A great chain with innovative minds backstage. The current special burger promoted as 'Vote Rump' immediately catches your eyes and even before you can decide you have already ordered the same and dived into its bursting melodrama of taste. The sweet potato fries and the inhouse ciders and ales are remarkable accompaniments to go with.
I like GBK. They are generally very consistent with what they offer and this branch is no different. The server was new and so the service wasn't up to the usual high standard but the halloumi bites really made up for that. I do not know what is in the dipping sauce but honestly, I don't care. It's so good.
Plus, whoever came up with blue cheese on a burger needs a prize.
Tasty burgers, nice vibe and decor. Lovely staff. You could do worse than coming here to scratch that itch for a patty (non beef options a plenty) between a bun.

Amazing service, great aesthetic feel, and fab food! We got the Arnie special which comes with a juicy beef sandwich/burger, choice of fries, and we opted for a milkshake all for £14. Super filling and delicious. The only small downer was that it does get a bit chilly in there.. some warmth could do!
I tasted GBK burgers for the first time and I must say their burgers are the nicest and tastiest burgers I have had in a very long time, I was asked how I wanted it which was cooked to perfection. It does cost a lot for a burger but it really was worth the money.
The presentation of the food and packaging is the best I've ever seen, cardboard boxes instead of plastic (hate plastic packaging for food).
Their customer service was ok I guess but i wasn't greeted with a smile, but I would go there again to eat in.

I've grudgingly visited three of these places over the last five years and been disappointed every single time with the overcooked, tasteless shoe leather I've been served.
Despite explaining every single time that I would like my burger cooked Medium it's been served up rubbery and grey. Until today. Finally I got a waitress instead of a manager and she seemed happy to put the customer first. Give her a promotion to something like area manager. 03.06.14
GBK serve a great selection of burgers, all different to one another, the chips are thick and extremely well cooked and the garlic mayonnaise is amazing. Staff are really friendly and newly refurbished restaurants are modern and quirky. Love to eat here!
Good menu for less than 10£. I recommend the blue cheese but
Had a very tasty veggie burger, skinny fries, and their version of coleslaw. (The meat smelled very good though). Nice music playing (not too loud). You have to order at the bar. Staff don't come and enquire 'how you are doing', but it's just not that kind of place! Presentation nice (onion rings come 'stacked'). Big free caraffe of tab water for the table. Staff was attentive and friendly, the other diners seemed to be enjoying themselves.
What an awesome way to celebrate your lunch hour with the gourmet burgers and the sides and the dips. Me and my best friend thouroghly enjoyed the bunless gourmet experience. Will come back again if I am in the area. Loved it. I would highly recommend this place.
The original gourmet burger. Simply great burgers with minimum of fuss. Casual, laid back feel, with a touch of New Orleans feel. They've really got their act together for the tasty, "Let's go grab a burger" after training or before the club vibe.
Food was amazing,probably one of the best burgers i've had yet. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back.
Service was lovely. It was very quiet so we got to sit where we wanted. The food was fresh and made to our specification. I will definitely go again.
