Yuzu is a small restaurant with a big attitude. From the outside it looks quite clinical, but when you enter you realise that the staff and the ambience are both welcoming and warm. This restaurant is about more than just the food. So many aspects of the decor are hand made or hand finished. You instinctively want to touch everything. The food was sublime. From the squid to the sashimi, the sushi or the salads, everting made room for discussion. The little touches of Yuzu on the plate, helped to lift every dish. The tuna with feta, endive and red wine reduction was as unexpected as it was lovely. I heartily recommend this for a good nights dining.

Great evening with beautiful plates and tasty Japanese dishes with à French twist. Turbot, sea bream, prawns, lamb, deconstructed cheese cake, I went for the full tasting menu. Also good wines from a small supplier such an appellation that I didn't know before , a Saint -Pourcain.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere is stunning. Small, cosy yet spacious and relaxing. The manager / head waiter served us was superb. Friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and works so hard to make sure you’re enjoying the experience. Food was delicious and fresh. I went with my partner for a romantic dinner and it was perfect. Thank you for a fabulous evening ! (My photos don’t do it justice) Xxxxx

Wow..we stumbled onto this place looking for good sushi! Very impressed the quality of the sushi was outstanding, excellent quality, beautifully presented and very fresh. Stand out was the seated salmon which was melt in your mouth, the courgettes were fresh , hot and rhe calamari was like butter. The service was great too, wine excellent. Go. I've found a new sushi place to go to now:)

Extremely impressed by all of the dishes we ordered at Yuzu on a weekday. Walk-in guests, but can see this place booking up with long waits— I feel like we were very lucky! The intimate experience is part of the fun here, as you look around and see what all of your fellow diners have chosen from the menu— a feast for the eyes and mouth! Would be a great date night spot. The crispy duck salad was a surprise favorite and a gorgeous presentation. Also loved the chef’s maki which was spicy and fresh with some surprising additions like Kale chips and fried onions to garnish. The torched salmon sushi was among the best sushi menu items I have had in my life— served warm, it was just perfect. Salt Chili squid was our least favourite. Service was also excellent. Haven’t sampled much of London’s sushi scene yet but Yuzu would be easily among the top sushi restaurants in Toronto, Seoul or San Francisco where I have lived. The flavours here are wonderful.

Amazing place, in the heart of Liverpool street, the food is very tasty and fresh food. Sushi are classic but make it in proper way, and chef come to my table and ask if everything was ok. Also the beer was amazing, I took it the Kirin Ichiban not usual to find like the classic Asahi beer. I was alone so is also good for person are alone and don't want to fell uncomfortable in restaurant. Price a bit expensive, but not crazy. Recommend.

I’ve always loved this place. I think it’s a neat concept. This sort of mall conveyor belt of color coordinates with different pricing and minimalist architecture. I’m basic, so I don’t ask for much. The only thing to be careful of is taking so many plates because it’s so convenient that your bill might be a bazillion pounds. But hey, it’s my favorite place to eat. And it’s hidden, it’s like eating at a Japanese grandmothers house.

Absolutely perfect! The sushi and hot dishes here are lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious! I've been coming here for years and cannot get enough of it. The basket of prawns is a little party in your mouth with the bubbliest batter you've ever had and succulent prawns. I could happily eat here every day, although I would be incredibly poor and the size of a house if I did...would be totally worth it though! Go now if you love your tummy!

Lovely, intimate little spot, a very authentic homage to the Tokyo izakaya experience. Superb sushi prepared right in front of us, delicious black sesame ice cream to finish, and service was excellent from arrival to departure. One of the best Japanese spots I’ve been to in London, and we’ll definitely be back again.

A wonderful meal in a very cool restaurant. Menu is a good combination of the classic sushi rolls and some more innovative ones. Good value for money as well.

Having eaten at many different sushi restaurants in the city I was looking for a small intimate place for a dinner with a friend. Yuzu had a fantastic atmosphere, small and cosy with a great opportunity to watch the chefs making the sushi. Food was tasty, great options and decent portion sizes. Also seemed very good value for money. I’d recommend the soft shell crab tempura roll, it was excellent.

Tiny sushi bar... Amazing meal at a great value. My wife and I were able to reserve seats online 30 min prior to arriving. 30 pounds for a miso soup, sesame salad, shrimp tempura roll, and a tuna/salmon set.

Outstanding place that’s a hole in the wall on Artillery Lane. Service is attentive and personal and food introduces top quality and some interesting styles to your palate. Rice bowls are pretty delicious - I liked the salmon teriyaki although it could be better seasoned.

Great atmosphere once there were a few people there (was very quiet until 7pm). Good food at fair prices. It’s mostly bar/counter seating in a dimly lit, small dining room which creates a cool feel to the place. Enjoyed the food but lacked that something special to make it 5*. The miso aubergine was particularly nice, and the sushi salmon set good. Tuna sashimi was tasty, though a small portion. The pork & prawn dumplings were a bit disappointing. Wine was nice - I had an Albariño.

Great little Japanese hideaway with conveyor belt sushi, daily specials and a chic vibe. Perfect for a quick lunch or more relaxed dinner. The tempura courgettes were delicious!
