We found this place unexpectedly, whilst looking for somewhere to eat on Saturday night. We had to wait as we hadn’t pre-booked. It was definitely worth the wait, the food especially the duck was amazing, and the crispy shredded chilli beef was fantastic! The restaurant is small and a bit crowded but the food definitely makes up for it! Definitely recommend

It is my regular lunch for the best roast duck in London. A great deal during the weekday where you get the complimentary daily soup and orange with your meal. Dinner time and weekends can be a very long wait and more expensive. However, it can no longer claim to serve the world's best roast duck.(The roast duck leg meat was dry this week). The top award belongs to their relative who opened #VillageRoastDuck in Kuala Lumpur; and the feuding Yung Kee HK family member who runs #Kam's Wan Chai Hong Kong.

Best roast duck in London! Food is always amazing!! At prime time the queue goes out the door & onto the street & that's when you know the food must be great considering it's surrounded by loads of other Chinese restaurants yet people are happily waiting for this one in particular!!!

Great restaurant big place ,i think it fits for 50 or 70 people inside so here's my experience. Me and my family (5 people) went here for something to eat and we ordered about 5 dishes, crispy belly pork (photo) ,roast duck boneless (photo) ,some veggie ,noodle ,and egg fried rice for 3 people. I have to say that the main star in this restaurant is the roast duck it have a great taste it serve on this pool of sauce and under the duck they serve a chunk of cabbage and that's it for my review. #peace

I used to frequent Bayswater area back in the days I was based in London. I have a few favourite restaurants in the area. Interestingly, I have never tried this Four Seasons outlet before. I've been to the one in Chinatown but not here. I tried in the past but queueing up put me and my friends off.

This time round, we made reservation to be sure. We still had to wait when we arrived but that was just for a few, tolerable minutes. We were seated in the table next to the pillar so the space was a little cramped. None of us minded this. The important thing was that we were seated.

I often describe places like this as a Chinese cantina where you simply eat and go. Service here was fast and efficient but not friendly and warm. Like I said, it is an "eat and go" kind of place. Service is always manic because the team needs to ensure that food is served at the shortest amount of time possible. There are also pressure on customers to finish quickly and not linger because there are people still on queue outside. A first encounter with auntie (the most senior female staff) might offend you; you might even think that she was being rude. However, there is nothing personal with the way she talks or handles things. She does that to keep service moving fast. It is not her intent to appear mean or to offend.

Despite this "rough" looking service, this place is very popular. Customers, us included, flock to this place because of good food. We ordered a few dishes for sharing that evening. We had a whole special roasted duck (Cantonese style), a combination platter of barbecued pork (char siu) and crispy pork belly, stewed beef brisket in hot pot, prawn fried noodles and rice. Everything was delicious and authentic. The dishes were not anglicised for the sake of sales. Each dish came in full flavours which seemed to be appreciated by its patrons. From what I've seen, the Cantonese duck was the most popular item. This was also the star on our table. It was moist with that savoury flavour from the marinate. One of my friends loved it so much that she even considered getting one to take back to Barcelona. This version can easily match the ones you find in good restaurants in Hong Kong and Guangzhou in terms of look, aroma and taste. The other dishes were equally impressive. I will not attempt to describe them here but I would encourage you to try them.

Hands down, this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Expect to be impressed but don't look for that friendly service.

The service is slow and rude. The more senior the server you get, the worse the service. But still this place is almost full because they get the food right. All soups are very good. Duck is amazing and all sizzling steak dishes are good, especially the black bean sauce. Too bad the bad service instills this negative energy in me everytime I visit.

The Four Season Roast House is easily an iconic symbol of the East in London.  With its celebrity like popularity, the Four Season Roast House name has spread back to the east as far as Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.  In fact, there are a couple of branches in Malaysia, and Bangkok; perhaps even more!  Coming to London, I knew I had to taste for myself whether the Four Season Roast House is the real deal or plain hype.

Satisfied. My friends were craving for Chinese food as soon as we arrived London. Boy!! We stayed at the Bayswater area and it was just walking distance to Queensway. We found Four Seasons' BBQ items quite impressive before we decided to eat there.
We were not disappointed with their food. Roasted Duck had crispy skin and tasty meat. BBQ Pork was tender. Salty Fish and Chicken Fried Rice; and Singapore Fried Rice Noodles both were good. However all dishes were a bite salty.
Service was quite attentive.

Went for a pre-concert dinner with my son and we found the food sublime; the battered soft crab starter ESP so! We were the only persons of non Asian decent eating so that speaks volumes. Get there early as it gets busy from 6 onwards. Highly recommended.

You've not had roast duck till you've had Four Seasons roast duck (or Gold Mine's, or Magic Wok's, but hey, such is the joy of variety). Ask anyone in London where the best roast duck is to be had, and the answer will probably be one of these three places. It's not that we're short of restaurants selling roast duck in Chinatown, so it is quite surprising that all three restaurants named above are located along the Queensway / Bayswater stretch. The lead waitress (perhaps an understatement, as she is pretty much front of restaurant) is a rather loud, but definitely likeable lady. She's the one you sweet-talk into giving you a table, and she's the one you smile at for more roast duck gravy. The impression I have so far is that you don't want to be on the wrong side of her (you don't want duck without gravy, do you). Usually, there are people dining here at all times of day. We've had dinner as late as 10.30pm when we still had to wait for a table, and we weren't even the last ones in. Us

This Chinese place offers good value food combined with a good service as well. The roast ducks are it's main specialty and that's why most of the times it's packed totally. This is surely not one of those places for exclusive dining and all but the food is just excellent. The ambience is just fine, although sometimes it is a bit too cramped and it's difficult to have a conversation but well, mostly people come for food.

I was here recently and was quite impressed with it. The food was excellent, especially the duck and pork which were cooked to perfection. The ambience is quite decently authentic. There is a wide range of options on the menu to choose from and most of them are pretty interesting as well. The service is pretty quick and efficient.

Went to this place after a magazine review read that they offered the best roast duck. The duck wasn't disappointing at all, the meat was tender and succulent, and the sauce was yummy. This doesn't mean that the other dishes here were any less, they were all amazing too. They had an interesting variety of food on offer, all cooked to perfection. I even got the leftover packed.

Particularly famous for its roast duck, this place is a real charmer. One can enjoy watching the chefs prepare ducks in front of their eyes while the carefully dissect to perfection.
The service here is fast and offers your duck in a unique fashion (on or off the bone). What is fascinating is the fact that though this place is mostly very crowded, the chefs always uphold the crispy aromatic flavours of the duck.

One will never leave this place dissatisfied or discontent as the experience is just brilliant!

I have been hearing the reviews about how good the duck is here , and that I might not have tasted something like this before.
I was not at all keen for going here because I really do not like trying new places ( well that is just me).
The ambiance was nice as I entered but it was irrelevant for me to pay any heed to that because according to me only food matters.
The duck indeed was good , the skin was crispy and the portions were also nice , but it was not that great that I will go to this place again.

If you are looking for an authentic Chinese experience, this is the place you should be at. I visited this place with the company of some friends, and really enjoyed the duck we ordered. One full sized duck was big enough for three people to have with pancakes, and it was a surprise that we were able to finish it off. The service could be improved, they were not very efficient. But you should go here for the food.

This restaurant offers on of the best Roast Duck. But the major drawback is the waiting queue to get seated in this restaurant, it is usually very long. It is advised to make prior bookings, but even after booking a place, you might have to wait for at least an hour outside! A few of the must-try dishes apart from the Roast duck is the Crispy Aromatic Duck and Hot Plate Sea food.

I was wondering to myself the other day as to why this place was always so crowded. Now I know why! The duck portion which is roasted to perfection and spiced with utmost care is just over the top perfect! One leaves this place satisfied with the service and food as though it is a memorable experience.

They serve one of the best duck style barbecue rice ever, i don't think there can even be a competition of such amazing quality even in China or Hong Kong. I being a Taiwanese vouch for one of a kind taste.I frequent this place a lot. The only let down for me would be the rice which is only average.
I recommend trying- barbecue triple combination.

Whenever in London, I visit this place without fail. While you share your tables with others, you also have your food thrown at you. The menu has a variety of dishes however the most sold dishes here are the rice and pork. In spite of the food being slammed at you, one strangely enjoys this place a lot.

The overall experience i had at this place was definitely very delightful.I would forward my friends' opinion in recommending the impeccable roast duck. You might also want to try the tofu dishes which was equally pleasant.
If I was to note a letdown for this restaurant i would criticize the crowded atmosphere which kind of kills the ambiance.

Having been impressed by the Chinese barbecue items on the menu ,we decide to go there to satiate our craving for Chinese food, the location was comfortable.
Although i wasn't disappointed with the dishes but for my palate the salt was a little too much in all the dishes.Apart from that the roasted duck was crispy and the barbecue pork soft.
The service was pretty good and caring.

The menu here is good and extensive. They house the usual Cantonese, kind of stuff. However, it appears people come here more for the roasts. They have a lot of the usual roasts such as the roast pork belly, duck etc housed on their menu. One can share these, or if they are very hungry order the single portions.

Great food. Average service. Just wish Service reflected the quality of the food. People say the food is worth the bad service, but it's pretty poor enough to ruin the experience slightly and the rating reflects that. Highlights are the Roast Pork and Crispy Belly Pork. They also have a branch in Chinatown. Despite the bad service I would recommend everyone goes at least once.

I took my brother here for his birthday and we werenot disappointed. It is always busy at this restaurant and you have to go early to get a table as long as you don't mind waiting all night. The restaurant is known for its Cantonese Duck . We ordered beef in black bean sauce too which was great. The restaurant serves great duck . Also the won ton soup was great. Ordered Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce which was delicious. Make sure you eat here if you have the opportunity !!! Finish the meal with an apple toffee fritter or banana fritter & jasmine tea. This is my favourite Chinese restaurant ever. Unbelievable cuisine !!
The restaurant is ideal for a first date too !!!

This is a great Chinese restaurant in central London. This is my second visit here. I ordered Prawn Crackers, Hot and Sour Soup, along with Sweet and Sour King Prawn. I washed it down with a Tsing Tao Beer. Great authentic food in a nice clean restaurant. There is a "discretionary" 12.5 percent service charge that will be added to your bill, not sure how that is "discretionary".

Busy evening but the service was great and the food tasted fantastic. Specially the Duck. Roasted Duck yes run and try it. The best i have tasted. The service was 100 % and at the end of the meal the manager came with free dessert on the house. She was friendly and smiling and gave us the story of the restaurant. Can really recommend this to all my Norwegiand friends.

8.9/10. Authentic Cantonese cuisine in west London. Food keeps in high quality and portion is ok for share. Service is normal but atmosphere is bit squeezed with some classical playlist. 💷 £25-50per, 💁🏻‍♂️ 10-15mins, quicker than Chinatown branch.

As always, their roast duck lives up to their reputation. Truly enjoyed the dish with the fats from the duck and not very gamey taste. It’s juicy, tender and flavourful. The calamari and roasted pork is superb, tender as it gets. The roasted skin is crispy and I really enjoyed the dish. The manager & servers are top notched. Efficient and good customer service. Will definitely come back here again.

A fairly good Chinese restaurant. According to reviews their speciality is roasted duck, and I'd feel inclined to agree. Service was terrible, communication was so hard that I had to resort to point at the menu. As expected on these places, atmosphere is "order, est, pay and sod off"

Four Seasons is hands down one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. While I typically visit their branches in Soho, the Queensway location has won my heart. The service here surpasses the one in Soho, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience, making it a place I always look forward to returning to.

This place is insanely busy and the queuing system is ANYTHING BUT CLEAR. FYI, you need to go in despite the queue outside, speak to the staff at the entrance, say your party size and your name and then join the queue outside. Once inside, getting the attention of the busy waiting staff is impossible without rudely shouting someone over. Overall although the service was unpleasant, the food was the delicious.
