Its no wonder this amazing venue won the "Best Live Music Venue " reader poll via Time Out. With just 30 seats and a total capacity of 65 , its a wonderfully intimate space where the evening is all about the music.
Last night we had the pleasure of seeing three artists live:
Harry Pane - Gravelly, high-energy bluesman with guitar, harmonica and stomp board. What an opener !
Next up came Natalie Shay - a 17 year old award-winning singer-songwriter from London. Something tells me this lady will soon be playing huge venues - but to se her up close and personal was a real treat.
To finish we were treated to the intense soulful melodies of Alex Francis, who played a mean guitar, and spoke of a full band set I would just love to see. An absolute wow.
The whole evening showed that the live music scene in London is flourishing.
The Green Note is very, very special.
Love this place love Risa always excellent music best hang
One of the best folk venues in London. I've always enjoyed the music there. They've also been kind enough for a group of Leonard Cohen devotees to meet there and celebrate the man's music and poetry!
A small & intimate venue with one of the smallest stages in London but attracts some of the greatest acts on the circuits.
The sound is great, the atmosphere relaxed and informal.
Keep an eye on the snacks board too!
One of, if not, the best music venues in London.
Love this Camden venue. Awesome sound, sight lines, friendly staff, great eats and drinks and they pick great artists to perform.
Great music, great staff, and great beer. They even have their own label beer too! :-)
I had my first Green Note experience a couple of weeks ago. An intimate ground floor affair of good quality entertainment resulting in a memorable night. I noticed in the flyers that another top notch artist was appearing at the Green Note Basement, snagged a pair of tickets, and later found out it had sold out.
On the night I found out how small the Green Note Basement is. Of course it's sold out, how lucky we were to be part of this select few and my only criticism is that I was so close to the artist that my camera had a job to focus. The sound quality was superb and the staff were very friendly. Thoroughly recommended, find an artist you might enjoy and attend with no expectations. Enjoy! ;-)
For me the Green Note is the best venue in London. Run by two enterprising women, Immy and Risa, they have created a lovely atmosphere, good choice of drinks and vegetarian snacks. Plenty of time to chat before the show and in the interval but best of all people listen whilst the artists perform. Last night The Small Glories were performing. Wonderful americana/country music. They have lots like this along with folk and singer-songwriters and also some jazz. Entry cost is usually very reasonable.
There's also a smaller basement venue holding 25 people. Just as wonderful as the main room but very intimate. So good that I've hired it for a private gig later in the year.
Beautiful interior, cosy and friendly atmosphere, great staff and fantastic live music. Unique place!
If you like your serious music with excellent sound quality and lovely staff from the front to the back then this is your place. Lovely to share this venue with fellow serious music lovers...brilliant!
What a wonderful venue this is. Intimate, well run and crammed full of authenticity. Even the queue for the loo was fun.....I'll be back very soon.
Lovely friendly atmosphere good music and vegetarian food.
Great live music venue with great company , the drinks are reasonably priced and the vegetarian food is delicious.
First trip to the basement and won't be the last to this fantastic little live music venue.
My new favourite place in London. Very nice atmosphere, great musicians, open to emerging talents and I've seen a lot of them.
It's a wonderful wee place to play. Lovely staff too.
Love this place! Intimate, creative and special....
Great atmosphere, Friendly staff and amazing music. *****
Went to Green Note for Fado last night - what an amazing place.
Lovely venue. Staff are friendly and inviting
Great music by singer/songwriters.
Was there on Sunday night to watch an act who were fantastic.
Great job
Thanks
Wonderful venue the management should be proud of how the establishment is run and the acts they give opportunities to.
Last night Two Ways Home were the headline act who I had not heard live before but where outstanding vocal arrangements musicianship par excellence with good songs made for a great evening
Great evening out at The Green Note last Thursday. We saw two remarkable sets from Rebecca Ann Loebe and Robert Vincent who captivated a full house in the celebrated Camden music venue with their original songs and stories. A bonus too to catch up with Jack Harris again, there this time as a punter not performer. A warm and friendly few hours in Immy's and Risa's uniquely special concert snuggery - always good to return there!
Interesting vegetarian food, they specialize in tapas and salads. Good service. Live music every night too, highly recommended.
Not a big place. Lots of live music events take place here. Some simple vegetarian dishes were available on the night we were there to listen to Jacob and Drinkwater were playing.
A cozy place in the heart of Camden well made for a small gigs. I’ve enjoyed Emily Mae Winters performance, she is a great singer songwriter.
One of Camden’s gems. A down-to-earth live music venue with great acoustics and intimate and warm atmosphere. Attracts fantastic folk, Americana and jazz musicians at very affordable prices.

I got a chance to see Sons of Town Hall at Green Note recently, and the experience was fantastic! The venue was perfect for the act. It was small and very charming. Sons of Town Hall were brilliant! My overall experience here was great! 👍
A very cozy place with live music, drinks and some food.
We came here for a "Gypsy Guitar" evening and absolutely loved it. Our jazz trio performed formidably!
Be aware that the basement room is quite small - probably 10 seats or so. The best places were taken by the time we arrived. Regardless of where you sit, you will hear the music very well.
We'll be coming here again soon!
Beautiful night. Super friendly front desk and nice food. Music made me dance all the way back.p
What an amazing venue. Cosy, intimate, alive and breathing. Green Note Camden transforms live music into something more - an experience unlike many other smaller venues - palpable and immersive. The staff are so friendly that you will almost feel like being with a group of friends! Amazing place, make sure to check out an evening of live music there with great drinks from the bar and snacks/small dishes.
Excellent small venue, very intimate, great sound if not a little loud!! We love the place and will be back!!
Brilliant vibe, it’s intimate but not cramped. The staff were very friendly … we had a beer and delicious vegetarian bar food and we saw great band too. We left feeling exhilarated.
We will be booking for another night soon.
Fantastic little pub with great ambiance and even a tasty menu. Went for a gig and it was truly a place for music lovers.
Awesome independent Artists, very cool speakeasy vibe and tasty cocktails. Great place to see live music with a cosy atmosphere
Great little venue, lovely atmosphere, great acts, very friendly staff. All round awesome place to visit. Very cozy.
Sweet basement music venue in the heart of Camden town, providing an intimate space for live music. We saw webb city play who were superb.
Nice little venue
Easy to get to. Drinks weren't overly expensive.
I love this place! Amazing music venue! Intimate and cozy. The gigs are always top quality and on everyday on the main space upstairs and on weekends also on the basement. You can have some vegetarian snacks there, like humus with pita or crudités or vegetable rolls. Nice vegetarian or vegan cakes. Friendly staff. Be sure to book in advance as it goes often sold out. Arrive early (about door opening to seat) half of the tickets are standing. Must try in London if you like music.
Very cozy and intimate venue. Both upstairs and the basement are very nice.
Music is always high standard and you can enjoy nice wine and snacks from the bar.
Would recommend for those who love jazz or blues.
A great night of wonderful traditional music. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
