There are 2 sets which provide salads, curry, rice and nan with very reasonable price. Around 12-15 £. Quite big portion so no need to order other things. Very delicious and we enjoyed so much. They have very nice cocktail to start

Good, fresh food but on the greasy side. My husband had the Ayurvedic/diabetic Thali as he is a cardiac patient and the menu said it was cooked using very little oil. However several of his dishes were swimming in it!

Masala Zone has quite an extensive menu with food that they say represents different regions of India. The food on the menu ranges from street food snacks, grills, noodles, curries and thalis. So quite a lot to choose from and there is something for everyone. The vegetable samosas had a thick crispy pastry and were not oily. I’m not quite sure what the filling was but it did contain cashew nuts. The samosas were good and it made a nice change to the usual potato filled ones. They were served with chickpeas in a tasty sauce.

From the outside it looks slightly tacky. But, Masala Zone has tasty food. Better than any curry on Brick Lane. Thali is definitely the best food option and works out as a great sharing option. Onion bhaji's are also yummy and are served with delicious dips. Beers are over priced.

I recently visited this place and ordered a grand thali. The food was delicious, not greasy but some really great street food. The ambience was very good and it was one of the most delightful places that I have ever visited. The staff was friendly and the posters that they had put up were quite cool. The food was an authentic one. It was value for money.

Delicious, mouth savouring street food is what one should expect visiting this restaurant.
The portions are adequate.
The prices are decent.
Not highly priced!
The staff is attentive and well trained.
The service is prompt.
The taste does not vanish from the street food when served in a dine out unlike other places.

The place has an amazing decor. The staff is hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. The food is impeccable with a good variety of starters, main course and grilled items. I went ahead with ordering the more traditional "Thali", which was very appetising, delicious and satisfying. I loved this place and will definitely visit again.

I have eaten at many restaurants, serving Indian food and they have been disasters many of the times. I have usually left feeling dejected. However, this place offers some great food and mind you, it is very authentic and true to its roots! The best bit is being able to select a Thali. That makes it so easy to sample a little bit of everything.

I had the grand Thali and let me tell you it was a good experience. The food will sure look spicy but it isn’t. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant . They always had this smile on their faces whenever I looked at them. The waiters were very friendly and helpful.I would go again whenever I'm in dire need of these types of cuisines.

On a visit to this city we popped here for dinner. We ordered Mangalore green chicken curry thali and Rogan josh thali. Both of the thalis were excellent and the chappatis were as good as homemade. The food was very fresh and authentic. The food was in all outstanding and the service too. The staff was very attentive.

I came across it when walking past, and was attracted to the array of beaded suspended lights. The food was refreshingly different and far better than your standard curry house.  I tried the grand thali - the collection of little bowls of different dishes, which was all very good. Different flavours and textures, properly cooked and spiced. Staff were attentive and explained the menu well.More expensive than your average curry house, but worth it

We were visiting London when we went to this restaurant for a dinner. Ordered mangalore green chicken curry thali and rogan josh thali. Special mention for chapatis which are as good as homemade. Both were outstanding. Ambiance and Service is great. Recommend to everyone looking for authentic and fresh Indian food

Two thumbs up! Masala Zone is a perfectly pleasant Indian restaurant with competent service and a quirky decor, with a menu that's (thankfully) far removed from curry house fare. The food tastes pretty good, as evidenced through the quick and thorough demolition of the thalis we ordered, each featuring a curry choice, two veggies, a dal and rice/chapattis. As the open kitchen will tell you, there are Indian chefs in action and a lot of spice and smoke to be seen - all good signs for an Indian restaurant. While everything we had was prepared well, the Garlic Naan was delectably soft and almost a Kulcha of sorts. Value for money, though not spectacular was reasonably decent. It proves to be a good choice for diners who know their (authentic) North Indian food, and are bored of  or don't have the deep pockets or are sick of waiting endlessly for a table at more popular places like Dishoom.

We came here after getting a recommendation for a baby-friendly restaurant and on a Sunday evening with an 8 month old we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and good value for money, but what set it apart was the service. All of the staff were courteous and polite and interacted with our baby. Nothing was too much trouble and one waiter even came over to help distract him whilst we were feeding him. We will certainly be back.

A quick visit for a light snack but it was terrific . A great curry with chapati instead of rice & side dishes plus Lassi for under £16 including 12.5% service charge - 10 feet from the Royal Opera house - brilliant !! Friendly fast helpful service & a great recommendation from my server. I will be back soon - if you are in the area don't miss it !

This is a Lovely Indian restaurant in Camden. I almost always have the veg thali which is a great option. Spice levels are perfect and food is always tasty. I also find it great value for money. Must visit.

I must add here that we always visit in large groups and yet the service remains efficient and friendly. Kudos!

Masala zone was a pleasant surprise; most Indian restaurants have hit good price point but often fail at quality. Masala Zone does not disappoint in that case. It is well-serviced, well-priced and good quality food.
The different branches have great ambience with kitsch pop up Indian posters and traditional things like puppets from Jaipur.
All in all it was good experience and the service was prompt. I would recommend going for the thali's, they have some of their best dishes served on them.

Walking distance from the Camden Market and The Stables, nice interior. I liked the starters most, those were really delightful. The Thali was good but not exceptional. They did a good job in making the food hot and spice while still giving the other tastes a room to be explored.

We dined here a few times during our month-long stay around Camden. While some may question the spiciness of the food, we found the heat to be of a suitable level. In general the food was delicious and flavourful, and the staff were also friendly and welcoming - both reasons for our repeated visits. Of course this isn’t the cheapest restaurant in the area, and one certainly shouldn’t expect that given the quality of the food and the environment, but I found this to be well worth it.

Masala Zone is our favourite Indian restaurant when we want to have an authentic Indian meal at reasonable prices. They have many outlets, including Bayswater, Convent Garden etc but our favourite is the restaurant at Camden. The restaurant has very nice decor, and service is always excellent. Today, Kandel Roshan was our server, and service was as usual superb. I would recommend having the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Butter Chicken Thali sets. They are very good and value for money. The restaurant also has a dining room on the lower floor that is good for private functions.

Ali gave us a hearty greeting. We were taken to our table right away because we had a reservation.Ali and another gentleman served as our servers. It was one of the finest dinners we had together, and we were here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The decor was fantastic, and the cuisine was outstanding. Not to forget the amazing cocktails.

Had a great meal with friends here. Not sure about how amazing the food is, everything was so so spicy that It's hard to really notice if the food is tasty. I was very impressed by the starter mince lamb, very delicious and not too spicy, great presentation also.

Finally an original Indian restaurant that is not one of the fake Bangladeshis calling themselves Indian cuisine. Truly authentic Indian food as it is enjoyed back in India. Biryani was super tasty.

Our waitress was great, very knowledgeable about the ingredients and gave us thoughtful recommendations. The food was beautifully presented and prepared with quality ingredients. We enjoyed all dishes and beverages. The restaurant was too warm the day we visited. Given London's wonderfully moody weather atm - like summer one day and reverting to winter the next - it's no surprise but should have been better monitored. Staff may have been distracted by the power issue in the kitchen which caused a delay with food service. This was handled professionally and the service charge was deducted from our bill before it was handed to us with sincere apologies. Could not have been better handled. Toilets are downstairs, so not wheelchair accessible, but decorated with stunning red tiles and a traditional Indian textile print (so of course I had to take pics! Don't you think the way loos are decorated speaks to how a business sees its diners? Definitely guests at MZ).

Great atmosphere and ambience. Food is presented lovely and taste was also really good. The small street food portions allows you to enjoy different items of the menu. Good selection of veg and non veg and the samosa chaat is a must have.
